RONALD RICHARDS (on Erika Jayne Legal Update, His Earrings Purchase, Tom's Indictments, RHOBH & What Next) - II Mar 08, 2023

Show notes

Ronald Richards steps BACK Behind The Rope. Our convo continues. You have read his tweets. You have heard all that Erika Jayne has said about him. Today, the lawyer most closely associated with the Girardi case, who has been covering Tom and Erika’s legal woes before any of us focused on these matters, is here to help make sense of it all. Ronald clarifies Erika’s criminal and civil legal exposure, the incorrect assumption that whether she “knew” or did not “know” is the threshold for culpability, the recent IRS tax liens and possibility of Bravo garnishing her RHOBH wages. Of course, we deep dive the ever changing saga of the famed earrings, Ronald’s purchase of them, legal motivation for this purchase and oh so much more. As RHOBH Season Thirteen filming commences, Ronald is here to help us make sense of it all. Thank you for your time Attorney Richards.

JOEY ZAUZIG (on Real Friends of WeHo, Drag Race, BFF Meredith Marks & Getting a Haircut w/ Lisa Rinna!) Mar 07, 2023

Show notes

The Real Friends of WeHo’s Joey Zauzig steps Behind The Rope. Now that the freshman season of the hit MTV show has come and gone, Joey reflects upon the season breaking down highs and lows both on and off screen. Joey chats cast mates - welcome back to our screens Brad Goreski, Curtis’ coming out, the many misperceptions surrounding Todrick Hall and how there is no love lost with Jaymes and Dorion. Of course, Joey addresses all the controversy surrounding the show since its release - a shortened Drag Race, claims against appropriate and diverse community representation, whether the cast are “real” friends, social media threats, ratings and last but certainly not least, all those WeHo bars that turn off the show and cheer once Drag Race has ended. Joey discusses why he thinks the show is important for the future of LGBTQIA programming, what a potential Season Two would look like, who would most likely not return and why the Drag Race loyalists should have accepted this show with open arms. Finally, after having made an appearance this season, Joey chats BFF Meredith Marks, fav Real Housewives and franchises and that one time he got his hair done at Sally Hershberger next to Lisa Rinna!

KAREN GRAVANO (on Mob Wives, The Mob, Her Dad Sammy The Bull, The Lifestyle & Cast Mates!) Mar 05, 2023

Show notes

Everyone always asks us what our favorite interviews of all time are. The answer is always the same. Since we interview so many people a week, it is always changing! That said, THIS chat with Mob Wives’ Karen Gravano is one of our absolute favorites. NO question was off limits! For all who have missed this epic chat, we share it here today!

Wasting no time, David & Karen delve right in to her childhood and the moment she realized her life was “different" than that of others based, in part, on a murder outside one of her father's, Sammy The Bull’s, nightclubs. Other than a few other factors which tipped Karen off to the fact that this wasn’t how many families lived, Karen discusses her “normal” (for lack of a better word) childhood - dating, friends, having a “cousin" whose family the Donnie Brasco movie was based on. After discussing the definition of important words such as “Mafia”, “Loyalty" and “Rat”, Karen and David talk about “The Gotti Tapes”, the domino effect fall out that thereafter followed, and the subsequent end of the relationship between Gotti and Sammy The Bull. David and Karen analyze the Mob lifestyle and all that comes along with it - the made guys, competing families and, at the end of the day, family togetherness and love. Tune in to Part 1 of Behind The Velvet Rope’s very special sit down with Karen Gravano.

KIM D. (on The Gorgas' Paranoia, Teresa's Show, Rachel Fuda's Half Truths & Cabral vs. Goldschneider) Mar 04, 2023

Show notes

Kim D. is in rare form today as she breaks down Teresa’s latest interview - her laugh at the mention of The Gorgas “next season”, the revelation that her bro visited her in jail only once and for the camera$, her calm demeanor and - dare we say - well spoken verbiage and last, but certainly not least, friendly reminder to all listening and watching that this is The Real Housewives of Teresa. In other news, Kim addresses the Gorga’s seemingly paranoid claims that an evil force is out to get them and addresses the rumors that she, and this very Podcast, are those forces. Tuning our attention to this week’s RHONJ episode, Kim explains the real reason Melissa was crying in the bathroom, the real reason Josephina did not attend his sister’s housewarming, who came out ahead in Cabral vs. Goldschneider Round Two, who came out ahead in Aydin vs. Fuda Round Two, the involvement of Dolo and Marge, the on screen half truths spewed forth by Fuda and oh so very much more. As we said, in rare form, Miss D. is just getting started.

Vanderpump Rules Catch Up, Randall Emmett Update, Jen Shah's Prison Life & RHOBH New Season Commences Mar 03, 2023

Show notes

With a few episodes of VPR under our belts, we figured it time to break down this season of Vanderpump Rules. We discuss all our thoughts on this season, deep dive the many breaks ups, make ups, make outs, ask outs, share our hot takes on LVP and everyone’s new business ventures and last, but certainly not least, break down the Randall Emmett of it all. Moving on, we discuss Jen Shah’s final “statement”, for lack of a better word, before surrendering to authorities in Texas where she will spend the approximate next 6.5 years in FPC Bryan, a minimum security prison camp for women. Next, we discuss the new season of RHOBH which began filming without Lisa Rinna and address all the casting rumors separating fact from fiction including the potential involvement of Bravo’s Million Dollar Listing’s very own Tracy Tutor. Finally, we address all the off camera recent sagas of one Miss Kim Zolciak Biermann, the every changing on again, off again, now seemingly off home foreclosure that was not and just how she managed, as she always stated, to avoid eviction and disaster in her life, once again.

Fact vs. Fiction (Jax Taylor / Danielle Staub Villain Show, Erika Jayne's Secret Service Ties, RHUGT Fiasco & Bethenny Frankel's Success) Mar 02, 2023

Show notes

Now that the dust has settled, we break down Caroline Manzo and Brandi Glanville’s future on Bravo and true likelihood we will ever see either back on our TV’s. Once that is done, we discuss Bethenny Frankel’s recent comments about the entire situation and share our hot takes on whether she is one of the best Real Housewives ever or, at the end of the day, overrated. In other news, we deep dive Erika Jayne and Tom Girardi’s involvement with the Secret Service, the current state of their legal troubles and what happens for each next. Finally, we chat about the rumored E “Villain” show, the potential cast including many of our favorites such as Jax Taylor, Danielle Staub, Rachel Reilly and Omarosa no last name needed and separate fact from fiction on whether this show is real, green lit and actually in production.
