What happened to Abraham’s cousins in Genesis 10? Dec 09, 2025

Show notes

The Bible lists only a handful of names between Noah and Abraham. But what about the others? Who were the 13 forgotten patriarchs—the cousins and contemporaries of Abraham who simply vanished from the historical and scriptural record? This video dives deep into one of the most compelling and often-overlooked biblical mysteries: the thirteen pre-Babel relatives of Abraham, detailed in Genesis, whose lines are suddenly and completely dropped. We explore the historical theories, linguistic changes, and theological reasons why these powerful tribal lines were essentially erased from the narrative that leads to Abraham's covenant. Discover the political and religious context that decided which names would be remembered, and which would be condemned to obscurity.📚 RECOMMENDED RESOURCES & FURTHER READINGThe Academic Source Code (Commentaries Used in this Video):
