Dolphins Draft Guide: Everything You Need to Know About the 2024 Quarterback Class Feb 16, 2024

Show notes

This marks the first weekend without football, which means it's time to dig deeper into the 2024 NFL Draft Class. Today's show is dedicated to the quarterbacks, and we'd be wrong to ignore the recent report mentioning Tua Tagovailoa's next contract could be worth at least $55 million annually.

We start the show by looking at Miami's quarterback room, and how things could change if Tagovailoa gets his long-term extension. From there, we break the 2024 draft class into groups, starting with Caleb Williams, Jayden Daniels, and Drake Maye at the top — before highlighting a few quarterbacks the Dolphins could chase later in the draft.

From Today's Show: Coaches Sam Madison and Renaldo Hill Won't Return Next Season Feb 12, 2024

Show notes

The Miami Dolphins hired Anthony Weaver last week, and it looks like the first-year defensive coordinator is close to finalizing his coaching staff. On top of that, Sam Madison, Renaldo Hill, and a handful of other coaches won't be returning for the 2023 season.

Miami added Lions defensive backs coach Brian Duker as pass game coordinator. Former Green Bay Packers defensive coordinator Joe Barry was named the run game coordinator earlier in the week.

It's clear that Weaver is building his preferred coaching staff, but how different could the defense look in September?

Sign, Franchise Tag, or Cut: Robert Hunt, Christian Wilkins & Connor Williams Feb 12, 2024

Show notes

The Miami Dolphins must improve the roster this offseason while also clearing out $50 million in salary cap space — talk about a tough task. General manager Chris Grier has tough decisions, and we decided to give him a hand. We look to the trenches, where Robert Hunt, Christian Wilkins, and Connor Williams are all set to be free agents next month.

Considering Miami's limited resources, we decide the best path by identifying if each player should be re-signed, franchise-tagged, or allowed to walk in free agency.

Additionally, the Dolphins continue to fill out the defensive coaching staff under first-year defensive coordinator Anthony Weaver. We start the show by exploring recent additions to the coaching staff while highlighting others who won't return next season.

From Today’s Show: These Are Positions Miami Should Avoid in the First Round Feb 09, 2024

Show notes

The Dolphins have to be smart this offseason when trying to improve the roster. The team has limited draft picks and little cap space to work with — maybe it's not the best time to draft another wide receiver in the first round... or is it?

While you can't ignore the talent that drops down the board, we discuss if there are any situations where Miami must put its foot down and choose need over best player available.

Dolphins Draft Guide: 5 Possible Selections for the First Round Feb 09, 2024

Show notes

The NFL Draft takes place from April 25 to April 27 and the Miami Dolphins first pick at No. 21 overall — let's talk options!

The Dolphins don't have a third-round pick and currently sit $51 million over the salary cap, leaving little room for error for Chris Grier and the team's front office. After years of swinging for the fences, is Miami's best bet to identify the 'safest' prospect still on the board?

From Today's Show: When Should We Expect Tua Tagovailoa's Contract Extension? Feb 05, 2024

Show notes

The Miami Dolphins are projected to be $45 million over the salary cap and extending quarterback Tua Tagovailoa's contract is a quick way to clear some space. Tagovailoa mentioned at the Pro Bowl Games that he expects to iron out a new deal with the Dolphins. Now that Miami has announced Anthony Weaver as defensive coordinator, how far down the list is Tagovailoa's extension?

Everything You Need To Know About Dolphins' Defensive Coordinator Anthony Weaver + Updates From The Pro Bowl Games Feb 05, 2024

Show notes

The Miami Dolphins announced the hiring of Baltimore Ravens associate head coach and defensive line coach Anthony Weaver as the franchise's next defensive coordinator. We kickstart the week by decoding why the Dolphins chose him after interviewing more than seven different coaches in recent weeks. Weaver earned his first professional coaching job in 2012 after a seven-year playing career with the Ravens and Houston Texans — could that blend of experience be the difference as Miami hires its third defensive coordinator in three years?
