A Happy Lappy Christmas is Caroline Henrich’s first book. She lives with her husband Steve and her son Christopher in Kennett Square, Pennsylvania. Henrich is an attorney who has worked at several large companies during her career, and a life-long animal lover. While working with a Norwegian company, she fell in love with a Finnish Lapphund named Leo. She and her husband later added two to their family and both became therapy dogs. These two Finish Lapphunds later had puppies, seven boys and one girl. Henrich and her husband also own a rescue dog named Brandi. This big family which is full of love has also had its challenges. Attempting to take care of the puppies at four months old, Steve fell down a flight of stairs, the accident left him disabled. Together they have moved forward and their journey inspired her to write this book focusing on love, strength, and determination.

About Rashan Ali:
With a passion for all things media and empowering young women, Rashan Ali is as a formidable and revered personality within the sports and entertainment industries. She believes in “Doing Media Differently.”
While attending Florida A & M University as a Broadcast Journalism major, Rashan knew that she wanted to share her voice with the world, and set out on a quest to make that happen. She became heavily involved in the entertainment scene in Atlanta, working for LaFace Records and as the personal assistant to the late Lisa ‘Left Eye’ Lopes. Rashan entered a contest searching for new talent on Atlanta radio station HOT 107.9 FM and was hand- picked from over 500 applicants to join popular radio personality Ryan Cameron on-air.
Her charisma and grace appealed to millions of listeners, which quickly propelled the program’s rating into the #1 position during its 6-10 AM time slot. She then went on to become the host of the “A-Team” Morning Show on the same station. Rashan’s journey in radio came full circle in 2010 when she reunited with Ryan Cameron for a year as the co-host of The Ryan Cameron Show on V-103 FM, Atlanta’s #1 urban formatted station. She later joined new hip hop station 94.5 as the host of “The Streetz Morning Grind” in 2012.
Rashan’s unique perspective and passion for sports has resulted in side- line reporting for the Atlanta Hawks (2005 – 2009), the Southern Conference Sports Network (2011), the Atlanta Football Classic for NBC Sports Network (2011-2012), college football and basketball for CBS Sports Network (2012-2015) and for the Chick-Fil-A Bowl Preview Show, which aired on ESPN 2 and ESPN U. She was also the Social Media Correspondent for NBA TV’s “GameTime” during the NBA Playoffs (2010 – 2013) and worked on the network’s show “Fantasy In- sider” in the same capacity for two seasons. Ali hosted Atlanta and Company After Noon on NBC (Atl), Under Armour Highlights of the week on the NFHS Network and “HBCU Playback” on Aspire TV.
She free- lanced for CNN and HLN’s Bleacher Report. and served as the co-host of “Rise Up Weekly” on Atlanta’s CW 69 for four seasons. Ali also free- lanced as a sports anchor on NBA TV. She is the host of her own pod- cast, “The Cool Soror Podcast” which explores the stories of women and men in black, greek lettered organizations. She has since expanded the brand incorporating all “Cool People.” Rashan formerly served as one of four co-hosts on “Sister Circle” – a nationally syndicated talk show on TV One, which ran for three seasons.
Ali remains involved in countless charities and organizations.
She is an active member of the Pi Alpha Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. and she serves on an international committee for the oldest black, greek lettered sorority. In 2006, she founded Sporty Girls, Inc., a non-profit organization that encourages personal growth through participation in non-traditional sports like golf, tennis, soccer, swimming and lacrosse. Sporty Girls, Inc. has made an indelible impact on young, female athletes through her Camp Elite, Sporty Tract to Scholarship, Get Girls Sporty and Sporty Clinics programs.
Sporty Girls has served more than 1,500 girls through- out the Metro-Atlanta area. She serves on the Board of Directors for Rising Media Stars, an organization that grooms young women to pursue careers in sports journalism. Ali is also the author of a delightful children’s book entitled, “Piper Sky’s Pink Popsicle Shoes.”

