Show notes

Hear all about how Scott Lang is the poster boy for criminal justice reform, more discussion about Hank Pym's EMP than the filmmakers themselves probably had, and this movie's shocking connection to a Tim Allen holiday classic.

Guardians of the Galaxy Oct 04, 2019

Show notes

Buckle up, because Assembly Required is headed to space for the most out-there Marvel movie yet, GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY! Eduardo, Peach3z, Chris, and Robbie sit down to talk about the Marvel Cinematic Universe's biggest gamble outside of THE AVENGERS. Who wants to see a movie about an angry space raccoon? Turns out, a lot of people. They discuss the jokes and soundtrack that reel you in, the emotional core that makes you care about this bunch of weirdos, and which Guardian is just a murderous Amelia Bedelia. BOHBILLY BOHBILLY!

The Lady Sound (Angela) once again joins Eduardo, Peach3z, Chris, and Robbie as they discuss arguably one of the best films in the entire Marvel Cinematic Universe, CAPTAIN AMERICA: THE WINTER SOLDIER. Show notes

We've finished Phase 1 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, so now we're going to take a break from looking back to take a look forward at what's to come! Eduardo and Peach3z are on vacation, and Robbie is off on a secret mission, so Chris makes it a family affair by bringing back his wife Angela to act as guest host and inviting his brother Danny to join in on the fun! The three take a look at all of Marvel's big Comic-Con announcements about their Phase 4 film and Disney+ slate. Come for the speculation, stay for the irony of hearing their excitement for future Spider-Man films, not knowing that that dream would be crushed mere days after recording!

The Avengers (Part 2) Aug 23, 2019

Show notes

Turns out splitting THE AVENGERS into a two-parter was a great idea, because Eduardo, Peach3z, Chris, and Robbie apparently have a LOT of thoughts. Join them as they discuss their favorite moments from the second half of the film, including the Battle of New York, the purple man in the floating chair, and shawarma.

The Avengers (Part 1) Aug 16, 2019

Show notes

It's all been building up to this: Eduardo, Peach3z, Chris, and Robbie discuss THE AVENGERS, the culmination of what we now know as Phase 1 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. A movie that brought together heroes from four separate superhero franchises for the first time (and became the first film to gross over $200 million in its opening weekend) can't be confined to just one episode, so this is only part one of the discussion. Stay tuned next week for the conclusion!
