Welcome back to the Booked On Fantasy Podcast! Today we are diving into the fourth short story of The Assassin’s Blade titled, “The Assassin and the Underworld.” Celaena is back in Rifthold after a 3 month journey to and from the Red Desert. To Celaena's surprise, Arobynn offers an apology for his actions in the form of shiny sparkly gifts and a job that pays financially, and morally, well. At least that's what Arobynn tells Celaena. Celaena and Sam take the job on, only to realize they've been duped, but it's too late.

Welcome back to the Booked on Fantasy Podcast! Today we are covering the final episode of House of the Dragon Season 2!!! It’s been a rollercoaster of a season as the seeds of war are sown and lines are drawn. We’ve come full circle with Daemon announcing his public commitment to Rhaenyra after accepting the role he is to play in protecting the future from the inevitable winter. Aemond gets increasingly more desperate, as does Alicent, when she surprises Rhaenyra at Dragonstone with an offer Rhaenyra can't refuse. Rhaena comes face to face with a wild dragon. Will she make the bond she's always wanted? Last but not least, we learn that Otto has been imprisoned? Who could be behind this? All that and more on this episode!

Welcome back to the Booked On Fantasy Podcast! Today we are diving into the third short story of The Assassin’s Blade titled “The Assassin and the Desert” Celaena has arrived at the Red Desert for training as punishment from Arobynn, except wait….THIS IS NIIIIIICE! Expecting to find a cruel and competitive group of assassins ruled under an iron first, Celaena is pleasantly surprised to discover the Silent Assassins are kind and compassionate. Her time in the desert leads to new friendships, stealing a very expensive horse, and a tragic betrayal. Despite this, Celaena leaves the Silent Assassins feeling hopeful that although things have changed, maybe, just maybe they might be for the better.

House of the Dragon: S2 E7 Review & Breakdown | Diabolical Dragon Bonding, Alicent’s Retreat, & Securing the Riverlands Aug 01, 2024

Welcome back to the Booked on Fantasy Podcast! Today we are covering House of the Dragon Season 2 Episode 7. Do the Gods really favor Rhaenyra? She certainly seems to think so as she throws all the Targaryen low born into a diabolical dragon bonding experience. The scene was awful, but effective, since both Vermithor and Silverwing successfully bond new riders. Meanwhile Daemon finally makes progress in the Riverlands - mostly because of a young and bold Oscar Tully who agrees to align with him as long as he “serves justice.”
