    Celeste The Therapist

Shifting the way you think starts here.

Celeste the Therapist is a mental health and emotional wellness podcast created to support you in real, everyday life — not just when you’re in crisis, but as a daily practice of awareness, regulation, and intentional living.

Hosted by licensed mental health counselor Celeste Viciere, LMHC, the podcast offers grounded conversations and therapeutic insights to help you better understand yourself, your patterns, and your emotional world.

    The Daily Shift

At the heart of the podcast is The Daily Shift — a short, daily ritual designed to help you pause, regulate, and reconnect with yourself, even on your busiest days. Each episode offers one simple perspective to support emotional awareness, nervous system regulation, and small shifts that create lasting change.

You don’t need to listen perfectly.
You don’t need to listen every day.
The ritual is here when you need a moment to come back to yourself.

    Long-Form Episodes

In addition to The Daily Shift, the podcast features longer conversations exploring mental health, relationships, childhood experiences, emotional growth, and healing — all through an accessible, therapist-led lens.

This podcast is not about quick fixes or surface-level advice.
It’s about creating space, building insight, and learning how to meet yourself with honesty and compassion.

If you’re looking for a podcast that feels supportive, grounding, and human — you’re in the right place.

Daily Shift 193: Identity outside of what you do for other people Sep 01, 2026
    Show notes

So much of how we define ourselves is wrapped up in what we do for the people around us. The helping, the giving, the showing up, the taking care of. And while those things are beautiful — they are not an identity. In today's episode Celeste challenges you to find yourself outside of your usefulness to others. Because who you are is not determined by what you do for people. And if it is — that's not identity. That's a job description.

If you struggle to describe yourself outside of your relationships and responsibilities, this one is going to challenge you in the best possible way.

Today's shift: Describe yourself today using only things that have nothing to do with what you do for other people.

Daily Shift 192: You've been so busy becoming what everyone needed — who did you want to be Aug 27, 2026
    Show notes

Most people can tell you exactly what everyone around them needs. What their partner needs. What their kids need. What their boss needs. What their parents need. What their friends need. But ask them what they need — who they wanted to become before life started handing them roles and responsibilities — and they go quiet. In today's episode Celeste asks the question most people have been too busy to sit with. Who did you actually want to be?

If you've been living your life in response to everyone else's needs and have lost track of your own, this one is going to stop you in your tracks.

Today's shift: Finish this sentence honestly — before life got complicated I always wanted to

EP 547 Why You're Still Waiting for Permission to Move On Aug 25, 2026
    Show notes

You're not confused. You're not indecisive. You actually know exactly what you need to do — but you still can't make yourself do it.

In this episode, Celeste breaks down why so many of us are waiting for permission that was never going to come. And why that waiting isn't a character flaw — it's something that was conditioned in us long before we were old enough to recognize it.

If you've ever found yourself waiting for closure, waiting for an apology, or waiting for someone to tell you it's okay to move — this episode is for you.

    In this episode you'll learn:

    • Why this isn't about indecision — it's about autonomy
    • How growing up without autonomy follows you into adulthood
    • Why the permission you're waiting for isn't coming
    • What it actually looks like to give yourself permission to move

This episode is for you if:

    • You know what you need to do but can't make yourself do it
    • You're waiting for closure that never comes
    • You grew up in an environment where your decisions had to be approved
    • You're ready to stop outsourcing your own knowing to other people

Reflection Question: What is one decision you already know the answer to — and what would it look like to give yourself permission to act on it today?

Daily Shift 191: The version of you that survived is not the whole you Aug 20, 2026
    Show notes

Survival mode does something to a person. It narrows you. It focuses you entirely on getting through — on managing, coping, functioning — and it puts everything else on hold. The joy, the curiosity, the creativity, the parts of you that aren't useful for surviving. In today's episode Celeste talks about the difference between the version of you that learned to survive and the whole version of you that is still waiting to be fully expressed.

If you've been in survival mode for so long that it feels like personality, this one is going to open something up.

