Our Blood, Sweat and Tears CDST Show Jun 28, 2022

we discuss the Avs are learning (maybe the hard way), there's no underestimating the heart of a champion. When it comes to dethroning champions, we'll look at how it can, and can't be done.
Co-host Abe Miranda joins us wearing a Spanish national soccer team jersey so we have to talk a little World Cup then Co-host Dorothy calls in from Phoenix and tells us about watching Javier Baez live hit a grand slam Friday night against the Diamond Backs then holds up her Tigers "D" and a thick chain she uses to cheer her Detroit Tigers on. ChabDog gets roasted for his Boston Red Sox wearing their "Yellow Peril" uniforms.
Since Dorothy's calling in from Arizona we discuss, under "fair use", the old movie "The Petrified Forest" and Well Read describes how wood turned to stone. Some baseball talk on the freebees available from fast food joints when the home team wins. Co-host Blixx missed the show - just as well as we roast the Avs for loosing game 5. On the topic of loosing, we go back to 1993 and listen to Charles Barclay's broken heart, Rudy T on winning a championship from the 6th seed and down 3 games with the Houston Rockets.
ChabDog and Dorothy debate what's better to help you sleep - booze or collagen before bed and then Peter Puck from 1973 reminds us of the hockey rules of how off sides and icing works. Then, under fair use, we play the dinner scene from the movie Giant (made in 1956) where segregation was the law of the land (Separate but equal established by the Supreme Court and struck down by the Supreme Court 60 years later) and Rock Hudson defends the dignity of a family that's being refused service because of the color of their skin. How far we've come!
We also discuss spots like Bob's Big Boy, HoJo's, and Cracker Barrel, we take a commercial break with Dog Chow, the Boz, the Marlboro Man and more, we cover NASCAR, Indy and F-1 on ChabDog Racing, we talk about the history of the Presbyterian Church, the Green Bay Packers and Vince Lombardi with co-host Dorothy's father Bob, bloodhounds track down an escaped inmate, Abe gives us an update on our upcoming ChabDog product store and his trip to NYC to visit Frank the Tank, smash and grab comes to the blue bloods in Manhattan Beach, CA and Miles Guo helps us take down the CCP!

Get yourself ready for Sunday and stay in full compliance with our "Whoa, Daddy" CDST show. Could be we're coming up on another fantastic Father's Day finish at the US Open, and to get you in the mood, it's time to roll tape from some memorable battles, including Jack coming back at Baltusrol, Raymond Floyd shining at Shinnecock, Norman and Fuzzy waiving the white flag in 1984 and Hale Irwin's downing of Donald six years later.
Of course, there'll also the NBA Finals to discuss, with the settling for 2nd Celtics buckling under the weight of some spicy Curry and dirty Poole.
We've also got an infusion of MLB, persistent Blixx wearing out his Av's affection (right on his sleeve ... is that a new tattoo?), and the always exciting racing update with Mr. Miranda.
And as for our clips of classic short putt misses (at the worst possible times), there isn't one among us who does have the True Grit to exclaim, "That reminds me of me".

Plus an update on the NBA final, NHL Stanley Cup, the Angeles ending the skid at 14 in MLB, and we pick the NASCAR winner for the second week in ChabDog Racing at the start of the second hour

We're into June, and it's high time for CDST's "It's the end of the world as we know it" Show.
All hell has indeed broken out, what with the Splash Boys getting punked and dunked at home in Game 1, the invincible Lightning falling behind 0-2 to the Rangers after getting poisoned at MSG .... and the lowly Pirates actually sweeping the Dodgers in LA (I know, who cares about baseball, but it hasn't happened since 2000).
But hey, at ChabDog Sports, we still feel fine, and so should you. All this shows is nothing ever stays the same, and if you really want to come out on top, you'd better get ready for a bare knuckles brawl, ala Charles Bronson in Hard Time. Because life is hard, and all is not well, if you don't go in with guns blazing. And that's definitely advice that Downplay Dray should take to heart.... whether or not he's hitting his bunnies.

On Memorial Weekend Saturday, we've got a smokin hot show for you on ChabDog Sports Talk, paying tribute where tribute is due in the "Whole Lotta Liotta" Show. Don't even try to shut us out Ray! Just got too much going on, with Game 7 of the Eastern Conference Finals looming, TB quietly imposing its will on Lord Stanley, the Warriors playing shuffleboard on the decks of the Love Boat, and Edmonton just waiting for a chance to squeeze the life out of fragile Colorado. In hour two, we'll have a special preview of the Indy 500 with Mr. Miranda, and a special in studio guest (who apparently hails from the motor city ... how timely).
