KAREN GRAVANO (on Mob Wives, The Mob, Her Dad Sammy The Bull, The Lifestyle & Cast Mates!) - II Mar 12, 2023

Show notes

Everyone always asks us what our favorite interviews of all time are. The answer is always the same. Since we interview so many people a week, it is always changing! That said, THIS chat with Mob Wives’ Karen Gravano is one of our absolute favorites. NO question was off limits! For all who have missed this epic chat, we share it here today!

Wasting no time, David & Karen delve right in to her childhood and the moment she realized her life was “different" than that of others based, in part, on a murder outside one of her father's, Sammy The Bull’s, nightclubs. Other than a few other factors which tipped Karen off to the fact that this wasn’t how many families lived, Karen discusses her “normal” (for lack of a better word) childhood - dating, friends, having a “cousin" whose family the Donnie Brasco movie was based on. After discussing the definition of important words such as “Mafia”, “Loyalty" and “Rat”, Karen and David talk about “The Gotti Tapes”, the domino effect fall out that thereafter followed, and the subsequent end of the relationship between Gotti and Sammy The Bull. David and Karen analyze the Mob lifestyle and all that comes along with it - the made guys, competing families and, at the end of the day, family togetherness and love. Tune in to Part 1 of Behind The Velvet Rope’s very special sit down with Karen Gravano.

KIM D. (on Scandoval / Raquel / Ariana Mess, Newbie Advice, RHONJ Recap & Message for Marge) Mar 11, 2023

Show notes

Tom and Ariana broke up. The BravoVerse, mainstream media and world seem to want to talk about nothing else but this breakup twenty four hours a day, seven days a week. Although we do not necessarily agree with that sentiment, Kim D. helps us break down all the events which led up to this break up, Tom and Raquel’s recent “formal” statements, the reaction of Vanderpump cast members, Andy Cohen and LVP, the “revenge porn” ban, cease and desist letters, retraining orders and last, but certainly not least, what this means for the future of VPR and true possibility of past cast members Jax, Stassi and or Kristen returning - yes rumors are Kristen is in talks. Moving on, Kim breaks down this week’s episode, shares her updated thoughts on newbies Cabral and Fuda, has a message for Marge involving Siggy and names her MVP and Messy Boots of this week’s RHONJ. Finally, as part of her ReWife, thank you Bethenny Frankel, Kim breaks down Season Two, Episode One. Seeing as this episode is her official RHONJ premiere, we have a lot to say to Miss D. whose freshman appearance was shady AF and in true Rope fashion, we have no problem calling out our regular Sat Dutchess for all of her messiness.

LVP's RHOBH Future, Brandi Glanville's RHUGT Statement, RHOC Last Minute Cast Changes & RHOP's Future Mar 10, 2023

Show notes

With Brandi Glanville’s recent statement surrounding RHUGT 4 and viral cameo, we deep dive what happens now, when can we realistically expect to see RHUGT 4 on our screens, will we ever see this installment and, if so, to what extent will it be heavily edited and last, but certainly not least, what is the status of NBC Universal’s rumored investigation and when, if ever, will we find out the results. If all that was not a mouthful, we discuss the new season of currently filming RHOBH and whether Lisa Vanderpump’s recent on line activity suggests she really does want to rejoin this ratings blockbuster. In other west coast news, all is not well in RHOC land as Gina Kirschenheiter is downgraded to “friend of” while Taylor Armstrong is going to be holding an orange when RHOC returns later this year - we break that down and discuss what it really means for the next season of Orange County. Finally, with lawsuits, omissions and fake accusations, we share our hot takes on how to move forward with the current mess that is RHOP. Breathe!

Which Housewives Are Thriving After Termination, Andy's Favorites, New Gorga Troubles & Kyle Richards' Denial Mar 09, 2023

Show notes

With a Juicy Joe / Joe Gorga “run in” we never thought we needed again in our lives, we figured it time to regroup on all the drama that has been taking place both on and off screen in the RHONJ world over the past few weeks. With what looks like Melissa Gorga’s last season, we discuss life after housewives and which of our fav ladies have landed on their feet with a career after the inevitable - unless your name is Teresa or Kyle - termination and which are still struggling to get back on their feet. We chat Lisa Rinna’s current “booked and busy” status, Andy Cohen’s favorite housewives and why Housewives on Ozempic is still a hot topic all these months later.
