    As Oath, a Verizon company, prepared for GDPR compliance during integration of AOL and Yahoo! Internet properties, a global user consent and terms of service application was developed and deployed. The cloud-native service was deployed across multiple AWS Regions globally and leveraged Amazon DynamoDB global tables to enable data synchronization.     GE Aviation sells $1.7B annually in parts and services through a customer portal called myGEAviation. To enhance its customers' experience, the portal enables users to input specific variables and build custom reports for later viewing. These applications, plotting, and data-query were experiencing issues with cost, scalability, and performance. In this session, GE discusses how it rearchitected plotting and data-query to resolve those issues by using Amazon DynamoDB.

Visibility into database performance is difficult due to a wide range of incomplete tools that can be difficult to install, configure, and maintain. While these tools may provide a wide range of statistics, they lack a standard methodology for analyzing the statistics to identify performance problems. In this session, learn how Amazon Relational Database Service (Amazon RDS) changes this by providing database performance monitoring that is automatically configured, easy to use, and based on a clear actionable methodology.
