    'Sarricide? Chelsea FanCast #447 Jan 21, 2019
    Show notes

Stamford Chidge is joined by Jonathan Kydd, Tony Glover and Liam Twomey to look back at a miserable defeat to Arsenal and Sarri's post match outburst.

On the show tonight we look back at a sour defeat to Arsenal which revealed the same old weaknesses in the players and Sarri’s tactics.

In part two we ask whether Sarri’s public criticism of the players will end in his departure. Should he take some of the responsibility? Is it all down to

    the players?

In part three we continue the discussion and ask is it a question of square pegs and round holes and whose fault it that? Will Higuain solve all of the problems or are they deeper than that. How important is Thursday’s match against Spurs to Sarri’s future and is Champions’ League football next season now in jeopardy after defeat to Arsenal.

Finally, Jonathan has a couple of emails to read out and I wrap up with the usual Parish notices including a quick plug for the Hyundai for the Extra Mile competition which gives UK supporters a chance to win match tickets and merch. To enter, just share how you have gone the Extra Mile following Chelsea on their blog page – the link can be found on our Twitter and Facebook pages.

We pay tribute to Petr Cech who announced that he'll be retiring at the end of the season and ask is he Chelsea's and the Premier Leagues greatest ever 'keeper?

We take a quick look ahead to the Carabao Cup semi-final second leg against Spurs and in the 'Opposition View' we talk to Harry Symeou from 'The Chronicles of a Gooner' and preview the Arsenal v Chelsea match.

To wrap up we answer this week's Quiz on which players played for both Chelsea and Arsenal, before giving our predictions for the Arsenal v Chelsea match. Plus, of course your calls to the show.

    'False Logic' - Chelsea FanCast #446 Jan 14, 2019
    Show notes

Join Stamford Chidge, Jonathan Kydd and Dan Silver to look back at the 2-1 win against Newcastle on Saturday and at last weeks Carabao Cup semi-final 1st leg against Spurs.

On the show tonight we ask is playing Hazard in the False 9 really false logic and is Sarri making some sort of a statement to the club by doing so?

In part two we marvel at the marvelous N’Golo Kante who is increasingly adapting to his new role. The other 9 players would do well to follow his example. What’s happened to Jorginho whose early season form seems to have deserted him. And thanks to our mate Stewart Harrington we’ll discuss whether we go to football to see Chelsea win or be entertained. Oh and we’ll have a quick recap of the Carabao Cup semi with Spurs.

In part three we announce the first winner of the Hyundai Extra Mile competition, Adam Walczak or Valky to his mates. I spoke to him yesterday and talked about his experiences following Chelsea since the 1980’s – the interview is well worth a listen. Massive thanks to Hyundai for the Extra Mile competition which gives UK supporters a chance to win match tickets and merch. To enter, just share how you have gone the Extra Mile following Chelsea on their blog page – the link can be found on our Twitter and Facebook pages.

Finally, Jonathan has some emails to read out and I wrap up with the usual Parish notices.

Chelsea FanCast on Love Sport Radio - the only 100% Chelsea show on the radio! Jonathan Kydd and Clayton Beerman join Aaron Paul to look back at Chelsea's Carabao Cup defeat to Spurs and the FA Cup win against Nottingham Forest and look forward to this weekend's Premier League match against Newcastle.

Liam Twomey, Chelsea correspondent for ESPN joins us by phone to report on Friday's Press Conference with Maurizio Sarri and discusses the latest transfer window rumours.

Chelsea's performance against Spurs in the first leg of the Carabao Cup Semi was much improved but the lack of an effective striker hampered us yet again. But was Kane offside and is VAR questionable? How is the tie poised; can we overturn the 1-0?

Hudson-Odoi impressed in Chelsea's 2-0 victory against Nottingham Forest in the FA Cup 3rd round tie. Morata scores 2 goals but he’s not happy and we said farewell to Fabregas.

Looking at the Transfer Window we have so many questions but few answers; is Hudson-Odoi off? Is Morata off? Is Willian off? Why is Batshuayi returning? Are we signing Higuain, Icardi, or Wilson??? And what about Barello or Paredes? More to the point what do we really need and will we get it. Will/can the Board deliver and is there an issue between Marina & Sarri?

Looking ahead to Chelsea v Newcastle given our poor goal scoring form will this be tough match? Will they aim to kick Hazard out of the match and do we still hate Rafa.

