Chelsea FanCast Preview Show #923 Aug 26, 2022
    Show notes

Stamford Chidge and Jonathan Kydd are joined by Tony Glover and Liam Twomey from The Athletic to look ahead to this weekends match against Leicester.

In part one, Chidge, JK, Tony and Liam discuss Friday's press conference with Thomas Tuchel including Tuchel's thoughts on his touchline ban; how to deal with Kante being out for 4 weeks and the suspension of Koulibaly; plus positive news that Kovacic will be available after injury for 20 mins. With the current injuries does Liam expect any new arrivals and departures as we enter the last few days of the transfer window? Plus we have a look at the Champions' League and Carabao Cup draws.

In part two we preview the Chelsea v Leicester match and look at Chidge's Team selection. Who replaces Koulibaly? Will Gallagher start in midfield again? Meanwhile at Leicester Brendan Rogers is in trouble with no signings and Leicester are the only Premier League team without a win this season! James Maddison is a doubt and Fofana, wanted by Chelsea, is on the naughty step. But does Chelsea’s poor home form; poor defensive form and poor recent form at home v Leicester mean we should be more cautious than usual? All will be revealed as we discuss how we see it going and give our score predictions.

We wrap up with the Prem Predictions League movers and shakers from week 3 and announce the return of the Kerry Dixon banner in the Matthew Harding stand for saturday's match against Leicester.

Chelsea FanCast Preview Show #921 Aug 19, 2022
    Show notes

Stamford Chidge and Jonathan Kydd are joined by Mark Meehan and Adam Newson, Chief Chelsea Correspondent for Football.London to look ahead to this weekends match against Leeds United.

In part one, Chidge, JK, Martin and Adam discuss Friday's press conference with Thomas Tuchel. With Kante out for weeks; Broja days; Kovacic still out and Pulisic a doubt, are Chelsea facing an injury crisis already? Should we be worried about Kante’s future…again? Does this prove the need for squad depth and quality? Talking of which Chelsea have signed Casadei from inter Milan; but what about Gordon, Fofana, FDJ and Aubameyang?

Like us, Thomas Tuchel is not impressed with Mike Dean’s apology and turning to the match against Leeds this Sunday Tuchel is expecting a high-intensity game, a high-pressing team from Leeds and a very emotional stadium. Is Adam?

In part two we preview the Leeds United v Chelsea and look at Chidge's Team selection. Will Conor Gallagher get the nod over Loftus-Cheek in Kante's absence?Leeds have injuries to Ayling, Bogusz, Dallas, Firpo & Bamford, Cooper, Gelhardt doubtful as well as losing Raphina and Philips in the transfer window so will this make life easier for Chelsea at a ground where they have never won back-to-back matches?

Tuchel alluded to Leeds press causing mistakes and chaos; is this a worry for us? And it's remarkable to face two of our oldest rivals in our second and third matches of the season, we explain the rivalry with 'Dirty' Leeds and Chidge and JK whip the whippetts out and it all goes a bit Yorkshire parody!

We wrap up by discussing how we see it going and give our score predictions.
