Announcement: Baby Number FIVE! Apr 18, 2023

I have some exciting news to share with you all! Can you believe it? We're expecting baby number five!
Now, I know some of you might have seen this coming, but trust me, the decision-making process was far from easy. In fact, I spent months searching for a sign that would help me determine which direction to take. And you know what? I finally found my answer, but little did I know, there was a curveball waiting for me that I could never have anticipated.

Join me as I share my story of unexpected challenges and newfound joy. I'll take you through my decision-making process, some of the unforeseen lows where I began to question my ability to handle it all, as well as the highs of peace and complete surprise. While it didn’t go as planned, through it all, I found the strength to appreciate what I had and stay true to my purpose. So, whether you're a mom of one or six, or even if you're still figuring out your own story, I promise you'll find inspiration in this episode.

Today I’m going to talk about a subject that is very prevalent in today’s culture, and that is overstimulation. For parents and moms, your environment can be very stimulating and frankly, chaotic. We fight busy schedules, hundreds of toys, and a million questions a day, so it’s easy for life to feel hectic and out of control. But the problem is when I see women accepting the overstimulation and stress as thinking “Oh well, that’s just the way it is.”

I’m here to tell you that it doesn't have to be that way! As a mom of FOUR BOYS, I’ve had to do my fair share of work to combat the chaos to find a rhythm of life that’s enjoyable and helps me to thrive. I want to share with you some key components to my strategy that I know are going to you help you nail down a rhythm that works for you!

Why Relatable Motherhood Content Isn’t Always Good for You Dec 06, 2022

I’m anxious to share my thoughts on a reel I recently posted that was met with some controversy about why I don’t relate to women who complain about motherhood. Which got me thinking about how relatable content isn’t always good for us!

As moms, we often find ourselves mindlessly scrolling through social media or filling our minds with videos that don’t really challenge us to grow as human beings. In the name of relatability, moms take to the internet to commiserate about the real challenges and hardships they’re facing, but without any constructive goal in mind. The result? A severe increase in mental depression, anxiety, and unhealthy habits, which are not helping us in motherhood.

How to Change Directions the RIGHT Way Nov 01, 2022

Are you at a crossroads in your life? Do you feel stuck with your current situation? Have you been forced to make a change, and don’t like the direction it is headed? In this episode, I will break down the difference between a pivot and reinvention. A pivot is when you are forced to change by external market demands or factors, while reinvention is led by the individual. Learn why pivoting can be a BAD thing, especially in entrepreneurship, and use these FOUR questions to ask yourself to get back on the track. This goes back to business basics!

The life of an entrepreneur, you always hear this term “pivot”. When I was in business school I heard the term often in my entrepreneurship program. The goal of the class was to start a company with an idea, to participate in heavy customer interviews and feedback and based on the feedback, you’d pivot or not.
At the end of the class, my professor said he was bummed out because of the students he had, very rarely did those students ever persist in taking their businesses to the next level. Very rarely did they launch their businesses.
At the time I created my own startup - it was a baby box company where parents would try different kinds of products before they committed to a purchase. And like the others, I never persisted in the startup.

There is a distinction between pivoting and reinvention

THE FUNDAMENTAL DIFFERENCE: A pivot is the universe or a market or wherever taking us where it wants to take us, while reinvention is us telling ourselves where we want to go. There is a key difference, and I’d argue that you must focus on the latter if you want to be successful.
When there is a market change that requires us to pivot, we must ask ourselves if we are in alignment. I’ve mapped out four questions to ask yourself if you need to reinvent rather than pivot…

Do I feel joyful?
Does the pivot feel in alignment with your current set of values?
Is my pivot in alignment with my overall vision?
Is this life-work a statement of myself?

Once you identify that you’re on the wrong track, then what? How to go for a successful pivot.
