    Topic: Suffering

    Notes:

    - What impact has your reaction to your problems had on others?- God used people in trouble to write His word: Paul wrote as a prisoner chained to a praetorian guard- If it doesn’t come out of pain, it doesn’t produce- We all have trouble in our lives; somebody else’s pain is bigger- God’s plan is to bring Jesus into glory, that we follow Him, and that the gospel be increased- Statistics of Paul’s opportunities to minister to guards- American Christians are not suffering as those in other nations- People are looking for an example of the believer- Joseph... why am I going through this?- Do I believe what He said? Do I act like I believe?- What will I do in these chains?- We would rather be delivered from than developed in this- Moab at ease, settled on his dregs (not poured from vessel to vessel)- We want to be left alone but need to poured out again and again until nothing is left but wine- Paul & Silas praised the Lord anyway; there are prisoners all around... the greatest impact you’ll have is when you lift Him up

    - Satan has a plan to destroy you; God’s plan trumps Satan’s for those who trust in Jesus- God doesn’t give up on people as quick as we do- This old house: He bought me and is fixing me up- God is revealing to us by His spirit His work of salvation for us- His grace is greater than all your weaknesses and sins- You get out of a deep dark place by remember what He has done- Constant cycle: get as low as you can get, God never gives up- When we’re overwhelmed, in a storm, we either looking at people, ourselves, or the circumstance. Look at Jesus.

    Scripture: II Thessalonians 2:5-12

    Topic: End Times

    Notes:

    - Satan is using his seductive power on the minds of people- There is no such thing as moderate Christianity- We should have a deathbed sincerity about the way we live- The Bible should be our guide and strength- Glen Beck’s actions will win many converts to the Mormon church- You cannot mix the kingdom of heaven with this world- Must love the Lord and hate what He hates, love what He loves- The antichrist is coming and people will worship him- The spirit of lawlessness is already at work- The Holy Spirit will never leave this world but the body of Christ will; we are restraining the antichrist until we leave- People tell us how good we are, that we can live any way and God understands... the misconception of grace.- Study the Bible- People are addicted to signs and wonders- There is room at the cross for you; we need to lay our lives down for the Lord the way He laid His down for us.

    Notes:

    - Warning of deception concerning the way we live and leadership- Know the scriptures- With multiple leaders & teachers, you will be confused and uncertain- Glen Beck (Mormon) calling people back to God & Country- People are apt to be deceived if they care more about restoring the country than about knowing God deeper and fuller- You cannot continue in sin and inherit the kingdom of God- Sometimes we think we are wheat when we are tares- It is possible to think you are saved but not be- When you are saved, you know it.- The deception of sin... gradually we move into it, get used to it, then become okay with it.

    Notes:

    - Don’t Quickly React (Pastor Livingston)- When we quickly react we are more likely to be deceived- We react to everything we hear; we stay agitated- The world doesn’t know where it’s going because the scene is being set for the antichrist- Disheartened by overheard conversations... rally for renewal of God & country (which god?)... Glen Beck- Q&A
