We are picking back up with answering more of your questions! We give our opinions and how we handled seeing family and friends during the newborn stage, tips transitioning from one to two kids, and how long it took us to feel ourselves again (mentally and physically) postpartum. That question leads us into a good discussion about how we are supposed to change and evolve over time, and others saying "you've changed" should be taken as a compliment! We end it with a few more specific questions - what stage was the hardest and the NOT to terrible twos, tips (or lack thereof) for kids out dining, how we like to spend out money and whether to talk to your gym crush!

Happy Thursday BWC! We're frazzled this AM with the never easy task of moms leaving the house - of course Libby has a story of what just transpired before recording started, which evolves into screen time, Ipads, rough play amongst boys, and sibling relationships. We talk about that not-so-new parenting style "FAFO" (F*ck around and find out!) and agree that none of us are the most gentle parents. We talk about the difference between catholic vs. public schools, which route may be the best fit for our children, and why. Delilah had a MAJOR breakup with her pacifier, so we get into that whole discussion of how Liz and Delilah handled that situation like a champ! All up until....the great dog escape at the Fragala household that lead to ticks and injuries! We end this episode talking about "wind down" supplements that have been helping Liz manage her anxiety.

56. Mom squads, confident kids & the Vegas trip neither of us were on Mar 27, 2025

How many stories can we tell in 30 min?! ALOT. Liz survived solo-parenting all while her husband was on a "work trip" in Vegas, following his every move. With a solid community of moms around her, she not only had many helping hands, but she also was thrown a curve ball (in the best way!). She tells us a really heart-warming story about her son being brave and confident, dealing with friendship dynamics head on. Libby wraps it up with the only excitement of her week - the doomsday of her husband opening her packages. We are working on our adult emotions around the kids, so here is your reminder to always apologize for losing your cool around the littles!

Episode 49: The Five Love Languages of Children May 15, 2024

In the past we've talked about love languages, but we just recently read the book "The 5 Love Languages of Children" by Dr. Gary Chapman and Dr. Ross Campbell and we think it is a MUST read for parents. We learned all about what each love language means, how to figure out which one is your child’s specific language, and how us as parents can tweak our behaviors to connect with our kids on a deeper level to keep their love tanks full.

Who knew acts of service, quality time, physical touch, words of affirmation or gift giving could help us relate to and strengthen not only relationships with our partners, but our kids too!

Episode 31: Helicopter Wives Jan 10, 2024

Are you a control freak when it comes to the kids lunches, their outfits, packing for trips, scheduling their day, and delegating chores around the house to Dad? Today we have an NFL Patriots Wife and mom of four, Jenny Belichick! Her husband, Steve Belichick, is the linebackers coach and an incredible dad but Jenny is the real MVP in our eyes. She tells the story of how her and Steve met at college, her family back home in Baltimore, her time playing professional Lacrosse and their beautiful family (Jenny's oldest, Blakely, is almost 7, Hayes is 3, Quincy 1.5, and Rocco is 6 months old). With a husband on the road several months of the year, she opens up on the phases of their marriage, date nights, and how they make the best of their time together as a family of five. So we know you've heard one of Laura's birth stories, but today we get into all the details of Liz & Libby's (and also Laura's!) birth stories. Liz tells us the story about how her water broke & her experience with delivering her first son, JJ. Libby compares her experiences of having both a vaginal (with a little help from a vacuum) and a c-section. Laura thought she had food poisoning but really it’s just her body getting ready for delivery. The three of us all had such different experiences and we share them with you so that you can prepare yourself for one of the best days of your life. Liz explains her "Brady Bunch" family, and the history of her Irish father and Brazilian mom. Her upbringing and childhood is so unique but is a true definition of diversity. Libby talks about her tiny but mighty fam from Rhode Island and the traditions they have together.

This episode starts off with an epic story from Laura (& how her husband found out her breastmilk tasted like cereal, ha!), and some good laughs at ourselves for jinxing the kids’ good sleeping habits. Liz talks about the "hair flip" advice she got from a nutritionist and how she gets back on track with a detox routine she swears by.
We then dive into the topic of this episode, which is all the rules society gives us, and when we see fit for exceptions.
