    My Robot Lover - MTP359 Jun 09, 2023
    Show notes

Co-Host Steve Favis (https://mountaintoppodcast.com/robot) With all the talk about AI nowadays, it's inevitable that our focus turns to the concept of augmenting--or even replacing--relationships with women with relationships with robots. After all, your robot lover will never cheat on you, refuse sex, or be emotionally needy...let alone abusive. There would be no complaining about how much you drink and how much time you spend with your friends video gaming. And as an added bonus, 'she' will even clean your house, do the laundry and make you a sandwich. As much of a MGTOW paradise as this sounds, is this a good thing? Our instincts tell us not, even though the aforementioned benefits seem like an easy-button bonanza. So what's the deal? Are we just resistant to potential change, or should we listen to our instincts? My guest, Steve Favis, not only runs a robotics company, he holds the major US patents for humanoid robots and has already been actively building them for several years now. For starters, he's here to calm fears about 'The Singularity', singing the praises of what robots have to offer...both now and into the future. Obviously, there are tons of applications. But specifically as it all relates to 'fembots', what are the advantages and the disadvantages...including the ones we haven't even thought of yet? And what could be particularly sneaky about the disadvantages, especially with regard to the long-term welfare of mankind? I mean, on one hand not getting the robot pregnant sounds great, but you're not going to have babies with 'her' even if you want to. Or can you? Not to be denied, purely for fun we imagine what robot sex lives might be like post-Singularity. Get up to speed with all the free downloads and more at https://mountaintoppodcast.com

Building Friendships And Alliances With Other Men - MTP358 Jun 02, 2023
    Show notes

Co-Host Antonio Neves (https://mountaintoppodcast.com/antonio) After a long career in television media, my guest co-host Antonio Neves now runs groups for men. He is also the author of Stop Living On Autopilot. Tony had the 'highlight reel' lifestyle on social media, but in reality his life was a mess...and headed south. He may have continued on that trajectory, except he got a break...he found and joined a community of men. How is such a community of men life-changing? And why is it different than going out and getting a beer with a buddy? What does Tony mean when he says, 'You need a man to call you up instead of calling you out'? Why is getting advice from an anonymous Internet group not nearly as valuable and effective as meeting with a much smaller group of guys in real life? What is the somewhat 'hidden' psychological barrier that tricks men out of building alliances and relationships with other dudes? Is there a specific reason why we can't count on our wives and girlfriends to meet the same need in our life a group of men would? What does being 'emotionally constipated' mean...and why is it not just unhealthy but potentially even dangerous to men? And what is it about the 'Lone Ranger' mentality that is especially damaging to men? One of Tony's most profound observations in this show is how we as men don't check in with other men we know and see how they're really doing. We take 'I'm fine' as a stock answer and move on. That obviously sounds important on the surface, so why do so few of us as men actively do it? And finally, what does it mean to gain 'allies of glory' instead of 'thieves of ambition'? Sexual Respect - MTP357 May 26, 2023
    Show notes

Co-Host Mike Domitrz (https://mountaintoppodcast.com/respect) It seems whenever you turn on the tv or get on social media, someone is complaining again because they feel disrespected. Often the context is men and women feeling slighted--or even wronged--by the other gender. So how about it...do we have a respect problem between men and women nowadays? If so, what contributed to that? Well, my returning guest Mike Domitrz (rhymes with 'Amish') is no respecter of persons when it comes to one gender's claim of disrespect over another. Instead, he respects EVERYONE, and the first order of business in this episode is to explain WHY. And yes, you can indeed rest assured that this is not going to be another man-bashing parade. In fact, it's quite the opposite. By the end of this episode you'll not only emerge empowered to respect women without getting bulldozed, but also BE respected by those very same women. What's reasonable for a man to expect in terms of sexual respect from a woman? What is the one tendency in human nature that absolutely has to be curtailed in order for there to be respect? And what positive trait should that negative one be replaced with? How should we handle an interaction, with a woman on a date or otherwise, if we're not feeling respected? Has the rise of effective birth control cheapened sex, and therefore fomented an entitlement attitude toward it? What ever happened to the idea of 'tolerance'? What are Mike's thoughts on how alcohol/drugs contribute to lack of sexual respect? Can we as men, like women, revoke consent if we decide 'maybe not' in the moment? How? Should you feel shamed for not wanting to date trans women? How do we respectfully ask someone their pronouns if we're unsure they're even non-binary or trans? How To Be "Mr. Right" - MTP356 May 19, 2023
    Show notes

