    Bored Ghost uses tabletop roleplaying games to create stories. Each week we release half of a tale born out a play. From independently published collaborative storytelling games to traditional Role-Playing Games, we try it all to tell stories. These tales and games are experiments.

    The nuclear furnace that baths us with live giving rays has belched out a wave of death. A crew of three are all that stand in between Earth and certain destruction.

    The Characters:

    Dr. Childers Cube (John Holt) the radiation sickness expert Doctor.

    Dr. Franklin Cortez (Chris Diercksen) brilliant engineer and conceptual designer of the Allen.

    Lt. Cmdr. Red Roberts (Ken Breese) experimental space pilot and veteran of clandestine space wars.

    The Mission:

    The Crisis - A solar flare is racing towards Earth and will shear away the atmosphere.

    The Limit - An experimental solar sail ship is the only vehicle that could be capable of reflecting the brunt of the wave.

    The Plan - Get in the path of the wave with enough distance from the Earth to safely deflect the flare for its duration.

    Lisa Spillson "Lula" (Ken Breese) - The historian and descendant of Mary Shelley.

    Dr. Francis Tine "The Monster" (John Holt) - The head honcho.

    Dr. Becker, MD PHD "Vicktor" (Joe Desimone) - A devotee to the teachings and text of Mary Shelley.

    The Setup:

    Backdrop: A cult built on an interpretation of Victorian science fiction has retreated from the world.

    Main Location: The Castle - an abandoned missile silo in a field of such silos in the perimeter of a radioactive accident.

    Aspects (2nd Age): Mary Shelley is our Prophet Proactive Evolution Quarantine Zone Fully Buried

    Aspects (3rd Age): Mary Shelley is our Prophet New Hierarchy of Saints Proactive Evolution Quarantine Zone Fully Buried

    The Language:Genesis - The rollout into the future apocalypse. To the cultists; the act of bringing on the end. The the outsiders; genocide. Swapper - Genetic glue, a tech developed by the cult.     Ep116: Force Kale, pt2 Jul 04, 2018

As their material conditions improve, men raise their sights and become discontented with power and possessions that once would have seemed beyond their wildest dreams. And even when the external world has granted all it can, there still remain the searchings of the mind and the longings of the heart." – Childhood's End by Arthur C. Clarke

    This colony base with its military mission teeters on the edge of disaster.

    Quest: The Colony

    A generational colony ship has been sent to do an end run around the inhabited worlds of a species the humans of Earth have declared war upon. They are tasked with establishing a colony as a beachhead to launch attacks on the enemy flank. An engineering team has been sent in a smaller ship, the Lightbearer-Alpha just ahead of the colony ship to establish the infrastructure for the landing.

    The challenges: Hostile Megafauna in an Oxygen-Rich Atmosphere as well as Dissent & Disagreement amongst the team.

    The Characters:

    (Dalton) Main Character: Sibin Ukker (the Youth) - A brash young person who wants to uphold the Earth traditions, to never forget where they come from and desires respect from Jorges. Minor Character: Nils Gezzun (the Homesteader)

    (Ken Breese) Main Character: Shar-Banu (the Freethinker) - A documentarian who wants a new society, free of Earth's norms and desires Sibin's help in presenting the data to that end. Minor Character: Milow Beans (the Builder/Engineer)

    (John Holt) Main Character: Jorges Cao (the Visionary/Planner) - A driven engineer and architect who wants to tame the land and build a shining city while desiring Shar-Banu's help in keeping the others convinced that all is going well. Minor Character: Kana (the Loner)

    The Challenges:

    (1) Deal with Dangerous Wildlife - a 3 week task (2) Treat a disease afflicting the colony - a 2 day task (3) Prevent Schism in the Community - a 2 week task
