    Show Notes

    CoreChristianity.com

Key questions answered in today's show:

    1. It seems like you teach a "once saved always saved" idea of salvation. How does this motivate us to grow in holiness?

    2. When I read of Paul 'doing what he shouldn't and not doing what he should,' it doesn't sound like 100% repentance. I'm sure this isn't really the case, but the thought comes to mind.

    3. In 1 Corinthians 15, what are the consequences if Jesus was not raised from the dead? What does this mean for you guys personally?

    4. I have wanted to get married for a few years now, and I'm trying to be open to the possibility that God has called me to singleness. My question is, how can I know God's will in this area?

Is It Okay for Christians Be in Debt? Jul 26, 2019
    Show notes

Episode 235 | Dr. Michael Horton and Adriel Sanchez answer caller questions.

    Show Notes

    CoreChristianity.com

Key questions answered in today's show:

    1. When is it okay to change churches? What we should look for in a healthy church?

    2. Is it okay for Christians to be in debt? Should we only spend money within our means?

    3. A friend attended a liberal divinity school at a well-respected secular university. He suggested that I attend a world religions class so that I could gain a better understanding of world religions and that while he is a Christian, if someone practices another religion that shouldn't make a difference, that basically, it's going to be okay because that is the religion they know and it's how they relate to God. I mentioned the calling of the great commission, and he said that the call to share the gospel with others was misunderstood on my part and that Jesus would respect different faith traditions. I would love some feedback for future conversations with this good friend.

    4. What does it mean to be filled with the Spirit?

    5. How can youth ministers encourage our youth to read the Bible? What do you think youth need to know that might inspire them to read it?

Did Jesus Go to Hell Before His Resurrection? Jul 25, 2019
    Show notes

Episode 234 | Dr. Michael Horton and Adriel Sanchez answer caller questions.

    Show Notes

    CoreChristianity.com

Key questions answered in today's show:

    1. What does first John 2 mean when it says not to be attached by the things of this world? How does this fit with being appreciative and thankful for God's creation?

    2. I believe churches should format their liturgies to a regulative form and scripture-based worship. For this is Gods prerogative on how to approach him. Now, my question is, how can we reconcile this to the dancing of David? Others justify this saying that church worship must be like David's, without limits.

    3. When the creeds talk about Jesus descending into hell, what exactly does that mean? How should we understand this?

    4. Isaiah 6:9 cannot be referring to Jesus when it says, 'Everlasting Father.' I'm confused why Isaiah is applying being the Father to Jesus? If Jesus and the Father are distinct persons how does this fit?

    5. Is it fair to say that Israel was the Old Testament church? I have heard you say something like this before, but shouldn't we keep Judaism and Christianity separate?

    4. What's the best way to motivate a person to lead a holy life?

    5. Matthew 7:22 says, "not everyone who says to me Lord, Lord will enter the kingdom of heaven," were they not saved because they didn't trust in Christ alone?

    4. Should Christians be sending their kids to public schools when it seems like the foundation and worldview they operate from is secular humanism?

    5. In Ephesians 4, Paul speaks again about Christ being the head of his body, the church. Is this just a metaphor?