In this week's 'Opposition View' we have former Newcastle player, Mick Martin, joining us on the phone. We discuss with Newcastle unlucky in August, will Rafa park the bus & hope to mug Chelsea? With Newcastle flirting with relegation again, will they survive? Are Rondon & Perez the main threat to Chelsea? How is the Ashley v Rafa saga panning out – will Rafa stay; will Ashley sell?

To wrap up we answer this week's Quiz on which players played for both Chelsea and Newcastle, before giving our predictions for the Chelsea v Newcastle match. Plus, of course your calls to the show.

    Show notes

Stamford Chidge is joined by Jonathan Kydd and Dan Silver to look back at Chelsea's 2-0 FA Cup 3rd round win against Nottingham Forest and discuss transfers, injuries and the Carabao Cup semi-final against Spurs.

On the show tonight we’ll be assessing Callum Hudson-Odoi’s performance on asking should he stay or should he go?

In part two we say adios Fabregas and thanks for the memories; ask Morata to smile like he means it; sympathise with injury struck Loftus-Cheek and ask who do we want in the Cup next?

In part three we look at the current transfer rumours and ask do we need a replacement for Fabregas and Morata? We also look at the current list of injuries and preview the Carabao Cup semi-final first leg against Spurs on Tuesday.

Finally, Jonathan has plenty of New Year emails to read out including an homage to JT; the Americanization of Chelsea, or not and a review of Sarriball.

We discuss is Sarriball failing to deliver? Do we have an injury crisis? Will Sarri get the support he needs and should we be worried about making the top 4?

Looking at the Transfer Window we discuss the signing of Pulisic, Bayern Munich trying to sign Hudson-Odoi plus Cahill moving to Fulham and Fabregas to Monaco

Chelsea loves the FA Cup and we ask is this special weekend still relevant? Is 'The Magic of the Cup' still alive and kicking? What is the likely team selection for Chelsea v Nottingham Forest and will it be Fabregas' last stand or will Sarri play the youth?

Baz Cooper from the Nottingham Post joins us for 'The Opposition View' and we discuss: How close to PL football are Forest? Despite beating Leeds last week how close is Karanka to the sack? Which Forest players are the main threat and will Forest take it seriously?

Held at the Classic Football Shirts shop in the Old Truman Brewery in Brick Lane, Stamford Chidge, Jonathan Kydd, Dan Silver and Clayton Beerman joined Brandon Busbee, Nick Verlaney, Dan Dormer and Mike aka @RainierBlues to discuss, appropriately enough, Chelsea shirts past and present.

The boys talked about the history of Chelsea’s kit and discuss some that are still fresh as the year they were crafted and others that were stale from day one in the design room.

What was everyone’s favorite kit? What is the worst Chelsea kit of all time? What’s your dream kit scenario? All was revealed!

Chelsea FanCast on Love Sport Radio - the only 100% Chelsea show on the radio! Stamford Chidge, Dan Silver and Jonathan Kydd join Aaron Paul to look back at the Carabao cup match against Bournemouth and the Premier League win against Brighton & Hove Albion and look forward to Chelsea v Leicester match.

In a pulsating Carabao Cup quarter-final against Bournemouth, Ruben Loftus-Cheek continued his improvement with a Man of the Match performance while Eden Hazard came to the rescue once again. And while Chelsea lacked a cutting edge, did Callum Wilson fail his audition?

With Chelsea reaching their 34th semi final since 1994 and with Sarri taking the Carabao Cup seriously is a semi-final revenge v Spurs in the air?

In the win against Brighton, Hazard again proved how indispensable & vital he is for Chelsea but will he be kicked out of the PL? Will Sarri keep the False 9 and what’s the future for Giroud and Morata? Are replacements such as Isco, Icardi, Wilson on their way??

As the year draws to a close we look back at some of the best and worst moments for Chelsea this year and discuss our hopes for 2019.

Leicester are Chelsea's next opponents and have a solid defence conceding over 2 goals only twice this season while Vardy always poses a threat up front. Will their counter attacks and balls over the top cause problems for Chelsea and will Sarri make changes?

Former Leicester Captain, Steve Walsh, joins us for the 'Opposition View' and we ask him if 12th in the league is disappointing or is it where he expects Leicester to be? Are the fans happy with Claude Puel? How is the club & fans recovering from tragedy of the owner’s death?

We discuss where ‘And Leicester comes from in the "We all follow the Chelsea" song and answer this week's Quiz on which players played for both Chelsea and Leicester, before giving our predictions for the Chelsea v Leicester match. Plus, of course your calls to the show.
