“There Is Hope for Your Future,” Says the Lord | Day 225 Aug 13, 2025
    Show notes

    Day 225 | Jeremiah 31:15-40, Jeremiah 49:34–51:14

As judgment deepens and captivity spreads across Judah, God offers a word of hope through the prophet Jeremiah. Though Rachel weeps for her lost children and destruction seems final, the Lord promises restoration—first to the land, and then something far greater: a new covenant written not on tablets, but on hearts. This covenant, fulfilled in Jesus Christ, is not based on human obedience but on God’s unshakable grace. In the midst of judgment, God’s faithful plan unfolds with hope, redemption, and a future secured in Christ.

    A Hope and a Future in Exile | Day 224 Aug 12, 2025
    Show notes

    Day 224 | Jeremiah 23:33–24:10; Jeremiah 29:1–31:14

God uses a vision of two baskets of figs to illustrate His message to Judah: those taken into exile are the good figs—preserved and protected for restoration—while those left in the land will face judgment. Through Jeremiah, God tells the exiles to settle, build, and even seek the prosperity of Babylon. Despite their hardship, God assures them of His plans for their good. Jeremiah 29:11, often quoted, reminds us that even in our hardest seasons, God remains in control and faithful to bring hope, restoration, and a future.

    God Condemns Judah’s Corrupt Leaders | Day 223 Aug 11, 2025
    Show notes

    Day 223 | Jeremiah 49:1-33; 2 Kings 24:5-7; 2 Chronicles 36:6-8; 2 Kings 24:8-9; 2 Chronicles 36:9; Jeremiah 22:24–23:32

God confronts the corruption of Judah’s kings and spiritual leaders, declaring judgment on those who scatter His people instead of shepherding them. Yet amid this strong rebuke, God offers hope through a promise: the coming of a righteous King from David’s line—Jesus, the Messiah. As false prophets deceive and the people harden their hearts, God reminds us that His word is powerful—like fire and a hammer—and calls every individual to reflect, repent, and return to Him.

    Rekabite Example Exposes Judah’s Rebellion | Day 222 Aug 10, 2025
    Show notes

    Day 222 | Jeremiah 16:1–18:23; Jeremiah 35:1-19

God calls attention to the unwavering obedience of the Rekabites—nomadic descendants who faithfully uphold the commands of their ancestor, even generations later. Through them, God delivers a sobering message to Judah, whose repeated disobedience and spiritual neglect stand in stark contrast. This chapter reminds us that God is not after rule-keeping for its own sake, but faithful hearts that listen and obey. Even the simplest command matters when it comes from the Lord.

Yet Judah stubbornly ignores God's voice, choosing arrogance and self-reliance instead. Jeremiah emphasizes that true wisdom, power, and riches belong solely to the Lord. Facing certain death, Daniel responds by urgently seeking God’s wisdom. In His faithfulness, God reveals the king’s dream to Daniel, who humbly gives all glory back to Him. Through Daniel’s unwavering trust, we see that true wisdom comes only from God, who sovereignly orchestrates events beyond our understanding to accomplish His purposes.

Jehoiakim Shows No Fear and Rejects God’s Warning | Day 217 Aug 05, 2025
    Show notes

    Day 217 | Jeremiah 25:15-38; Jeremiah 36:1-32; Jeremiah 45:1–46:28

In Jeremiah 36, God tells the prophet to write down every message of warning from the reign of Josiah to the present, hoping His people will repent and receive mercy. Instead, King Jehoiakim hears the scroll read aloud—and burns it, piece by piece. But God’s word cannot be silenced. He commands Jeremiah to rewrite the scroll and adds even more judgment. This episode reveals God’s heart to forgive, His patience toward rebellion, and the unstoppable endurance of His word. Even when leaders reject Him, God’s word stands forever—and it’s still calling people to repentance today.

God Declares 70 Years of Captivity in Babylon | Day 216 Aug 04, 2025
    Show notes

    Day 212 | 2 Chronicles 36:1-4; 2 Kings 23:31-37; 2 Chronicles 36:5; Jeremiah 22:1-23; Jeremiah 26:1-24; 2 Kings 24:1-4; Jeremiah 25:1-14

In today’s reading, we witness the unraveling of Judah as King Jehoiakim rejects God’s word through Jeremiah. Despite repeated warnings, Jehoiakim's rebellion leads to personal anguish, a crumbling palace, and national ruin. God declares that Babylon will conquer the land, and His judgment is certain. Meanwhile, Jeremiah—though faithful—is nearly killed for speaking the truth. It’s only the bold intervention of wise elders that saves his life. This episode is a sobering reminder: resisting God leads to ruin, but speaking truth—no matter the cost—can change the course for others. Will we be the ones to stand up and speak out?
