450 - National Association of African American Gun Owners Nov 10, 2015

Show notes

For twenty five years I have been a gun rights activist and firearms trainer known internationally as the Black Man With A Gun. I’ve seen them come and I’ve seen them go. I almost faded myself but my time has not yet come. I am here to help and teach, support the next generation of American freedom fighters, patriots and leaders. This week, I catch up Phil Smith, founder of the National African American Gun Owners Association. He is our featured guest and we plan to have weekly updates here on the show. Also on your show, I have new firearms trainer Michael J. Woodland with a tip of the week. And our expert trainer, author and friend indulges me on my silly question and quest for info about 1911’s again. As this is my gun focus for the month. I answer the most asked question received when I am lecturing and speaking professionally; “How Do We Get More Black People Into Our Organization?”

448 - Soul Man Returns Oct 25, 2015

Show notes

I almost let go and then went “back to the future” on my own podcast. I started listening to past shows and then looked around at all the shows that have pod-faded since I started. And thought, wow, I am still here. Maybe I should keep going just a little bit longer. And if I do maybe I should be more upbeat, more Kenn Blanchard. I got a text from my friend and sometimes sidekick Kevin to remind me of the gun show happening one day only in Prince Georges County, Maryland. I stopped by to see what was going down and got inspired to reboot myself, and bring back the Soul Man. If you have been around awhile you will notice the change of the shows sound. Thank you for sticking it out with me. I see a growing number of African Americans in the gun community now after twenty-five years of being in it and they don’t know all the stuff I have learned. I got a new audience to reach, motivate and inspire. I’ve talked to a lot of people over the years. I call roll on that. You’ll hear the candid conversation of Kev and I as he shares the pain of being pro-gun and black. And the energy and enthusiasm of http://MarylandShallIssue.org’s Ms Jacqueline. Eight years of podcasting and I am not finished yet…

446 - What About Gun Free Zones Oct 08, 2015

Show notes

In this episode of your favorighteous pro-gun podcast by your friend and brother from another mother, Kenn Blanchard harps on the number “10” like a Sesame Street theme. He always answers a listener that called in about what President Obama said about gun free zones and common sense legislation. What are they? You’ll also hear some little known American history facts about the 10th Cavalry US Army regiment known as the “Buffalo Soldiers.” And you’ll hear why Kenn wants you to join the 10dollargunclub.com. Did you know its crossbreed holsters.com ten year anniversary?

Kenn tries to read some good stuff from David B. Kopel’s Truth About Gun Control which sums up some of his points.

And he tries to do it all “authoritatively.”

443 - Are We Modern Day Abolitionists

The difference between truth and fact is that fact is something that cannot be combated with reasoning, for it is logic itself. But truth is something which depends on a person's perspective and experience.
