Missing but not forgotten LGBTQ person is Aaron Cody Fortner. 31 year old Kevin Clewer was on a night out with his friend John. The two men were bar hopping in the Boystown gayborhood of Chicago in March of 2004. Kevin would leave John at one of the bars as he left with a young man who called himself Fernando. Kevin's body would be found in his apartment by his father the following evening. The case has gone cold and has some eerie similarities to the case of Phillip DiMartino, who I covered just a few episodes ago. True Crime Quickie is from Canada. The Murder and Dismemberment of Audrey Trudeau.

Back in 2001, Jayess, Mississippi a 58 acre compound housed Reverend David Earl King, his wife, his 32 year old adopted son, his 10-11 children, and some of his congregation. The acreage had a large house for the Kings, mobile homes for non relatives, a church with a basement that was used as a school, farm animals, trees and brush. The school was prime hunting ground for the Reverend, his adult adopted son and another man to prey on young boys sexually. While this is not a typical LGTBTQ story, it's one of deceit and betrayal by a trusted man of God. Missing but not forgotten Martin Seyyfert. True Crime Quickie from Florida in Feb of this year 2024.
*** Correction to where Martin Seyyfert may be. In episode I said Avondale, Arizona, it may be Avondale, Pennsylvania...media viewed was never clear about which city or town of Avondale. However there was a possible sighting of Martin in West Gate which is in Pennsylvania.

16 year old Nex Benedict was a gender non conforming sophomore at their high school in Oklahoma. This month they went to use the bathroom and were attacked by three upper classmen girls resulting in Nex having head trauma. The following day Nex died. This chid did not have to die, but thanks to some irresponsible adults that is exactly what happened.
Oklahoma has been notorious for their anti LGBTQ laws, especially anti trans. Add an anti LGBTQ ultra conservative troll from Tik Tok to the mix and something tragic was bound to happen. This episode also meet Chaya Raichik, the troll behind the Tik Tok account LibsofTikTok which is a social media account that is vile against the LGBTQ community, epsecially trans folk.
An update on Nex's case was provided with permission by V from Under the desk news, a Tik Tok Influencer.

Join C.J. for the discussion of two hate groups...one is TERF and the other is Women II Women ran by Amie Ichikawa.
CALL TO ACTION: Please email or call, below is a sample letter.
Dear Mr. Broomfield, I am concerned that Amie Ichikawa and Woman II Woman is being allowed back into CCWF after previously having been denied. She supports the author of Serial killers in heaven and victims in hell and the light side of serial killers. Victims have been damaged and harmed by her careless actions. She was previously granted a 6 month pass to go into the facility which resulted in her harming victims by promoting the people who killed their loved ones. The person who constantly lets her in is Courtney Waybright, Amie, has proudly put Courtney’s support publicly all over social media. As the Customer Relationship Manager, should she not consider the ramifications of the victims? Please stop Courtney from letting her in. Their friendship should not come before the safety of the CCWF population and should not come before victims rights. Amie also has loudlysupported The Proud Boys by marching with them. And, is touting a dangerous rhetoric against the LGBTQ community. Even going as far as to call for violence against the trans community. After going into the facility she’s done 3 international interviews and many domestic that contain dangerous and violent calls to action. Including supporting contraband in the prison by putting out cell phone photos inside the prison by those she supports. Please stop her from going in on Feb 15th and please provide a 6 month ban.