Today's shift: Identify one part of yourself that survival mode put on hold — and give it a moment of attention today.

Daily Shift 190: You are not your role Aug 18, 2026
    Show notes

Parent. Partner. Employee. Caregiver. The strong one. The reliable one. The one who holds it all together. Most of us have been living inside our roles for so long that we've started to mistake them for our identity. In today's episode Celeste draws a clear line between the roles you play and who you actually are — and explains why knowing the difference is one of the most liberating realizations a person can have.

If you've ever felt lost when a role was taken away — when the kids grew up, the relationship ended, the job changed — this one will explain why and show you the way back to yourself.

Today's shift: Name one role you've been living inside — and ask yourself honestly, who am I outside of this?

Daily Shift 189: Who are you when you stop performing Aug 13, 2026
    Show notes

For the last several weeks the Daily Shift has taken you through burnout, grief, anxiety, people pleasing, and self worth. And all of that work has been leading here — to the most fundamental question underneath all of it. Who are you when you stop performing? Not the version of you that shows up for everyone else. Not the role. Not the mask. Not the survival strategy. You. In today's episode Celeste opens up the identity series with the question most people are afraid to sit with — because they're not sure they know the answer anymore.

If you've spent so long being what everyone needed that you've lost track of who you actually are, this one is where we start finding our way back.

Today's shift: Sit with this question today — who am I when nobody needs anything from me?

EP 546 Why You're Hard on Yourself for Things You'd Never Judge Anyone Else For Aug 11, 2026
    Show notes

You'd never speak to your best friend the way you speak to yourself. You'd never hold them to the standard you hold yourself to. So why is it so easy to extend grace to everyone around you and so hard to give any to yourself?

In this episode Celeste breaks down where the inner critic comes from, what chronic self criticism actually does to your nervous system, and why the compassion gap between how you treat others and how you treat yourself is one of the most important things to close on your healing journey.

This one is going to hit. Come ready.

    Topics covered:

    • Where the harsh inner critic originates
    • The difference between shame and guilt — and why it matters
    • What self criticism does to your body and nervous system
    • The compassion gap and how to start closing it
    • Practical ways to begin talking to yourself differently

Daily Shift 188: You were enough before anyone told you that you were

This is the episode the entire self worth series has been building toward. Because after everything — understanding where the not enough belief came from, dismantling the conditions you placed on your own worth, seeing what low self worth has cost you in your relationships and your life — it all comes down to this. You were enough before anyone confirmed it. Before anyone validated it. Before anyone saw it. You always were. And this episode is about finally letting that land.

If you've been waiting for someone to tell you that you're enough — this is Celeste telling you. And more importantly, this is you finally starting to believe it for yourself.

Today's shift: Say it out loud today — just once, just to yourself — I was always enough. And let yourself mean it.

Daily Shift 187: How to start treating yourself like someone who matters Aug 04, 2026
    Show notes

Most people in the Shift Community are incredibly good at taking care of everyone around them. The problem is they rarely extend that same care to themselves. In today's episode, Celeste gets practical — what does it actually look like to treat yourself like someone who matters? Not as a concept. Not as an affirmation. As a daily, concrete, lived practice that changes how you move through your life.

If you know you should take better care of yourself but don't know what that actually looks like in real life, this one will show you.

Today's shift: Do one thing today that you would do for someone you love deeply — and do it for yourself instead.

Daily Shift 186: Worthy people don't beg for basic respect Jul 30, 2026
    Show notes

There is a pattern that shows up again and again in low self worth — the pattern of over explaining, over justifying, and working overtime to convince people to treat you with basic decency. In today's episode, Celeste names it directly. Worthy people don't beg for respect. They don't audition for it. They don't negotiate for it. They simply expect it — and move accordingly when it isn't there.

If you've been working too hard to earn treatment you should have been receiving freely, this one is going to land hard.

Today's shift: Identify one place in your life where you've been negotiating for basic respect — and decide today that it's no longer up for negotiation.
