After being inducted into The Illinois State University Hall of Fame in 2017, Rae was awarded the 2018 First Place Henry Ford Teacher Innovator Award for her innovative educational impact through the Teach Further Model. Additionally, Rae serves on several Educational Boards including the role of Vice President with the Association of Illinois Middle Schools (AIMS). Rae conducts training on a variety of topics including the Teach Better Mindset, Dynamic Lesson Planning, Community Relationship Building, Student Engagement, Targeted Feedback Strategies, Mastering Personalized Learning. and Educator Empowerment.

    About Dr. Joe Sanfelippo:

    Dr. Joe Sanfelippo is the Superintendent of the Fall Creek School District in Fall Creek, WI. The Fall Creek School District was named an Innovative District in 2016 and 2017 by the International Center for Leadership in Education. Joe holds a BA in Elementary and Early Childhood Education from St. Norbert College, a MS in Educational Psychology from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, a MS in Educational Leadership, and a PhD in Leadership, Learning, and Service from Cardinal Stritch University. Joe is also an adjunct professor in the Educational Leadership Department at Viterbo University. Joe has taught Kindergarten, 2nd Grade, and 5th Grade. He was also a school counselor and high school coach prior to taking on an elementary principal position in 2005. He has served as a principal in suburban and rural Wisconsin. Joe started the #1minwalk2work Leadership Challenge, and co-authored The Power of Branding-Telling Your School's Story, Principal Professional Development: Leading Learning in a Digital Age and Hacking Leadership: 10 Ways Great Leaders Inspire Learning That Teachers, Students and Parents Love. He was selected as 1 of 117 Future Ready Superintendents in 2014 and 1 of 50 Superintendents as a Personalized Learning Leader in 2016 by the US Department of Education. He attended summits at the White House for both distinctions. Education Dive named Joe 1 of 5 K-12 administrators to watch in 2018 and their National Superintendent of the Year in 2019. He has been a featured speaker in multiple states in the areas of Advancing the Use of Social Media for School Leaders, Telling Your School Story, Creating a Culture of Yes, and Personalized Professional Growth for Staff. He also serves as an equity advocate through his work with Great Expectations Mentoring, Chicago Public School's Office of Equity, and The City of Chicago's Equity Office. Charles is the host of The Counter Narrative Podcast, a show designed to challenge the dominant narrative that often negatively portrays our disenfranchised populations. He is also the co-host of Inside the Principal's Office, a bi-monthly show featuring educational leaders from around the world. She served on numerous committees, mentored new staff and was an advisor for the classes of 2009 and 2018 and the Jostens Renaissance program. Today, she serves as the Coordinator of Admissions and Strategic Marketing and Equity Specialist for a career and technical school in New Jersey. Michele also serves on the advisory board for SchoolRubric. Michele has developed and implemented professional development with a sharp focus on diversity, equity and inclusion, engaging students, and educational leadership. Michele has authored numerous articles published in the area of education, as well as co-authored 100 No-nonsense Things that Teachers All Teachers Should Stop Doing, and now is the co-author of Fired Up Teachership. Michele is a champion for students and staff; her enthusiasm and positive energy is contagious! Michele completed her undergraduate studies at LaSalle University and then went on to acquire two master degrees, one from LaSalle in Bilingual Studies and the other from Wilmington University in School Leadership. She is the mother of four children: Zachary, Victoria, Julia and Jennifer — and the Nonni of 4 grandsons: Michael, Dean, Julian and Vincent.
