    101205-0830-Loran Livingston - A Journey Through Christmas: The Conception Dec 06, 2010
    Show notes

2010-12-05-0830 Pastor Loran Livingston is the speaker this morning December 5th, 2010 in the 8:30 service.

    Scripture: Luke 1:5-64

    Topic: Faith

    Notes:

    - Because of God’s love, Jesus came to save unlovable, lost people- Luke set out to write all he had heard into an organized presentation- Gabriel appeared to Zacharias to tell of John’s conception, an answer to his prayers, and that John would be filled with the Spirit- God doesn’t do anything the way you think He will, but He already has it planned out- Zacharias doubted and so was made mute; doubt and be silenced- Gabriel appeared to Mary who responded “according to your word”- Mary went to Elizabeth and John leapt in her womb; he and Elizabeth filled with the Holy Spirit- There is no set pattern; don’t put God in a box- Obey truth, walk in love, trust God and you’ll be filled w/ the Spirit- Trust God and there will be a song in your heart

    Show notes

2010-11-28-1800 Pastor Loran Livingston is the speaker this evening November 28th, 2010 in the 6:00 service.

    Scripture: Matthew 5:9, 24; 6:14-15; Romans 14:19

    Topic: Forgiveness

    Notes:

    - When we’re tired we become sensitive, protective, read into situations, make rash decisions, develop bad feelings towards people- The devil is looking for a way into a situation- The holiday season wears people out- The kingdom of God is about relationships- My attitude towards a fellow believer is my attitude towards Jesus...- Prayers fall to the ground when we don’t reconcile- Pursue the things that make for peace- Forgive others and you will be forgiven (by God)- Don’t live in sensitivity- The devil loves a divided church; there is power in unity

    Show notes

2010-11-28-0830 Pastor Loran Livingston is the speaker this morning November 28th, 2010 in the 8:30 service.

    Scripture: I Thessalonians 5:23-28

    Topic: Peace

    Notes:

    - When I’m living a sanctified life I am a peaceful person- The peace of God preserves; when I renew my friendship with the world the peace of God diminishes in my life- As canning preserves... the peace of God seals us from the outside- Where He’s taking me is better than where I am; don’t be settled- God will disturb and stir you up for the sake of preserving you- I’ve not allowed God to preserve me body, soul and spirit so the peace leaves me; Let the world lose its attraction to me- Being angry towards or resenting someone is a defeat, hindering prayers, worship... forgive as He forgives- I should act/react differently than world; my only attraction Jesus- When I lay it at His feet I am full: not upset, confused, agitated...- Humbleness-spiritual state when you see God at work- Do we trust God? Then why am I complaining, blaming, angry?