Co-Host Polina Solda (https://mountaintoppodcast.com/pyramid) The term "Mr. Right" is typically used by women, isn't it? But let's face it, if you're a man who wishes to deserve what he wants, that means in order to get the woman who's right for you into your life, you're going to also have to be the man who's right for her. My returning guest is dating coach for women extraordinaire Polina Solda, who brings back both her considerable wisdom and her Russian accent for your listening pleasure. And in the long and storied tradition of Russian straightforward opinion, she begins by--in her words--"destroying" the biggest myth out there when it comes to being "Mr. Right". Next, she presents the toolkit she uses for determining personality and relationship style, especially as it pertains for gaining insight into the kind of partner we are most attractive to and compatible with. Interestingly enough, it was developed by the Soviets, and therefore practically unknown to the Western world. So what does Polina have to say about the American man's fascination with Russian women? When they're actually "Ms. Right" for a certain guy, could it usually be for unexpected reasons? Both Polina and I firmly believe that the right relationship shouldn't feel like work. Listen in as Polina gives that somewhat controversial concept a whole new dimension. And that said, how should men and women be similar or different in a good relationship? I mean, do likes or opposites attract? Get in on the latest Masterclass for men and talk to me free for 25 minutes when you visit https://mountaintoppodcast.com

How To Be The Patriarch Of Your Family - MTP355 May 12, 2023
    Show notes

Co-Host Elliott Katz (https://mountaintoppodcast.com/katz) My returning guest is the author of several books for both men and women on relationships, especially pertaining to long-term success. He's the right guy to help cover an important topic that has been on my radar screen for a long time now, which is being the patriarch of one's family. What does that even mean? And does it necessarily have to be tied to the negative Feminist stereotype of 'The Patriarchy'? Could it be that most red-blooded women really WANT you to be the leader of your family...even your extended family? We know men should provide and protect, but what is the caveat to that if you really want to be respected by your family? Why is it so many men can be leaders at work, but fail at being the leader at home? As it turns out, there are undeniable traits and characteristics of a true family patriarch. What are they? On the other hand, how do perfectly good, decent men take themselves out of the running for being the family patriarch, even if unwittingly? Finally--and importantly--why should a man even WANT or CARE to be the patriarch of his family...especially if he's still way too young to even think about it yet? What's in it for him? By the time this episode is finished, you'll stand up and cheer. You'll feel believed in, for once...and emerge with quite a bit of third-party validation that what we talk about here at X & Y Communications really, really works. Instagram Is Only Fans' Kiddie Pool - MTP354 May 05, 2023
    Show notes

Co-Host Robbie Kramer (https://mountaintoppodcast.com/kramer) 'Instagram has become such a phenomenon in dating, that if you're a single guy and not using it, it's really, really hard to compete.' That's a quote from my returning guest and dating expert Robbie Kramer, who has enough social media expertise to know. But wait a minute, is this about competing with thousands of other schmucks for the attention of bikini-clad IG 'influencers' with hundreds of thousands of followers? Truth be told, it's more about YOUR Instagram posts. And even if you don't have thousands of followers, there's a right way to use the platform, and it's counter-intuitive for most men. The hint there is attempting to use Instagram as a dating app in and of itself would usually be a HUGE mistake. So then, what should you do with IG instead? What can a man do to break through all the noise on Instagram and get the right attention from the right kind of women? How do you use it to build your social circle and your personal power, not just get more dates? Wait until you hear Robbie's super smart way to find out who the women are you really, genuinely are into you...just by posting the RIGHT things to Instagram. As if that wasn't enough, his unique strategy on what to actually do with all of your new female friends on Instagram might blow you away. First Impressions - MTP353 Apr 28, 2023
    Show notes

Co-Host Kimmy Seltzer (https://mountaintoppodcast.com/seltzer) My returning guest is a style consultant and a dating strategist, so who better to join me for this long-overdue show about how to make a brilliant first impression? Well, it might surprise you, but Kimmy Seltzer hasn't always been the queen of style. In fact, like many of us, she went through a devastating breakup that sent her into the doldrums. It was only after what I jokingly renamed her 'moment of redress' that she realized how far just a little bit of self love could go. Nowadays, of course, she's all about empowering others to make a big splash when meeting others. Kimmy explains how she went from thinking 'inside out' as a therapist to giving due credit to working from the 'outside in' as well. Is it really so bad to compare a good first impression to product marketing? What is 'enclothed cognition'...and is it anything like 'costumed confidence'? What's the one thing you can do that's not only fall-out-of-bed easy, but actually FUN to make your first impression better? How do you maximize your first impression online when you have mere milliseconds to make it happen? It used to be women would go shopping in curlers...but now it's actually worse! And hey, why is it that we STILL notice the frumpy ones anyway? Is the joke on us? As a special bonus, listen in as Kimmy somewhat inadvertently reveals what's really going on in many women's heads when most of us as guys think women are repulsed by us (hint: Oh no, it's most certainly NOT your fault. In fact, it's not even YOU). The website has been updated AGAIN, featuring links to the new programs, new videos on YouTube and more... https://mountaintoppodcast.com

