    "Let's talk about flubber" Nov 01, 2019
    Show notes

Jake and Spencer are here to give you guys the preview for what's one of the biggest primetime games to come to Baltimore in a very, very long time: Patriots at Ravens. The boys give you plenty of takes on how they think this one will play out from both a numbers and tape angle, as well as what they're just feeling will take place deep in their loins. Before that though, they have a great guest joining the show this week! That would be Cam Rogers (@MrRogers99) of the Bleav Podcast Network. Cam is a Ravens fan who grew up in the New England area so we figured he'd be perfect to have on to give us a different type of perspective than we're used to seeing. Of course stay tuned to get some takes from the guys on this game, including Spencer's "flubber" nickname for the Greg Roman offense which was... something. Follow the show on Twitter @PodcastBeatdown and it's hosts @Jakelouque and @ravens4dummies and give it a five star review wherever you get your podcasts.

    Deadline disappointment Oct 30, 2019
    Show notes

Jake and Spencer are back after a bye week break and are here to give you guys a quick review of this weekend's action in football, as well as a look at some other transactions that occurred (and didn't) in the last few days. They start things off by opening up a pretty lengthy listener mailbag that takes up most of this one, and close things out with a review of other bits of news, such as the Willie Snead extension, a hypothetical scenario in which Jamal Adams almost became a Raven, and some looks around the division including Andy Dalton's benching in Cincinnati. It's good to be back, and you guys will hear more from us on Friday with our preview of the Patriots coming to town for Sunday Night Football! As always, please leave us a five star rating and a quick review, and follow the show and it's hosts on Twitter @PodcastBeatdown, @Jakelouque, and @ravens4dummies.

Midterm report cards Oct 25, 2019
    Show notes

The guys jump into the studio for something a bit different on this bye week - with the break coming so close to the mid-season mark, they opted to go ahead and do a halfway point review of the team while it was going on. Before jumping into some transaction related news, they get right into it, starting with grades for each offensive position. They then switch over to do the same for the defense, and close things out with special teams. Tune in to this one to get the guys' thoughts on where the team is at, how they think they could improve moving forward, if more trades could be in the works, and (as always) much, much more. Happy bye week y'all!

Sleepless in Seattle Oct 21, 2019
    Show notes

The boys are positively BUZZIN' after what was one of the biggest wins for the Ravens in recent franchise history, and they're here to unleash all of their takes for your listening pleasure on this fine Monday morning. They start things off by taking a look at the offense and specifically, the driving force behind it. That would be Lamar Jackson, who looked every bit the MVP and franchise leader that you'd want him to be in a spot like this. After covering that as well as some other positives (and concerns) with the offense, the guys switch things over to the other side of the ball. Several midseason additions made their mark today with L.J. Fort stuffing the stat sheet, and Marcus Peters doing what he does best (scoring) in his first game in a Ravens uniform. The guys hit on how huge they were in today's victory, and much more including a quick mailbag segment to close things out. Hope you all enjoy (leave a five star review and rating if you do) and follow the show on Twitter @PodcastBeatdown and it's hosts @Jakelouque and @ravens4dummies - victory Monday!

    Week 7 preview Oct 18, 2019
    Show notes

Spencer and Jake are back, this time taking a look ahead to Sunday's 4:25 matchup with the Seahawks in Seattle. The show starts off with a guest centric preview - Brandan Schulze of the Field Gulls Podcast and the Seahawkers Podcast joins the show to give the guys a behind-enemy-lines-perspective on this one, providing an outsiders' take on Lamar Jackson, the Ravens struggling defense, and everything else relevant to the matchup. The guys then provide a preview of their own, looking at player matchups, how the coaching staffs on each side will try to scheme things up, and much more. As always, please rate, subscribe to, and review the show with a five star score, and follow it and it's hosts on Twitter @PodcastBeatdown and @Jakelouque and @ravens4dummies. Have a great weekend everyone!

Marcus Peters emergency podcast Oct 16, 2019
    Show notes

The podcast is here for you guys with a big time Wednesday episode. This one comes in the wake of the Ravens making their biggest mid-season move in recent memory. That would of course be the acquisition of Marcus Peters, which saw them flip Kenny Young and a fifth rounder for the pro bowl cornerback. The guys discuss that and much more thanks to several mailbag submissions and other general topics from around the league to cover, including the Rams grabbing Jalen Ramsey in the aftermath of the Peters trade. Stay tuned for Friday's episode which will be a preview of Sunday's matchup against the Seahawks in Seattle. As always, please rate, subscribe, and review the show wherever you get your podcasts, and follow it and it's hosts on Twitter @PodcastBeatdown, @Jakelouque and @ravens4dummies.

    Week 6 sauce Oct 11, 2019
    Show notes

The guys are back for the third times this week (getting sick of us yet?) this time to preview the Ravens week 6 matchup as the Bengals are coming into town. At 0-5, Cincy seems pretty hapless, but is there reason to believe they could give the Ravens a game on Sunday? Potentially. The guys get into that and break down why in taking a look at the offense, defense, coaching decisions, and even special teams. Also, stay tuned for plenty of hearty discussions on just what it means to have sauce as an NFL player, and if the Ravens need a bit more sauce on their roster (yes, it gets a bit loopy). If you guys enjoy the show, please rate it five stars and subscribe to it wherever you get your podcasts. Also, follow the show on Twitter @PodcastBeatdown, and it's hosts @Jakelouque and @ravens4dummies. Have an awesome weekend, and enjoy the game.

Matt Waldman and Vasilis Lericos Oct 09, 2019
    Show notes

The guys have a jam packed Wednesday episode for you all in the form of two very special guests giving them over a combined hour of interviews. The first is tape guru Matt Waldman (@MattWaldman) who is the creator of the Rookie Scouting Portfolio, the host of the College Draft podcast with Ross Tucker, and a senior writer for Football Guys. Matt is a certified expert on quarterbacks so Jake and Spencer welcomed him on the show to breakdown what he's seen so far from Lamar Jackson, what he's expecting from him moving forward, and much, much more. Friend of the show Vasilis Lericos (@VasilisBeatdown) hops on after that to give the guys a breakdown of what he's seen from the team through the first quarter of the year, dishing on the offense and defense, as well as giving some other thoughts relating to possible trades and the schedule moving forward. If you guys enjoyed the show, please rate, subscribe, and review it and also give it a follow on Twitter @PodcastBeatdown. Follow the hosts @JakeLouque and @ravens4dummies as well, and keep your eyes peeled for later in the week when they'll be back with a preview of the week 6 showdown versus the Cincinnati Bengals.

Three River throwdown with Kyle P. Barber Oct 07, 2019
    Show notes

The boys are back after a huge win pushes the Ravens to 3-2. Baltimore went into Heinz Field needing a win after two losses in a row had their season very much in doubt. The Ravens got the much needed victory, though it was very much light on style points. Jake and Spencer are here to break that down for you by first going through the Sunday night mailbag, and then welcoming on a special guest. Baltimore Beatdown managing editor Kyle P. Barber joins the show in the second half to help the guys parse through this one. They touch on the offense, the defense, and some other general topics (such as the horrible officiating in today's game) and talk through some other stuff such as Tony Jefferson's season ending injury. If you guys like the show, be sure to subscribe to it and leave a five star rating along with a review, and follow it on Twitter @PodcastBeatdown and it's two hosts @Jakelouque and @ravens4dummies (and follow Kyle @BB_KylePBarber). See you guys next week!
