New York Governor Andrew Cuomo says today, his state will begin what he calls the "most aggressive" antibody testing program in the country. A new series of arrests in Hong Kong is adding to concerns that governments are using coronavirus fears to crack down on human rights. Sanders spoke to "CBS This Morning" co-host Tony Dokoupil about his endorsement and where he expects Biden to adopt a more progressive stance.

4/16: National death toll from the coronavirus has risen sharply. Trump gets pushback for potential timeline to reopen the country. Apr 16, 2020
    Show notes

President Trump is getting pushback on his potential timeline for re-opening the country and getting people back to work. As Americans hope to get back to normal, experts say we need more widespread diagnostic testing for the coronavirus. The national death toll from the virus has risen sharply, in part because of how victims are counted. A CBS News investigation reveals the coronavirus has been especially deadly for one of America's most vulnerable populations — people in nursing homes.

He tells Dickerson the coronavirus pandemic could leave an imprint on American society and culture for years to come. Brinkley is the Katherine Tsanoff Brown Chair in Humanities and Professor of History at Rice University and his latest book is "American Moonshot: John F. Kennedy and the Great Space Race."