Virtual Theme Park: Sea Monster Cove Nov 04, 2020

Steve Alten, NY Times bestselling author of The MEG opens up about his virtual theme park Sea Monster Cove. We discuss why he became an author, how The Meg actually came about and the mystical world they created virtually. I visited Sea Monster Cove recently and it was absolutely incredible! It’s a COVID-safe trip for the whole family.
About: Visitors can expect the unexpected at www.SeaMonsterCove.com, a revolutionary new multimedia entertainment concept. The site will serve as the central hub for several prehistoric shark and sea creature ventures, including a remote learning platform and museum, and will soon add a video game where members piloting submersibles can track and capture apex marine predators inhabiting a 380-million-year-old prehistoric aquifer located 2.1 miles beneath the Pacific Ocean.
The website will feature an original episodic TV series called Where Sea Monsters Roam, written by Steve Alten, the website’s creator. If you saw the blockbuster movie, The MEG, starring Jason Statham, then you may be familiar with the author’s work.
Of his soon-to-be 20 published thrillers, eight are part of his best-selling MEG series and three more are from a Loch Ness trilogy (Alten is currently working on book 3, The LOCH: Heaven’s Lake which can only be purchased by pre-ordering signed hardbacks at www.SteveAlten.com). The LOCH movie as well as MEG 2: The TRENCH are expected to go into production in 2021.
All of the action and virtual visits at SeaMonsterCove.com take place on Maug, a remote (and very real) island in the Western Pacific. Maug's volcano erupted 5 million years ago; today all that remains are three uninhabited islets that had been the volcano’s rim and a flooded magma chamber that serves as its lagoon. Why place a virtual island resort here? That's where
Alten's research and storytelling take over. Eight years ago, French marine biologist Dr. Maxime Rostand discovered superheated mineral water rising up through Maug’s lagoon. Through a series of events, including an emergency C-section which saved two pups of a deceased pregnant prehistoric Mako shark, Rostand discovers the source of the hot mineral water to be a primordial aquifer located 2 miles beneath the sea floor — its inhabitants dating back 380 million years.
Having established the backstory about how these toothy creatures managed to escape extinction (the “home videos” of the two surviving pups growing up is MUST-SEE), it’s time to meet and interact with the critters. Imagine the greatest aquarium-themed park ever conceived, holding the most terrifying prehistoric sharks and sea monsters that ever lived. It’s not hard to do.
At Sea Monster Cove, the special effects are motion picture-worthy, and the wildlife doesn’t just swim around in benign circles; in fact, they seem quite aware that you are watching them, and they clearly do not like it, especially when you enter their domain to do a little “cage diving.” In each of these heart-pounding, 360-degree experiences, the user controls the viewing angle, attempting to track the attacks as they happen (there are day and night versions available). The action is nonstop and the creatures so real that it is easy to lose yourself in a two-hour reprieve from reality.
The adventure is retold and advanced in Alten’s original TV series, Where Sea Monsters Roam, the episodes of which will be posted at SeaMonsterCove.com. Most unique: what happens in the series also happens during your aquarium visits. As an example, if Snowflake, the park’s 63-foot, 25-ton prehistoric albino Mako drags a crane into her tank in the opening episode, don’t be surprised to see it lying on the bottom of her tank in your next visit!
One of the most popular features may just turn out to be CELEBRITY CAMEOS — the first one featuring James “Murr” Murray. The Impractical Jokers star’s new novel, DON’T MOVE (Blackstone Publishing), co-written by Darren Wearmouth, recently made its debut.

Kjersti Long is NOT YOUR PRINCESS Nov 02, 2020

I would love to introduce you to one of the newest rock-pop prodigies, Kjersti Long (pronounced, 'care-stee.') This 13-year-old singer-songwriter is about to show why she is going to leave her mark in the music industry. Her new single, “Not Your Princess,” is coming to fans, radio waves and streaming services, in multiple versions — Rock-Pop, Pop, Club Radio Mix, and an Extended Club Mix-so that fans will be able to get a version that speaks to them.
At the age of nine 9 New York City native, Kjersti wrote her first original song, “Rollercoaster,” about struggles with anxiety and overcoming her own personal struggles. At age 11, she was headlining at the iconic rock club The Bitter End in NYC and now she is releasing her first single, “Not Your Princess.”
Kjersti, is a gifted storyteller and a deep thinker. She has unusual ways of spinning the dialog to express feelings listeners
of all ages can relate to. Fans who buy the record get three other versions. “Not Your Princess” speaks to listeners about choosing their own path and being who they want to be, despite being told they should fit into a certain stereotypical box.
These empowering and thought-provoking lyrics are delivered by a powerhouse vocalist, and to hear them coming from such a young human artist is nothing less than incredible. Kjersti has had many musical inspirations along her way. Her second release will be (release date TBS) will be a cover of ‘The Beatles, "Eleanor Rigby." Her unique arrangement is perfect for current times.
Kjersti has performed at the most iconic rock venues in the country, including The Apollo (NYC), The Velour (Utah), House of Blues (SD) and The Stone Pony (NJ), as well as selling out a standing-room-only headlining events at The Bitter End (NYC) and The Delancey (NYC). She has written and performed with Grammy-nominated and winning artists and recorded with Grammy-winning producers in New York and Nashville.
Onstage and or in the studio, Kjersti Long works alongside the best in the industry. At her artist launch in NYC at the age of 11, Broadway World reported, “From the start, Long did not disappoint. Ann and Nancy Wilson would be proud.” And they went on, “... closing with Led Zeppelin's ‘Stairway To Heaven,’ a signature cover, Long brought the house down. The audience was left mesmerized and wondering how what they just saw was even possible.”
When asked what she wants her music to represent, Kjersti says, “I want to offer contemplative and intense moments in my concerts, so when people experience my music, they truly feel something and we can share an emotional bond. I want to empower girls, teens and young women. I want everyone to know that we can be strong and powerful and stand up for ourselves. Performing with my band, I feel electrified, and I want to share that energy and connect to my fans on so many levels.”