The Case For Staying Single - MTP352 Apr 21, 2023
    Show notes

Co-Host Peter McGraw (https://mountaintoppodcast.com/solo) Two episodes ago, we talked about how society is apparently keeping us single. This time, Dr. Peter McGraw returns to ask what's necessarily wrong with that? Even though more than fifty percent of American adults are single, there's still somehow a stigma associated with it. However, Peter isn't only among that majority of single adults, he's happily unhitched. And if you think about it, if the stereotype about us as men is how we go out of our way to avoid marriage, where's the bad rap coming from? Well, prepare for some shocking news from Peter, because despite his own personal optimism, most singles even nowadays really do wish they were in a relationship. Or do they only think they wish they were in a relationship? How can we know the difference as pertaining to our own life? And if it's true we happen to be in the relative minority who actually want to stay single, how do we go about living that dream the way Peter does? So, is marriage really a social relic of the past that we can't seem to shake off as a culture? Or is it more like marriage came along relatively recently in human history as part of the evolutionary cycle of culture? As for single people themselves, they're not all alike. Peter has identified at least four different kinds of singles, and he explains all. Along with that, isn't there a big difference between lonely and bitter vs. happily free and playing the field for a season? And if you ARE going to be single--by choice or otherwise--what are some key, and perhaps unexpected ideas and strategies you're going to have to keep in mind? Most of all, how do you live a remarkable life, whether married or single? Power Couples - MTP351 Apr 14, 2023
    Show notes

Co-Host Emily McKay (https://www.deservewhatyouwant.com) You hear the term 'power couple' quite a bit, but what exactly does it mean? We know one when we see one, for sure. But is it necessarily a good thing? Would we want to team up with our WAGs to BE one? If so, how do we BECOME one? Well, let's first get this out in the open: I'm not sure whether my wife Emily and I are indeed a 'power couple' or not, especialy after this conversation...as entertaining and informative as it was. So then, how about it? What kind of 'power' are we talking about here, anyway? What does it take for a couple to add up to more than the sum of their individual parts? What are the actual, real-world traits of a 'power couple'? Can a couple be a 'power couple' simply by acting like one, or does that distinction have to be earned...if not bestowed upon them by others? What are the different ways can a couple indeed be powerful? Doesn't the expectation to be a 'power couple' put a lot of pressure on spouses, especially if one wants it more than the other? Is this something we should aspire to--in one way or another--or does it all only relegate the relationship to feeling more like 'work' again? Is it true in this case that the bigger they are, the harder they fall? And hey, is there such thing as 'power parents'? That sounds flat-out cringeworthy. One thing's for sure about this episode, Emily and I didn't leave anything on the table, all the while taking ourselves far less seriously than any 'power couple' typically should. Guess what? I've finally come through on updating the YouTube channel. Brand new, fluff-free videos every Tuesday here: https://mountaintoppodcast.com/youtube

Is Society Keeping You Single? - MTP350 Apr 07, 2023
    Show notes

Co-Host Dr. Scott Yenor (https://mountaintoppodcast.com/revolution) My returning guest is the ever-controversial professor at Boise State University and now Senior Director of State Coalitions for Claremont Institute. Exactly 100 shows ago, he and I threw down what has become one of the most cited episodes in the catalog...on the pressures facing men, the family and even sexual procreation in this culture. This long-anticipated follow-up covers the social factors that may be keeping you single instead of dating and relating to women. As you well know, we're not about whining and victimhood around here. So the tone of this episode is more about empowering you to navigate the current societal roadblocks than merely complaining. Right off the bat, Scott proclaims that our civilization is straight-up broken, and the reasons for that are complicated. But he's forthright in saying the very sexual dance between men and women appears to be breaking down, and offers clear reasons why. How has emphasizing career and financial production for women, among other factors, contributed to the need for what Scott calls 'The Sexual Counter-Revolution'? Why is this so offensive to even talk about nowadays? And importantly, how do we as men factor into all of this? (For what it's worth, I gasped when I heard Scott's answer to that question.) And perhaps most amazingly of all, listen to the ironic reason why Scott thinks it may be easier nowadays for you to find the right woman for you than ever.
