Joining Blood Red's Matt Addison, Kieran outlines the details behind the Reds' accounts, and why, if Jurgen Klopp was desperate to make a buy, the money IS there for that to be done. Kieran explains the current state of play, and why despite it not looking like it, the club has indeed been investing significantly. He also explains why the likes of Chelsea have spent so much this summer, and why even Manchester United have had to tread carefully in the market.

Post-Game: Liverpool 7-2 Blackpool | Takumi Minamino stars at Anfield Sep 05, 2020
    Show notes

Liverpool's final pre-season match of the summer saw both Takumi Minamino and Sadio Mane get on the scoresheet in a 7-2 win over Blackpool. With several stars away on international duty, it was a mixed XI that took to the field in the first half and they struggled to perform, trailing 2-1 at the break. But the half-time changes and stepping up of intensity did the trick for Jurgen Klopp as the second 45 minutes was a goal-fest, with Harvey Elliott, Divock Origi and Sepp van den Berg all coming off the bench to score. Join Guy Clarke and Matt Addison as they reflect and look back on the action at Anfield. Enjoy.
