He's no stranger to the podcast world, Adel T was one of the co-hosts of Loose Merto, a podcast focusing on different issues in the East African community. Though they may be on an indefinite hiatus, Adel graciously joined us as our special guest this week. We compared the differences between American and Canadian Hararis, how we've assimilated and who's more in tune with the Harari culture! We highlighted the several different events within the global Harari community and how the recent lack of these events has had an impact on networking and meeting amongst first-generation Hararis...aka we're trying to see everyone get married lol! In this week's episodes...I (Sara) did one of the hardest things I've had to do in a long time.....admit that Amir was right 🙄. We spoke about using My Fitness Pal and how useful it has been for understanding the food we consume on a daily basis. Amir also explains that diet culture just ain't it.

We also spoke about how Apple can kind of suck (sometimes) and how it almost convinced me to switch over to Android, but let's be real, Apple ＞ Android ...respectfully 😌

We got into a deep conversation about the language and cultural differences between us and our parents and how that plays a role in our relationship with them.
