143: Delayed Justice: Darryl Hunt, Part 1 Oct 26, 2020
    Show notes

Debbie Sykes, a 26 year old woman, doesn't show up for work as usual. Later that day, her body is found in a field. A 911 call under a fake name leads to an investigation that was botched from the start. Bullied witnesses, members of the KKK, and shoddy lineup pictures were just some of the reasons why Darryl Hunt was convicted of the murder, just to have the conviction overturned, and be tried again... and convicted again. And this is only part 1.

142: Delayed Justice: Levon Brooks and Kennedy Brewer Oct 19, 2020
    Show notes

In a small Mississippi town, a three year old girl is taken from her bed at night only to be found raped and murdered. The victim's mother's ex-boyfriend is convicted based on bite mark evidence. Then, another three year old girl is found raped and murdered. This time, a different man is convicted, also based on bite mark evidence. How could two cases so similar have two different perpetrators?
