46 year old Steve White of Greensboro, North Carolina was a gay army veteran who suffered great injury from a civilian job he took in Iraq. Mental and physical pain caused him to become an alcoholic. Everything in his life came crashing down due to his addiction, including his serious relationship with Alex. One November night he and Alex went to dinner to discuss their relationship and Steve's drinking issues. After dinner, Alex sent Steve to go have one last Hurrah binge of alcohol and sex with other men. Steve would never come back home.
True Crime Quickie from Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. Madison, Wisconsin resident 41 year old Felicia Melton-Smyth, a trans woman, was on a working vacation in Puerto Vallarta, when her kind heart reached out to a man wandering around her hotel. The man had just arrived in Puerto Vallarta, he had no money and no place to stay, so she invited him to stay with her for the night.

A gay man named Leon Laureles was a caretaker for others nearly his whole life. At the age of 30 he was finally free to explore his own life and sexuality. Unfortunately Leon lived in a small Texas town where living your truth was not embraced by the good ol boys who lived there. If you weren't white and straight in this conservative town trouble could be waiting. And waiting it was for Leon who was not just quietly gay but also hispanic. I met with Leon's niece Arlene at the True Crime Paranormal Festival and was honored to be able to speak with her.

Missing but not forgotten update on Austin Cornia of Utah. Missing but not forgotten Kit Mora of Washington State.
Main Case: 28 year old Aaron Scheerhorn had everything going for him until one night in December 2010, he was out in the Montrose section (the gayborhood) of Houston Texas and was attacked by a well dressed, tall, large black man with a knife. Aaron ran to the the front of The Blur Bar. The bouncers outside refused to let Aaron in, even after he showed them his chest stab wound. Talking to the bouncers gave his killer time to catch up with Aaron.
True Crime Quickie is from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania in 2022. 41 year old Eric Pope was hit in his face by a bouncer at Tabu Bar, an LGBTQ nightclub. Once hit, he fell to the ground hitting his head on the cement. This case is very much like the Christopher McKinney case from Louisville, Kentucky.

This case was sent to me by A Nefarious Nightmare Podcast and their Minding the Beehive survivors of serial rapist Adrian Vildusea. In Bartlesville, Oklahoma, 66 year old Steven Mark Brashear was going through a divorce when his 21 year old friend Daylan Thornton asked Steven to take him to Tuscon, Arizona for the Christmas holidays. Once in Arizona, the two men went on a hike in a mountainous national forest. Only one man returned from the hike.
True Crime Quickie could be an episode of Fear Thy Neighbor. 27 year old Danielle Smith lived in Missouri in a trailer park. Her neighbor, a surly man had great disdain for Danielle sexuality. How did her sexual identity impact his life you may ask? It didn't in the least...he was just an asshole...

Our main case takes us to Australia this episode for a tale of love, mental illness, domination and a thrill killing. Jemma and Trudi, an unlikely duo became involved in a BDSM relationship, with one of the women having a lifelong fantasy of becoming a serial killer.
Our True Crime Quickie is from New Zealand. A 14 year old boy is slain by two adult men just because he looked different. The men then bragged they beat a fag.
