Summer House S8 Reunion Pt2 Jun 15, 2024

Can you believe it everyone?!? Season 8 of Summer House is OVER (much like Carl and Lindsey) and it’s been a good one!
As expected, the main bulk of the episode is a lot of arguments and semantics between Carl and Lindsey (you said this! I didn’t say that, I said this! That’s the same thing! Rinse and repeat) and really the only conclusion to reach is - they are both terrible in their own special way and were so glad they didn’t get married. Andy also gets involved because how dare anyone suggest the cast might have some say on when cameras get picked back up? Our main source of shouty indignation, however, is Kyle and his support, or lack thereof, of Amanda…

We continue to battle valiantly through Vanderpump Rules S11 which really isn’t as fun as we (or the producers, we imagine) thought it would be. Tom Sandoval is continuing to ensure that we know he is the real victim here, Schwartz is doing exactly what Ariana was afraid of and bridging the gap for Sandoval to come back into the group and James is having a pool party. Elsewhere, Lisa is trying to convince Scheana and Lala to go easy on Sandoval and Ariana is definitely not feeling it.
We do, however, get a heartwarming dog based ending so that’s nice.

Southern Charm S9, E14, Playing House Dec 23, 2023

In what we think is the penultimate episode of season 9, we experience the ultimate dinner-time altercation between Taylor, Olivia, Austen, JT, Madison, and Shep --basically the entire cast. Even Whitney joins the vacation for a hot second to get in on this absolute brawl of a meal. Thank goodness we all make it out of Jamaica alive, even if the nail might actually be in the coffin for Taylor and Olivia's friendship. At least we get to round out the episode with a lovely citrus-y dinner party with blossoming besties, Paige and Madison, and their doting men. The lingering question remains-- will Craig and Paige ever end up in the same city, and can their relationship survive the long distance? Only time will tell!

The Southern Charm crew is continuing to wreak havoc on the island of Jamaica, this time bringing their drama and their webs-of-lies to various waterfalls and local eateries. The very chaste, innocent Austen and Taylor sleepover has now reached National News level, and the group must contend with the Page Six article heard round the world whilst trying to enjoy blue holes and a variety of lobster appetizers. In true Southern Charm fashion, Madison makes amazing judgey faces, she and Craig team-up to call Taylor/Austen out on their BS, and Shep concludes the evening in a drunken, rage-monster tantrum. And in true "Charmed, I'm Sure" fashion, we sing at least three off-key numbers for y'all, and attempt to find as many trans-Atlantic ways that we possibly can to describe the words "drunk" and "hookup". The backwards hat boys have an uncomfortable conversation as non-dramatic Rod (who we have decided we like) tells Austen that he has gone on a date with Olivia. All this, plus the usual British lessons that Kathryn has to give Yvette for basic communication purposes! This season is off to a great start and we are having so much fun over-analyzing every moment.

We’re finally getting into Southern Charm S7 and (as a shock to no one) we’re beginning at the start with S7, E1 - The Good Shephard. As the title suggests, we’ve got Shep, but is he being good…? Erm, no, he’s not. He may have an adorable new girlfriend that he likes to call "Honey Bunches of Oats" (apparently not a cereal that exists in the UK), but a perfect man he is not. Also, is the drama finally over between Madison and Shep? Definitely not.
We chat about the latest developments with Kathryn (Dennis) and her drama with Cam, we hear Kathryn (not Dennis) try to perfect her T-Rav impersonation, and we agree that we are both thoroughly enjoying Craig and Austen's new domestic partnership.
Also, hear Yvette and Kathryn talk about the American vs. British differences regarding the use of Lysol during COVID, the importance of air conditioning, the joy that is peanut butter and jelly, and "the higher the hair, the closer to God" (or not). So much to talk about, so little time!
