Stay ConnectedHi, I’m Cameron Kasky. After the tragic shooting at my high school in Parkland, FL, I helped organize the March For Our Lives. I started standing up to politicians and the NRA, and got sort of weirdly famous. Chances are when you suddenly have 400k twitter followers, you’re gonna think you’re hot shit. I sure did.
But then, last summer, I realized something — I don’t know everything. Turns out, I have an awful lot to learn.
This week I'm joined by Jacob Bertrand and Xolo Maridueña of Youtube's hit show, Cobra Kai. They're both super talented young actors — you might know Jacob from Disney XD's Kirby Buckets, and Xolo was on Parenthood for a few years — and they're both pretty ripped, too. So we talk a lot about martial arts, bromance, and the magic of ADR. These guys are dope, you don't want to miss this one. Also, thanks to our sponsor and distributor, Anchor. This week I'm joined by Tara Strong, who's an amazing actor and voice actor. She was Bubbles in the Powerpuff Girls, Raven in Teen Titans and Teen Titans Go!, Twilight Sparkle in My Little Pony, the list just goes on and on. She's also very politically active on Twitter and has been really helpful to all of us at Stoneman Douglas. I know you're going to enjoy this interview.
This week we are graced by the presence of Michael Avenatti — this is an older interview that was recorded before he was arrested last week, and I'm going to talk about that and also play this interview because Avenatti has some very interesting things to say about leadership and what it takes to be a political leader in 2018 and 2020. I think you'll find it very interesting. Special thanks this week to our sponsor Anchor — go to anchor.fm/start to find out how you can start your own podcast right now.
Episode 2 is here — right here — and you should listen to my interview with Anthony Scaramucci ... remember The Mooch? Turns out he has some very interesting things to say. I think you're going to be very surprised. That's followed up with the one and only Teddy Goff. Not my best interview, I get a little too comfortable with him but I'm learning. And I promise I'll get better. And, plus, you get to hear me read my ad again. Keep listening and tell your friends. Thanks to our sponsor and distributor Anchor. Yes, it's late but it's here! Jon Favreau was nice enough to join me and explain some things about the election that you haven't heard yet, even though it's already a week later. And, plus, you get to hear me read my first ad! Keep listening and tell your friends. Thanks to our sponsor and distributor Anchor. Go to Anchor.fm/start to get your own podcast going.
Just a regular teen, trying to figure stuff out
