    another surrender. Sep 13, 2026
    Show notes

Natasha is back from a mid-season break with an episode on yielding, timing, and what it really means to surrender daily. This one is a download of lessons she's been sitting with.

She talks about why she's stopped fighting the urge to step back, what her sister's labor and delivery taught her about knowing when to yield and when to push, and how facing the facts of where you actually are...not where you think you should be, can become the doorway to real progress, even in the smallest areas of life.

The episode closes with a study of John 4 and the woman at the well: what it means that God met her in the middle of her ordinary day, and what that says about the pressure so many of us put on our own faith journeys to look a certain way.

If you've been feeling behind, weary, or unsure whether stepping back makes you inconsistent, this episode is for you. The maintenance check continues!

    In this episode:

    • Why breaks are maintenance, not a step backward
    • Knowing when to yield vs. when to push
    • Facing the facts of where you are right now
    • A fresh read of John 4 and the woman at the well
    • What daily surrender actually looks like

you hurt my feelings, friend ft. Lataryn Rainey-Perry Aug 09, 2026
    Show notes

Adult friendships aren't easy, and this week my friend Rainey and I are getting honest about what it actually takes to maintain one.

Lataryn Rainey-Perry is a writer, publisher, and creative visionary based in Charleston, SC, and the founder of Penwork Publishing LLC — a women owned and veteran-owned creative studio helping storytellers bring their ideas to life. She's also been my friend for years and we've had many years of networking brunches, magazine covers, and a five-year gap where we didn't speak at all.

In this episode we talk about what happened during that gap, why "I'm a low-maintenance friend" isn't the flex I thought it was, and how love languages apply just as much to your friendships as they do in your romantic relationships. We get into transactional friendships, the ones that quietly fade without a fight, and the conversation most of us avoid having because we're scared of the answer.

If you've ever wondered whether a friendship is worth fighting for or how to bring one back after time apart, this one's for you.

maintenance moment: go shoot. Aug 01, 2026
    Show notes

It's my day off and I have nothing pressing on the list. I'm laying in bed thinking about picking up a second job just to catch up, put some money toward the creative studio, hit some goals I set for myself, but instead of doing something I'm laying there complaining about it and making plans in my own head.

Then I saw a quote by Gary V that said, "You can't score if you don't shoot" and it hit me so hard I got up, cracked open a Bloom, grabbed my black and white notebook, and did something about it.

If this maintenance moment hit you like it hit me, I built something for exactly this. The August Lock-In walks you through naming your goal, finding what's already in your hands, and taking the one shot that moves you forward this month. Less than a coffee, a step you can't afford not to take.

Download the August Lock In here!

Still not sure what your shot is? I'm opening a few 30-minute goal-clarity calls this month, one-on-one. Book yours here.

called, creative and still healing ft. Gia Peppers Jul 26, 2026
    Show notes

This one's been almost five years in the making.

In this episode, Gia Peppers, journalist, host of the Healed Girl Era podcast, and founder of Creatives of Faith sits down with Natasha and gets honest about the 6-figure deal that collapsed right before the pandemic, and how losing it forced her to separate her identity from her accomplishments. We talk about her wrestle with identity, the moment Psalm 23 broke her open, and why she believes healing takes faith, not just therapy alone. She also opens up about what it looks like to protect her peace without disappearing from the rooms she loves.

faithful over few. Jul 12, 2026
    Show notes

"Whoever is faithful in very little is also faithful in much." That's the scripture (Luke 16:10-12) anchoring this entire season, and Natasha opens the door wide with it. In this solo episode, she gets honest about what the belly pan falling off her car (twice!) taught her about ignoring root problems, and why being faithful over the little, unglamorous, unseen things is the real work of maintenance.

She breaks down the six areas of life she'll be maintenance checking this season: career & calling, faith, friendships, family, finances, and love — all through the lens of stewarding what's already in her hands before asking God for more. Natasha gets honest about her shifting walk with Christ, what she's learned about being a better friend after her Phoenix birthday trip, the systems she's built to stay consistent online without burning out, and why she's chosen to keep her relationship intentionally private this time around.

