Jesus Had a Cosmological Map We've Only Recently Rediscovered Apr 11, 2026

Most people read Mark 4 and 5 as two separate miracles sitting next to each other. Jesus calms a storm, then Jesus casts out a demon. Two episodes, two lessons, move on.But that's not what Mark is doing. This is one story, one campaign, two fronts on the same ancient war. And to see what Jesus actually did that night, you need the map his audience already had in their heads — because when you have that map, this passage stops being a miracle story and starts being the moment the whole Hebrew Bible was building toward. We cover the cosmic geography of the Sea of Galilee, what Deuteronomy 32 says about the eastern shore, why Bashan terrified a first century Jewish audience, and why the Book of Job is the key to understanding both what Jesus did on the water and what he did when he stepped off the boat.🖊 Substack: blkshpbible.substack.com

They Found It in a Cave and It Turned Modern Judaism Upside Down Apr 07, 2026

Get more like this from my newsletter: https://blkshpbible.substack.comFor over a thousand years, the ancient Jewish world had a portrait of the Messiah — specific enough to name his birthplace, describe his death, and fix the century of his arrival. It wasn't hidden in obscure corners. It was in the Talmud. The Midrash. The Targums. The Zohar. Written by Jewish scholars, for Jewish communities, centuries before Christianity had any influence over them. Then something happened. This video traces what the ancient Jewish sources actually say about the Messiah — and the four historical wounds that buried that portrait for a thousand years. From the Bar Kokhba revolt to the massacres of 1096, from Rashi's grief to Ramban's silence in Barcelona, this is the story of how a tradition lost sight of what its own scholars wrote down and preserved. The Great Isaiah Scroll has been sitting in a cave since before Jesus of Nazareth was born. It hasn't changed. The question Isaiah asked 700 years before Christ is still sitting there waiting.Who hath believed our report?

It names them, counts their bodies, and records their motives in uncomfortable detail...and then it tells you what God did about it.Ten case files. Ten killers. Warriors and assassins, vigilantes and mob bosses, men who killed thousands and women who killed one. Some were condemned. Some were rewarded. Some received a covenant from God as a direct result of what they did.Every verdict falls into one of three categories: Justified. Condemned. Or Complicated... and that last one is the most revealing of all.

In this deep dive, we explore a theory that transcends simple engineering: that the pyramid is not merely a religious invention, but a profound cultural echo of a lost historical memory. In this episode, we investigate the "Mountain of God" thesis. We examine the idea that every ziggurat, pyramid, and stepped temple is an attempt to recreate the topography of a lost home. By analyzing the Akkadian term Ziggarratu, literally meaning "the summit of a mountain," we discover that these structures weren't just buildings; they were desperate architectural prayers designed to bridge the gap between a fallen world and a divine peak.Drawing on ancient Near Eastern archaeology, Mesoamerican "Flower Mountains," and the biblical imagery of Ezekiel 28, we explore the Garden of Eden as the original Axis Mundi, the primordial mountain where Heaven and Earth once met. From the "botanical portals" of the Hanging Gardens of Babylon to the staircase of Jacob’s Ladder (the Hebrew Sullam), we trace how humanity has spent millennia building artificial summits to pull the divine presence back into our reality. Finally, we look at the ultimate shift from stone and mortar to the Incarnation. Join us as we uncover the universal language of the ancients and rediscover the mountain we all once called home.📚 FURTHER READING- The Pentateuch as Narrative: A Biblical-Theological Commentary by John H. In this deep dive into the Bible's original Hebrew context, we uncover the shocking and often overlooked truth that the word “Satan” was not originally meant to be understood as a personal name for a supreme evil being, but rather functioned as a specific job title—"ha-satan"—designating "the adversary" or the heavenly prosecutor within God's court. Pulling back the curtain on the unseen spiritual realm, we explore the fascinating concept of God’s Divine Council, a hidden administration of spiritual beings that govern the cosmos under His ultimate authority. By examining these ancient perspectives, we shed new light on bizarre and widely misunderstood scriptural narratives, from the strange story of Balaam’s talking donkey to the true, complex identity of the Angel of the Lord, who sometimes operated in the role of an adversary to test humanity. Understanding the ancient Near Eastern worldview and the original language fundamentally shifts how we interpret the spiritual hierarchy, revealing a dynamic heavenly government rather than a simple tale of good versus evil, ensuring you will never read your Bible exactly the same way again.👉 Get the Preview Bundle for my new book, Dynasty of Slaves, including the timeline graphic of Israel in Egypt: https://blkshpbible.substack.com/p/dynasty-of-slaves-free-preview-bundle🧢 BLK SHP Hats: https://blkshp.printful.me🙏 Donate to BLK SHP: https://donate.stripe.com/fZu3co477b6rauWcMQd3i00

In a span of just a few decades, the mighty Hittite Empire vanished, the Mycenaeans disappeared, and the great power of Egypt began to crumble. Historians call this the Late Bronze Age Collapse, and they often point to a mysterious group of invaders known as the "Sea Peoples" as the wrecking ball that brought it all down. But amidst this global catastrophe, one tiny, emerging nation wasn't destroyed. In fact, they were just getting started. In this video, we dig into the archaeology of the Bronze Age Collapse to see how the geopolitical vacuum created by this "dark age" perfectly matches the biblical timeline of Joshua and Judges. We’ll look at the Amarna Letters, which record the desperate pleas of Canaanite kings watching their cities fall to the "Habiru," and we'll explore why the superpowers of the day were too distracted to stop the rise of Ancient Israel. Was the collapse of the Bronze Age just a historical accident? Or was it a divine "clearing of the land" to make way for a new kingdom? Let's look at the evidence.📚 RECOMMENDED RESOURCES & FURTHER READING- 1177 B.C.: The Year Civilization Collapsed - Eric H.
