    BTB #1On this week’s episode of Beyond the Badge, Vincent Hill discusses a case that he discussed on local news in Atlanta involving a shooting at the Courthouse in Downtown Atlanta.

    A man who was in court concerning child support was shot in the butt after refusing to cooperate with authorities in regards to putting away his tablet in the courtroom. No cameras nor recording devices are allowed in a courtroom by law. The judge repeatedly asked him to put the tablet away to no avail. The man was belligerent toward the judge who called law enforcement into the situation and that’s where things got nasty.

    BTB #1This week, Vincent discusses St. Anthony, MN police officer Jeronimo Yanez being charged with manslaughter in the shooting of Phil Castile, which his girlfriend live streamed of Facebook. Prosecutors have come to the conclusion that Castile never attempted to pull the handgun from his pocket after telling Officer Yanez that he had it and was licensed to carry the weapon. If convicted, Officer Yanez faces 10 years in prison.

    Vincent wraps up the show by discussing the war on police in America and how people would react if someone came into their office shooting. If you think about it, an officer’s patrol car is their office. Why is there no conversation about that?
