Brenden Schaeffer discusses a painful loss for the St. Louis Cardinals as Francisco Lindor and the Mets walked it off on Friday night at Citi Field.
That's the seventh road loss of the year for the Cards in only eight games, and it was a frustrating one considering they got a few timely hits (including a clutch home run by Brendan Donovan in the top of the ninth) and decent enough starting pitching from Miles Mikolas.
Frankly, it was the bullpen slowly revealing some cracks that ultimately came back to haunt the Redbirds in this one.
Plus, JJ Wetherholt leaves early with an injury in Springfield.

-He will learn it if he has not already, but Paul Goldschmidt is not doing your celebration, Aaron Judge

We broke down the game, including the performance by Sonny Gray, as well as the makeup of this Cardinal team that lends itself toward needing the exact type of offensive production they are having so far--and they're near a National League record as a result of that production.
