Introducing: Diss and Tell Apr 22, 2024

Show notes

Sibling fights are unavoidable, but what if every moment of tension – real or imagined – was under a microscope on a global scale? That’s the reality for the brothers from the House of Windsor: Prince William and Prince Harry. They were others’ closest friends and allies since the death of their mother. But, that all began to crack as they each married and took wildly different approaches to their royal duties.

Wondery’s podcast DISS AND TELL is hosted by comedians Sydney Battle and Matt Bellassai. Each episode unpacks one of pop culture’s most iconic celebrity feuds, and they recently took a deeper look into the real reason William vs Harry started.

This is just a preview of Diss and Tell. Listen to The Diss and Tell wherever you get your podcasts, or at Wondery.fm/dissandtell_velvetrope

TRISTA SUTTER (on The Bachelorette, DWTS, Real Housewives & Love) Apr 21, 2024

Show notes

Trista Sutter, THE Original Bachelorette, Steps Behind The Rope. Trista recalls what it was like when she applied to a not yet known TV show that promised the possibility of meeting the love of your life. How likely is it for someone to find love on TV? With little known Reality TV to compare it to (The Real World and Survivor were two of the only successful Reality Shows around at the time), Trista had no idea what to expect when she was cast and filmed Season One of The Bachelor. Trista explained what it felt like to be the Runner Up and subsequently, very soon thereafter, be given her own show, the uber successful Bachelorette. Trista chats about what it was, and is, like to find real love on National TV and the whirlwind that came after the Bachelorette finale - Oprah, Ellen, runs in with the likes of Elton John and Debra Messing. Oh yea, there was also that other first, being on the first ever season of Dancing With the Stars. We discuss just how much the show has changed since its more innocent days to involve tons more over the top drama and sex. With the recent announcement of Jenn Tran as the new Bachelorette, we figured today the perfect day to share this blast from the past chat.
