Stephanie Charles from Tyler Perry's New Original Series RUTHLESS Mar 19, 2020

We introduce the beautiful and talented Stephanie Charles from Tyler Perry’s and BET+ new series, RUTHLESS. Stephanie plays one of the lead characters, “Sarah,” a very vulnerable, yet strong woman. She is the wife of “Andrew,” (Blue Kimble) and FBI agent that went undercover to investigate an extremist cult. “Sarah” (Stephanie Charles) gets a little suspicious and worried since her husband has not checked in with her since he went undercover. As time continues to go by, “Sarah” starts to take matters in her own hands and as the series goes on you will see “Sarah” do things to save her marriage and her family while discovering many mysterious situations that leave the audience in “ah!.”
Tyler Perry’s Ruthless is a one-hour riveting story of a young woman who becomes entangled into a scandalous cult of powerful sex-crazed fanatics. Who must not play along with until she can find a way to free herself for her young daughter. Starring not only Stephanie Charles, but along side, Melissa L. Williams (“Tyler Perry’s The Oval”), Matt Cedeño, (“Power”), Lenny Thomas (“The Blacklist”) and many others. Set to air March 19th, will be the first 24-episode one-hour drama and will be available to stream with new episodes launching every Thursday. This is the first new original series from TYLER PERRY to stream on BET+, a joint venture between BET Networks and Tyler Perry Studios.
You many also recognize Stephanie Charles from the comedic series, The Paynes, by Tyler Perry and the OWN Network. Stephanie played one of the daughters to “Curtis” and “Ella,” an early to mid 20’s woman, who is beautiful, intelligent and outgoing , but is a very naive single mother. “Nyla," who volunteers at her church and after school programs, she is trapped into an abusive relationship, but finds solace in her church and is more interested in helping others and helping herself.
Stephanie was born in Boston, Massachusetts to Haitian parents. When she was 2 years old she moved to Haiti to live with her grandmother. In Haiti she learned how to speak both English and Haitian Creole.
She then moved to Los Angeles when she was 7 years old and grew up in the LA area. From a young age, Stephanie loved performing arts and excelled at singing, acting and dance. She really got the acting bug when she was 12 years old and would perform scenes from movies with her little brother for her family and anyone who would watch. When she was 16 she booked her first professional acting jobs, a commercial for JC Penny and Churches Chicken. Soon after that she booked her first role on a TV show, City Guys. After that she never turned back and knew acting is what she loved and wanted to do.
Stephanie’s love for music and singing also became very prevalent in her life in her later teens and early 20’s. In 2007, Stephanie put acting on hold and moved to New York City for music. She formed an R&B/Hip Hop girl group called MRZ. Smith and they were signed to the Universal/Motown label. They were in New York for about two years and then the label moved them to Atlanta for another year and a half. After the group broke up, Stephanie moved back to Los Angeles to fully pursue acting full time.
Since her move back to LA, Stephanie has been working consistently in television, film and digital projects. Some of her recent highlights include roles on Hometown Hero, NCIS, Instant Mom, The Start Up, Adulterers, Bones and many more. Some of Stephanie’s artistic influences include Regina Hall, Angelina Jolie, Jada Pinnkett-Smith, Beyonce, Brandy, Janet Jackson and Michael Jackson.When Stephanie has free time, she enjoys bike rides at the beach, dancing and singing at local venues.

FOX’s Flirty Dancing Star Leah Hawkins Mar 05, 2020

Recently having made an appearance on FOX’s newest reality show “Flirty Dancing,” Leah Hawkins is an actress and dancer who is taking the entertainment industry by storm with every performance. Hosted by Jenna Dewan, “Flirty Dancing” is a show that attempts to bring two strangers together through the language of dance. In the show, strangers each learn half of a dance routine, meet and go on a blind date at a beautiful location where they dance together to see if there is chemistry. In the season finale of the dancing competition, Leah was able to demonstrate both her dancing skills and build chemistry with her on-screen counterpart.
Leah was born and raised in Kansas City, Missouri and danced competitively up until the age of five. She began taking ballet classes at the Ibsen Dance Theater in Missouri where she found her second home. “Growing up, I always danced around in the living room or would perform scenes from Disney movies on the fireplace,” Leah said.
She went on to graduate from Missouri State University with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in acting. A few months later, she decided to move to Los Angeles and take her talents directly to the heart of the business. Making her on-camera debut in “Flirty Dancing” it allowed Leah to express herself with her two favorite things: dancing and acting.
When she is not practicing her craft, Leah is looking forward to getting involved with various charities that support pet rescue and environmental concerns. Due to her sister being audibly impaired, Leah Hawkins can communicate via sign language.

Award winning-actress Ai-Chan Carrier, best known for her roles on CBS’s “Training Day” and Disney’s “The Lion Guard” stars in the new Disney+ film, TIMMY FAILURE: MISTAKES WERE MADE. This Disney+ film is the only Disney film to ever appear at the Sundance Film Festival. TIMMY FAILURE began streaming on Disney+ beginning February 7, 2020.
Acting as the role of Corrina Corrina, described in the books as Timmy Failure’s primary antagonist. She is an intelligent, charming, and delightful girl although Timmy believes otherwise. Ai-Chan will star in the movie alongside other reputable cast members including Craig Robinson (DOLEMITE IS MY NAME, FOX’s “Brooklyn Nine-Nine”), Chloe Coleman (HBO’s “Big Little Lies”), and Winslow Fegley (ABC’s “The Good Doctor”).

