    Box Office Overview:

    • Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour debuted to $92.8M in the domestic market, not only the biggest concert film opening of all time, but the second biggest October opening as well. Internationally it grossed $30.7M for a worldwide total opening weekend of $123.5M.
    • The Exorcist: Believer grossed $10.9M domestically, while its international total reached $40M, bringing it to a worldwide total of $84.9M.
    • Paw Patrol: The Mighty Movie followed with $6.8M domestically, bringing the domestic total to $49.7M and the international total of $76M for a combined global total of $126.5M.
    • Saw X saw only a small drop, grossing $5.6M domestically, reaching an international total of $23.5M, and worldwide $64.9M total.
    • The Creator grossed $4.3M domestically. Internationally it reached $46.7M, making its worldwide total $80M.

    With Halloween on the way, Horror titles are battling for the box office between The Exorcist: Believer, Saw X, and The Nun II. While The Exorcist makes its debut, we’re looking to the massive release of Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour Movie, with pre-sales analysis and comparisons to theatrical benchmarks to see how the concert event of the season matches up.

    • The Exorcist: Believer debuted to $27.2M domestically and a further $17.9M internationally for a worldwide total of $45.1M.
    • Paw Patrol: The Mighty Movie came in second adding another $11.8M domestically. It currently sits at a global total of $87.1M.
    • Saw X grossed $8.2M domestically this weekend, bring the domestic total to $32.6M, which sits, $4M ahead of Jigsaw at the same point in its release. Internatioanlly it added $11.3M for a worldwide total of $43.9M.
    • The Creator grossed $6.1M domestically for a domestic cumulative total of $24.9. The international total reached $36.9M, for a worldwide total of $61.8M.
    • The Blind, despite dropping to only 1,314 screens in the domestic market, added $3.2M and sits at a cume of $10.6M.

    The box office is booming again this week with a trio of major releases. We examine the box office results and audience demographics for Saw X, Paw Patrol: The Mighty Movie, and The Creator.     Box Office Overview:

    • Paw Patrol: The Mighty Movie took the top slot at the box office this week, opening to $23M in the domestic market and $23.1M internationally, reaching a worldwide total of $46.1M.
    • Saw X debuted to $18M domestically, well ahead of previous instalment Spiral’s $8.8M. It grossed an additional $11.3M internationally for a worldwide total of $29.3M.
    • The Creator grossed $14M domestically and a further 18.3M from 48 international territories for a global total of $32.3M.
    • The Nun II continued its strong run with another $4.7M domestically, bringing the domestic total to $76.8M. It grossed a further $12.8M internationally, for a current worldwide total of $231.2M.
    • Dumb Money unfortunately only added $3.5M domestically, and now sits at $7.1M total.

    WGA & AMPTP strike an agreement, Expendables struggles Sep 26, 2023

    • The Nun II stayed at the #1 spot in its third week with $8.4M domestically, down 42.2%, and $20.8M internationally, now sitting at a global total of $204.2M.
    • The Expendables 4 in its debut grossed a franchise-low of $8.3M domestically, well behind predictions, which expended between $15-17M. However, in China the film grossed $10.9M in its opening, and its global cume to date sits at $33.9M.
    • A Haunting in Venice grossed $6.3M down 56% domestically, $14.7M internationally, and sits at $71.5M worldwide.
    • Oppenheimer crossed $600M domestically this weekend, reaching $604.8M domestic and a worldwide total of $925.7M.

    • The Nun II had a drop of 55% for $14.7M domestically. Its international total reached $102M for a worldwide total of $159M.
    • A Haunting In Venice opened to $14.3M domestically and $22.7M internationally for a global opening total of $37M.
    • Equaliser 3 grossed $7.2M domestically, a drop of 40% for a $73M cumulative domestic total, $60M international total, and $132M worldwide.
    • My Big Fat Greek Wedding 3 had a drop of 53% from last weekend.
    • Barbie grossed another $3.9M domestically, bringing the domestic total to $626M, and $1.416B worldwide.
    • Jawan added a further $17.7M worldwide to reach a $101M total from 79 territories.

    • The Equaliser 3 grossed $42.5M over the domestic 4-day weekend, making it the 2nd largest Labor Day opening of all time. Internationally it grossed $26.1M from 49 markets, for a worldwide total of $68.1M.
    • Barbie grossed another $10.2M domestically this weekend, bringing its domestic total over $600M.
    • Blue Beetle, in 3rd position, brought in an additional $7M.
    • Gran Turismo dropped 62% from its debut last weekend.
    • Oppenheimer grossed $5.7M domestically, bringing its domestic total to $309M. Oppenheimer also debuted in China for a further $30.2M, including $3M from IMAX.
    • Bottoms, broadening its domestic release, brought in $3.7M over the 4-day weekend.

    • Barbie in its fifth week made a further $15M domestically and $18M internationally, bringing its totals to $593M domestic, $745M international, and $1.34B worldwide.
    • Blue Beetle dropped only 49% from opening weekend, and its domestic total sits at $46M, international total $35M, and worldwide total $81M.
    • Oppenheimer grossed $9M domestically and $29M internationally, for a worldwide cumulative total of $777M.
    • Retribution debuted in 8th position, making $3.35M domestically and $52,000 internationally for a worldwide total of $3.4M.
