    MLB, NBA, NHL, & CBB Picks & Predictions on Freestyle Friday January 22, 2021 Jan 22, 2021

    Host Adam Burke put a lot into a short amount of time on this edition of ATS Radio to round out the week. He talked MLB, NBA, NHL, and college basketball on the program, starting with some thoughts on recent MLB transactions like the Francisco Lindor trade and the signing of George Springer. He also teased this year’s 2021 MLB Betting Guide, which will be released in late February.
    On the NBA, NHL, and college hoops sides of the spectrum, Adam did some Buy & Sell with a buy team and a sell team for both Friday and Saturday in the pro leagues. There are some good situational spots and matchup spots in the NBA and NHL for those two nights and Adam gave the reasons why he has those thoughts. On the college basketball side, Adam had two sell spots for Friday and two buy spots for Saturday that should sound enticing to listeners.

    Host Adam Burke was back on the airwaves on Thursday to chat with pro bettor and handicapper Brad Powers from BradPowersSports.com. Adam and Brad got right down to business looking at Buccaneers vs. Packers and Bills vs. Chiefs as the NFL Playoffs take center stage on Sunday. The guys took a deep dive into how to interpret the previous head-to-head matchups between those teams and also about the lines and where they are going for this weekend’s action. They also talked about look-ahead lines for Super Bowl LV.
    Adam and Brad also talked about the importance of market entry and line value in the college basketball betting world. Conference specialization is a major talking point of ours and we got Brad’s thoughts on the topic as well. College basketball presents a lot of daily betting opportunities for those that can watch and interpret the markets and that was the main focus of this part of the show.

    Football and basketball were the primary focuses on today’s edition of ATS Radio. Host Adam Burke welcomed back Kiev O’Neil from The Oddsbreakers to chat about the NFC Championship Game and the AFC Championship Game. The guys gave their thoughts on Buccaneers vs. Packers and Bills vs. Chiefs on both side and total, but Kiev also added some player props analysis based on the matchups and how the games could play out.
    On the college basketball side, Adam and Kiev talked about conference specialization and the importance of narrowing your focus for a variety of different reasons. Whether you have time constraints or just want to attempt to beat the market and get closing line value, focusing on certain conferences is a great idea. In that same spirit, the guys talked about the Big Ten, with some interesting trends in conference play and then thoughts on Rutgers vs. Penn State, Indiana vs. Iowa, and Michigan vs. Purdue.

    Host Adam Burke was happy to chat once again with Brian Blessing on the NFC Championship Game and the AFC Championship Game to start the show. The guys went in-depth on Buccaneers vs. Packers and Bills vs. Chiefs to hit on a lot of different topics and talking points for the two games. They gave side and total thoughts early in the week and discussed what bettors should be looking for as they handicap the games.
    On the NHL side, Adam and Brian talked about early-season parity with the back-to-back games and how to handicap those scenarios. That also led the guys down a discussion about analytics and some box score nuggets that could lead to the creation of betting edges in the second game. Lastly, The American Express is this week at PGA West and Adam and Brian shared some quick picks and handicapping tips for the tournament.

    Host Adam Burke and pro bettor and handicapper Kyle Hunter got together with some early thoughts on Buccaneers vs. Packers and Bills vs. Chiefs to start out the show. The guys talked about the early lines and their early leans for the NFC Championship and AFC Championship before turning the show fully over to college basketball.
    On the basketball side, Adam and Kyle looked at back-to-backs and how to look for box score outliers. They talked about key injuries. Then they talked about regression candidates and fade or follow teams with a bunch of great talking points and angles that you can use to get some value out of playing teams in all sorts of different conferences. As far as games, the guys hit on Alabama vs. LSU, Richmond vs. St. Bonaventure, SIU Edwardsville vs. Tennessee State, Jacksonville State vs. Murray State, and Eastern Washington vs. Northern Colorado.

The guys hit the NFL Playoffs to start the program with some thoughts on the Wild Card Round and how those pertain to this weekend’s Divisional Round. Rams vs. Packers, Ravens vs. Bills, Browns vs. Chiefs, and Buccaneers vs. Saints all got some airtime on the program with picks and predictions from both guys.
    On the NHL side of things, the season begins on Wednesday night, but Adam and Brian had to get their thoughts out there about the West Division and then the East Division with some futures prices and some other NHL betting tips. The guys wrapped up the show talking golf with the Sony Open in Hawaii and several picks for outright winner and prop bets that they like for this week’s PGA Tour event.

    Host Adam Burke and pro bettor and handicapper Kyle Hunter joined listeners for a little over an hour to talk about the College Football Playoff National Championship and how things stand in the college basketball world. Adam and Kyle discussed Ohio State vs. Alabama, with thoughts on the side, total, and some of the derivative markets, and also gave out a couple of player prop bets each for tonight’s game. They talked about the importance of shopping around for the best prices on the player props as well.
    On the college basketball side, Adam and Kyle looked first at some key injuries from around the country before focusing on some regression candidates. When all was said and done, the guys had a list of some good fade teams for listeners, including South Alabama, UTEP, and Southern Miss. They also looked at some follow teams that could have some betting value and then touched on Wisconsin vs. Michigan, Eastern Michigan vs. Toledo, Austin Peay vs. UT-Martin, and San Diego State at Utah State before signing off for the day.