Charles Lott Jr. talks The Way Back Feb 27, 2020

Starring alongside Ben Affleck, Charles Lott Jr. will appear in the upcoming film THE WAY BACK set to release March 6, 2020. The film centers on an ex-basketball star’s struggle with his past alcoholism as he coaches his alma mater’s basketball team. THE WAY BACK allowed Lott to gain wisdom from his experience on set and his relationship with Affleck.
Although Lott has already achieved landing a starring role in a feature film, he still has plenty of goals he wants to reach as his career progresses. “There are so many things that I want to accomplish, but I just try to take it one step at a time,” Lott said. “I want to be able to show versatility in films, I want to be able to do comedies, drama, romcoms, even animation. I want to be able to just do everything. I want to be a Swiss army knife in terms of in the industry, being the Jack of all trades.”
Lott is surely on the road to achieving these goals, as he dedicates his free time to further his study of film and acting. “When I’m not acting, I spend a lot of time at the movie theaters, I go to the movies a lot. I’m a weirdo like I’ll tell people I went to the movies and they’ll be like, ‘Who did you go with?’ Like what? Me!”
As someone new to the entertainment industry Lott takes every opportunity to learn from his fellow actors. In addition to forging a relationship with Affleck, he became incredibly close with his on-screen teammates; especially after their rigorous practice schedule when preparing for their roles as basketball players.
Charles Lott Jr. did not expect to follow the path of an actor but that is what the universe had in store for him. He plays football and has always dreamt of being a professional athlete. If that didn’t work out he had his backup plan to be a business owner. However, Lott was meant for something different. “I’ve always had comparisons throughout my career that I will be the next Will Smith from casting directors and other people, so it was definitely something I had in the back of my mind and I always loved movies and cinematography.”

Sweet Vegan grew out of my love of creating healthy and delicious treats for people I care about. Although for most of my life I couldn’t imagine running my own food company, my journey to doing so began in an Indiana kitchen, learning to cook and bake from my maternal grandmother, Georgia.
While all my chocolates are vegan, nut-free, dairy-free, and gluten-free, they’re not just for vegans or those with food allergies.
I’ve dedicated myself to creating great tasting chocolates. I eliminate everything that gets in the way of experiencing the true flavor of chocolate and combine real fruit and fresh ingredients. Sweet Vegan chocolates are for anyone who really loves chocolate.

Demetria McKinney Talks ‘Motherland: Fort Salem’ on Freeform Feb 24, 2020

The multi-talented Demetria McKinney from FREEFORM much anticipated new series, “MOTHERLAND: Fort Salem,” who plays ‘Anacostia’ – an articulate, tough and smart sergeant, whose sole focus is keeping the young recruits alive through their basic training. The show is set to debut in March 18th, 2020. Set in an alternate America where witches ended their persecution 300 years ago by cutting a deal with the U.S. government to fight for their country, Motherland: Fort Salem follow these young women from basic training in combat magic into early deployment. In this world, the traditional roles of gender and power are flipped, with the more dominant women on the front lines fighting looming terrorist threats that are familiar to our world — but with supernatural tactics and weapons. The series not only stars Demetria, but talents like, Taylor Hickson, Ashley Nicole, Amalia Holm and many others.
Demetria, a triple threat in the truest sense of the term, a vocal powerhouse, an award-winning actress, a skillful songwriter and a trend setter. Demetria has played many diverse roles on both the big and small screen. She is showing us why she is making her mark on your TV screens, in movie theaters and on stage. She is also concurrently recurring on BounceTV’s, “Saints & Sinners” and “A House Divided” for UMC. You may also recognize McKinney from her role as ‘Janine Payne’ on the hit TBS sitcom “Tyler Perry’s House of Payne”, which produced over 250 episodes and received five NAACP Image Awards for Best Sitcom. The show now airs in syndication on BET Networks.
From Albuquerque, New Mexico to a Military family, Demetria has lived all over the world and was given a drive that resembled that of her parents growing up. Her work ethic, way of life and how she sees life is that of her relationships with her family. Finding an interest in theater since she was little, Demetria decided to go to Okaloosa Walton Community College to study theater, where she took part in different theatrical plays outside and inside the college circuit. However, she didn’t finish her degree because other opportunities came calling her name, one being Mr. Tyler Perry. Mr. Perry discovered her in a play that was touring called, “The Woman I am Today,” which she will say “kick started” her career.
McKinney also worked with Tyler on his stage play, “Meet the Browns” and went on to star in several of his other plays including “What’s Done in The Dark”, “Why Did I Get Married?” and “Madea’s Family Christmas”. Her additional stage work includes leading roles in the plays “The Mountaintop”, “Church Girl”, the musical “I Dream” (in which she portrayed Mrs. Coretta Scott King) and “Dreamgirls”, where she performed alongside the legendary Jennifer Holliday.
Demetria always makes time for her first love: music. In October 2017, she released her debut album Officially Yours, featuring the single Easy which was a top 5 hit on the Billboard and Urban AC radio charts. Demetria has opened on tour for R&B mainstays including Tyrese, BBD, Tank, and Fantasia. She received a 2017 NAACP Image Award nomination for Outstanding New Artist.
For Fun, Demetria loves spending time with her son, taking in a good movie, traveling and even painting art. She is very passionate about cancer research, due to her father, a cancer survivor. On top of that, she spends time in the women empowerment space, especially with young African American Women of Our Communities, which plays a big role in her life, sexual abuse, homelessness and Earth Awareness.
