    If there is one spot in the world I wouldn't have thought it would have been haunted...I'd probably answer you a dam. Not much goes on there human wise. It will produce power, help water currents, and just be a place of work. However, in one place in Tennessee has changed my mind completely. From Native American Curses, tragic deaths, murders, and just strange bad luck...the Hale's Bar Dam Powerhouse has all the makings of a haunted spot.

    Who doesn't love a good tourist attraction? A fun museum off the beaten path, a spooky haunted house ride, or...an amusement park. Now, we aren't talking about a certain Kingdom for mice. No, we're talking some of the lower populated ones. This week, we talk about a fun amusement park in Oregon called Enchanted Forest, which may or may not be haunted. Hear the story how one man with a dream opened a park one step at a time, to now there could be potential ghost sighting.

    Bob is no true crime expert. On the contrary, it's not his cup of tea by any means. However, when word got out that there was a documentary series on Netflix that fans were bugging him to watch...he jumped thinking he would find ghosts. Spoiler alert, there was no ghosts. However, what did surprise Bob was the story that accompanied the series. Bob binged the show, "Crime Scene: The Vanishing at the Cecil Hotel" and was greatly surprised about the outcome. It tells the story of the mysterious disappearance of Elisa Lam. Tourist in L.A who's body ended up strangely in a water filtration tank atop the hotel. However the story may not have real paranormal ties, the story remains true...the Hotel Cecil has a strange past that Bob wanted to dig in. This task may have been too big for him. Enter Rebecca and Pat. Hosts of Ghostly Podcast. The two shows team up to take on the story, and see what they can come up with. Bob's audio is a tad rough in this episode, since it was recorded via phone call, but rest assured...you can hear.

    There is a certain amusement park in Indiana that's slogan is, "There's more than corn in Indiana." This may come as a shock to our listeners whom never been, but truth is...there is more. Indiana holds some of America's most haunted locations. This episode is no different. Enter the makings of a classic haunted house story. Desolate location, tragic deaths, disembodied voices, and various other bits of nonsense. This the story of the Whispers Estate in Mitchell Indiana. A place that is said to scare folk away by trying to stay the night. Also, making Count Panek hungry by offerings of pizza for those who try.

    When you think of New Orleans, and presumably a fan of this show, then you may think of it as one of the most haunted places in the world. Nearly every bar, restaurant, and shop have some sort of ghost story at their location. The topic of this week is one of these locations, one of the most haunted bars in the country. The Lafitte's Blacksmith Shop Bar has a history dating back a long time. It's story involves criminals, pirates, shady business fronts, and a place where you can find spirits and well...spirits.


    072 – The Hannah House May 31, 2021

    When you think of Indiana, the last image you think of could hauntings. Images of the Indy 500, corn, Indiana Beach, and perhaps the home of Bob After Dark may come to mind. Well, nestled in the states capital in Indianapolis is a historic home built in 1858 by Alexander Hannah. This beautiful home still stands today as a relic of the era. Wide open rooms, old furniture, and the original carpeting still sit the home today. Thinking past the architectural aspects of the house, the idea that this place fits every stereotype of a classic haunted house story. If that was your thought, then you would be absolutely correct. The original residents of the house are still said to be inhabiting the home, and others as well. Upon further inspection, you find out the basement of the home was used to hide slaves away as they escaped slavery of the south, and move them along on the final parts of freedom of the north.

    Robert Johnson was a famous blues musician who's music influenced many current bands and artists. However, his coming to be talent, is shrouded in mystery. Join the Bob After Dark team as they look at his story involving a deal with the Devil. Also featured is the supposed curse of symphony writers, and a song that could be deadly. All of these stories involve the common theme of music, and how the songs we love can all have a darker side behind them. Including, a cursed song sung by Frank Sinatra.

Stories ranging from an active town with no one in it, climbing a hill that was never there, and a family eating dinosaur pancakes with a strange new mansion across the way.
