Maybe it’s social media or maybe its just facts but the perception that Father’ Day is a second rate holiday next to Mothers’ Day isn’t that false. The question is why? Why do men feel like this and why is the perception seem to be so universal? We have come to realize that men have a lot of issues and in society have been the dominant species for some time. Is there some resentment going on subconsciously? That’s a wide look. What about the individual? We talk about women having “daddy issues” but it some men have the same issues because they seem to lack examples when it comes to love and being a father. So who really has the “daddy issues”? As men start to look at their own mistakes we start to build better men and if we can start reaching out we can starter to building stronger as a whole. Thanks for listening!

Managing Dating Age Dynamics (Bar Talk WIth Jay Ep. 318)
Do you have a preference when it comes to dating age? Before we go in the wrong direction, let's focus on the way that grown people are supposed to work. Going in different directions on the age spectrum can give you pros and cons depending on where you are in your life. It could be stability, it could be to grow or maybe just to have fun and enjoy life. Whatever your preference, age usually plays a factor in our bias of expected behavior and what compromises we are willing to make because of those behaviors. The larger age discrepancies seem to draw the most ire from others. When you look at the situations where people frown upon or may assume dysfunction based on known ages of the parties.(i.e. Tiger King).
Whichever way you fall on the side of age preference whether it be older or younger, you understand for the most part what the fundamental differences are. The thing people see to struggle with is when the age difference causes a difference in lifestyle choices. This friction is much more apparent after cohabitation. After a mistake or two an individual builds a profile based on their life and easily avoids the wrong type of individuals in a given age group.

Dropping The Baggage Of Old Relationships (Bar Talk With Jay Ep. 316) May 28, 2020
    Show notes

Leaving relationships always comes with some scars, some lessons, and some new expectations because there is always something new we will not put up with in the future. There can be a line that some of us can cross where some of these lessons and scars can turn a small reminder into a full PTSD episode. Some of the negative feelings around certain areas of our relationships can cause avoidable situations and can even go as far as ending a relationship all together
Have you gotten accused of treating your new boo like your ex? Do you have wounds that cause you to get labeled unreasonable? Maybe the shoe is on the other foot. You may be dealing with someone you are really into but they keep me showing things that they are not over from the past. Whichever roll you may play, you can agree that for the most part, baggage in this form is unhealthy and should be left at the door.
    Thanks for listening!