    In this episode:

    • The real-life car story behind the "maintenance check" theme
    • Luke 16:10-12 as the anchor scripture for the season
    • The six areas of focus this season
    • Building systems and consistency without losing rest
    • Choosing privacy in relationships after being overexposed before
    • This episode's Maintenance Check question

maintenance check, in real life | season 4 trailer Jul 01, 2026
    Show notes

Season 4 of Closed for Maintenance is here. This season we're doing a real maintenance check: on our careers, friendships, finances, family, faith, and love.

Season 3 taught us how to get back up. Season 4 is about what you do once you're standing.

Closed for Maintenance is back with its most personal season yet. This time we're talking about the areas we've been driving past, the things we keep meaning to get to, the conversations we've been putting off, and the parts of ourselves we've quietly let go out of order.

Across six life areas: career, friendships, finances, family, faith, and love...host Natasha Weston is doing a maintenance check in real life. With honest solo episodes and guests who aren't afraid to get honest too, Season 4 is for anyone who's been moving through life without ever stopping to check under the hood.

The maintenance check is overdue. Let's get into it.

Season 4 premieres Sunday, July 12th!

    let them. May 31, 2026
    Show notes

We made it to the Season 3 finale, and I'm ending it the only way I know how. Honestly.

In this episode, we're talking about the truth about what it means to have a village. Co-parenting challenges, a son who has been testing every last nerve, and an unexpected shift with someone I didn't see coming that changed everything.

This episode is about what happened when I finally stopped carrying things alone. The texts I sent. The phone calls where I was already crying before anyone answered. The people who showed up when I let them in, and what I think God was waiting for me to do all along.

If you've been doing it alone when you didn't have to, this one is for you. If you have people around you that you haven't let in yet, this one is for you. If what you've been calling strength is really just walls...listen up.

Topics covered: co-parenting, asking for help, vulnerability, letting people in, faith and surrender, building community, and what it actually means to let them village.

be still and know. May 17, 2026
    Show notes

Some episodes are planned. This one wasn't.

I sat down to record something else today and something in me wouldn't move toward it. Not because I was tired or distracted. Because it wasn't true. And I've learned that forcing what isn't ready is its own kind of pretending.

So I got quiet. And this is what came out of that quiet.

In this episode I'm getting honest about where I actually am with this podcast, with creating, with the pressure to keep producing...and why I'm learning that stillness isn't the absence of faith. It might actually be the fullest expression of it.

We talk about the temptation to strive, why striving is so attractive (and so costly), and what it means to anchor your confidence not in what you produce but in what you know. Because be still and know aren't just two words, they're two separate invitations. And you can't really do one without the other.

If you've been pushing through when something in you keeps saying stop this episode is for you.

    Scriptures referenced: Psalm 46:10 · Matthew 6:26 · Matthew 26:41 · Isaiah 30:15 · 1 Peter 5:7 · Philippians 4:19 · Galatians 5:25

the long way home. Apr 12, 2026
    Show notes

Some paths don't look like progress...until you're far enough along to see what they were building.

In this episode, I'm sharing my full origin story for the first time in full context. From dropping out of college and figuring out my next move from my mom's couch, to my dad handing me a one-way train ticket to New York City to chase a dream I couldn't fully name yet. I built a life there... a brand, an identity, a version of success that made sense on the outside. But something was shifting on the inside.

Then I lost my job. No warning, no explanation. And the very next morning, I walked into a bookstore and found the only autographed copy of a book on prayer, and that moment changed everything.

This episode is about what happened after. The surrender. The rebuilding. The full circle moment of being back at my mom's house...but this time with clarity, peace, and purpose instead of confusion. What once felt like being stuck now feels like covering, support, and alignment for me and my son Tyler.

Nothing was wasted. The detours, the delays, the seasons that felt like setbacks — they were all part of it. And if you're in the middle of something that doesn't make sense yet, this one's for you.

You're not behind. You just might be in the middle of your own long way home. And eventually you'll realize...you were never lost. You were being led.

broken beyond repair? Mar 08, 2026
    Show notes

Have you ever made a mistake and immediately felt the urge to fix it, hide it, or carry the weight of it on your own?

In this episode of Closed for Maintenance, Natasha reflects on a small moment that turned into a powerful reminder about grace, surrender, and the way we often try to repair things in our lives without bringing them to God first.

Sometimes the very things we worry have ruined everything are the same things God is inviting us to place back in His hands.

If you’ve ever felt like you’ve made a mess of something, or like there are parts of your life that need repair, this conversation is a gentle reminder that nothing is beyond restoration in God’s hands.
