    Episode 165 - Dave Hawkins Oct 31, 2008
    Show notes

Dave Hawkins joined me with his lovely wife Cheryl for an evening of stories and music. Dave is a teacher up in Lake Bluff. Most certainly a child of the Sixties/Seventies. His music runs the gamut from up and dancing to emotional stories that make you think. \n"Hawkman" is that wonderful mix of a person that teaches our children with words and teaches us through his music.\nTeach your Children well...\nAlso check out his myspace site for further info...\nMost importantly, if you like his music, go out and buy it. Give the money directly to the artist....\nHereand#39;s some pics from the show. \n\n

    Show notes

Mike Lopez and his lovely wife Susan joined me one afternoon on their way to the East Coast part of Mikeand#39;s U.S. tour.\nMikeand#39;s music is infused with stories of the California Central Coastand#39;s indigenous people. Part native American, Chumash of the Kalawashaq Village, he embraces the multicultural aspects of his deep roots. His multifaceted background is clearly reflected in his songwriting. Mike has created a wonderful way of telling stories through his original songs. An original sound of true Americana with a dash of red hot chili! \n Mikeand#39;s songs will inspire and teach through the joy of his lyrics. We recorded well over an hour of music and stories and culled it down to just under one hour.\nCheck out Mikeand#39;s myspace page to see where and when you can see him live. CAU is talking with him about doing a live Chicago performance with the CAU house band backing him up. Look for this in early 2009.\nHereand#39;s some pics from the show. \n\n

    Episode 161 - Common Shiner Oct 16, 2008
    Show notes

Common Shiner came to Chicago from Grand Rapids, Michigan and their loss is most definately our gain! \nMorgan and the boys are one of the most polished and professional bands we have had on the show. Oh yes, and they are crazy fun at the same time...\nTheir music defies comparison. Beautiful harmonies combine with flowing inspiring lyrics to take the listener on a journey love and understanding. From the very first song, "The Cynicand#39;s Prayer" they hook you and youand#39;re in for the duration.\nBe sure to check out their website for their future show dates. Also, you can catch them most times up at The Red Line Tap on Open-Mic Thursdays. You can buy their music on iTunes or CD-Baby and others, but please buy their music to show support for their sacrifices to live this life. Trust me, itand#39;s not easy... \nHereand#39;s some pics from the show. \n\n

Nature Devil is Brian Lambrecht who also plays bass for my Co-Host John Michaels band. This was a riot of a show driven by the Nature Devil himself, Brian. John and I had such fun sitting back and egging Brian on.\nYou can see Nature Devil live on October 11 and 12 in Princeton, IL at the Civil War - Shadows of the Blue and Grey.\nHereand#39;s some pics from the show. \n\n

    Episode 157 - Phistine Verona Oct 02, 2008
    Show notes

Phistine Verona (warning: explicit language) That said, these guys rocked the house and we obviously had one hell of a time. \nThey are sort of a cross between straight ahead rock laced with a whole bunch of punk. I highly recommend catching this band live. They were dancing all over the studio and so were the Wizard and I....\nHereand#39;s some pics from the show. \n\n
