477: Chad Gallagher: How To Increase The Value & Returns Of Real Estate Investments Through Property Management Jun 24, 2019

My guest in this episode is Chad Gallagher. Chad is the co-founder and co-owner of SlateHouse Group. SlateHouse was founded in 2014 and manages over 4,000 units across PA, NJ, and MD for investment owners, with over 100 employees. SlateHouse also has a brokerage division in both NJ and PA with 20 real estate agents that focus on working with investors to buy and sell real estate.

SlateHouse also owns 200 units --- a mix of single-family homes, office buildings, and multi-unit buildings. Chad raised $2M as part of the SlateHouse syndication -- used to acquire $8M in real estate.

Chad contributes to the investor community as a writer for BiggerPockets.com, the leading real estate investor website. Previous to real estate, Chad led the Advertising.com mobile network which had $100M in revenue and was acquired by Verizon as part of a larger acquisition. Chad graduated in 2006 from the University of Virginia with a degree in Systems Engineering and a minor in Business.

474: Ron Paul: Why The Current Monetary System Is Unstable Jun 17, 2019

One of my favorite episodes I have done on the show was with Dr. Ron Paul. Dr. Paul is a former Congressman, Dr Ron Paul has been a champion of liberty, helping people to start questioning the role of government, how a free society function, the imperialistic foreign military adventures over the last two decades, and what money is and what it should be by exposing the true nature of the Federal Reserve.

Some of my personal favourite moments in any politics have been watching Congressman Ron Paul grilling the Federal Reserve chairman Ben Bernanke and other banking cronies on Capitol Hill after the financial crisis.

Ron Paul, the New York Post once wrote, is a politician who "cannot be bought by special interests." "There are few people in public life who, through thick and thin, rain or shine, stick to their principles," added a congressional colleague. "Ron Paul is one of those few."

This episode is one that will be valuable for old and new listeners, Dr. Ron Paul is a life long student of money, economics and more specific the Austrian School of Economics and he provides extremely valuable insights in our discussion.
