THE KARDASHIANS S2 EP 3 RECAP Oct 06, 2022

Show notes

We're back! This episode was nowhere near the Emmy award winning content of the premiere, but an enjoyable watch nonetheless. Emma and Julie first discuss Kim & Kendall's Prada moment: Kim's momager persona, Pete mentions, and Kanye's 'playful' texts (which gets into a conversation about how they feel he almost desires Kim to have fashion insecurity, hence needing to rely on him for input/guidance.) There's also a brief current Kanye discussion thrown in there.

They then get into the iconic trio of Khloé, Kris & Corey getting high in good ole' Palm Springs, and discuss how it's surprising Kris and edibles don't have a stronger association. Lastly is a moment on Kourtney's confessional, where they reflect on how sometimes hearing about her and Travis' relationship can be so much more impactful than solely seeing the PDA, and the power in having a partner that makes you feel unconditionally and entirely beautiful.

We're back!!!!!! Emma and Julie are so excited to dive into the premiere of The Kardashians Season 2. This episode was a lot to process. Hulu opened the season in almost reverse chronological order, with what would have theoretically been the finale as the first episode. Emma and Julie break down the logistics of this, explaining the timelines as compared to Season 1. Khloé was unbelievably vulnerable in explaining the surrogacy journey amid Tristan's infidelity, and we see the rest of the family support her in really meaningful ways. Team Khloé forever.

Show notes

Emma and Julie begin the episode discussing Kim's story of Hailey, announcing she'll be on Who's In My Bathroom. This somehow snowballs into a conversation of other notable interview moments, as well as a throwback to Kris' daytime talk show, and a fantasy of a Mindy Weiss x Kris Jenner limited series.

Tiffany Haddish / Jimmy Kimmel: https://youtu.be/C2PneBztZ3g

Trigger warning for Khloé & Lamar episode recap: disordered eating, body shaming, and body image.

Episode 3 of Khloé & Lamar centers around Khloé's relationship to body image, and the way the media, the public, and even her family, contributed to the toxicity. Emma and Julie went deep on it all: how viewing this in 2022 (versus 2011 when it aired) was really eye opening, how society treats women and their bodies, Kris and Khloé's relationship evolution, Khloé and Lamar, and so much more.
