Was Noah’s Flood Global or Regional? Nov 05, 2020

Show notes

Many modern theologians reject the idea that Noah’s Flood surrounded the globe, and they confine the event to a small area in Mesopotamia. Scientist Dr Robert Carter and apologist Keaton Halley discuss what the Bible actually says about the scale of the Flood, the historical shift in the church’s interpretation, and the role that the sciences of geology and genetics play in the debate.

How We Teach Children the Truth of Creation Oct 22, 2020

Show notes

Teaching our sons and daughters a biblical worldview is one of the most important things we can do as Christian parents. Even from a young age, our children are absorbing information about origins through storybooks, cartoons, and documentaries. It is important for parents to be proactive in presenting our children with a biblical answer in all aspects of learning. One of the primary audiences of the Scripture, “always being prepared to make a defense to anyone who asks for a reason for the hope that is in you” (1Peter 3:15), would be our children no matter how young or old.

The Age of the Earth According to the Bible Oct 15, 2020

Show notes

How old does the Bible say the earth is? Can we trust biblical chronology, and how close to an exact ‘age’ can we get? Is the Greek translation of the Old Testament a better record of the Bible’s history? These questions can be answered, but we have to think through the issues.

How Did All the Animal Kinds Fit on the Ark? Oct 01, 2020

Show notes

Skeptics often say the account of Noah’s Flood is not credible, because it would be impossible to fit two of every creature in the world onto a single boat and sustain them for a year. But when one considers the size of the Ark and the number of animals Noah needed to take, this challenge turns out to be not so daunting. Further challenges are also raised and addressed as well, including how fish and insects could survive the Flood conditions despite not being present on the Ark.

Does Carbon Dating Prove Millions of Years? Sep 03, 2020

Show notes

Does Carbon Dating prove millions of years? And why is carbon dating problematic for the idea of millions of years? Joel Tay and Scott Gillis discuss how all fossil and rock dating methods hinge on flawed scientific interpretations of data that point to a young age (thousands of years, not millions) of geological finds.

What is the Gap Theory? Aug 06, 2020

Show notes

Many in the church have been taught the gap theory, that there is a gap spanning millions of years between Genesis 1:1 and 1:2. But there are huge theological problems with this idea that most people have not been taught as part of this compromise to insert deep time into the Genesis account.
