Adah Parris on Identity, Freedom and Inclusion - E38 Nov 08, 2018
    Show notes

How can we find freedom of expression in all our areas of our lives?

In this episode entitled The Four Freedoms, Amisha meets writer, speaker, workshop leader, and passionately curious polymath Adah Paris. Adah has diverse and numerous interests - from tech futurism to reiki, millinery to life-coaching. Much of her work centres in some way around storytelling and inspiring humans to ask themselves the questions they have been avoiding.Adah is one of those rare souls who is content to be unapologetically themselves and to share all the vulnerabilities and victories of their own path of personal growth to help others. We hear about her work with individuals, organisations, and systems to audit their internal patterns, stories, and structures and understand where transformation and growth are possible.

"It all starts from us. What is my role and responsibility in expressing who i am? Nobody else can do it for us - can do it justice in the way that we can. It requires bravery and finding your voice." ~ Adah Parris

Daniel Pinchbeck on Ecological Crisis, Systemic Change and Collective Action - E37 Nov 01, 2018
    Show notes

How can we collectively act now to dramatically shift our course to a better planetary future?

"We are in this process of disintegration - an accelerated meltdown of what were stable aspects of our planetary support system- expressing something within us that has to die, change and be reborn." ~ Daniel Pinchbeck

In this episode entitled How Soon Is Now? A Call to Action, Amisha meets New York Times bestselling author and speaker Daniel Pinchbeck. His most recent book "How Soon is Now" looks at the ecological crisis as a rite of passage or initiation for humanity and proposes a "blueprint for the future". Daniel speaks about the disruptive breaks and shifts in consciousness required to address our global crises and the technological, systemic, and social solutions that will support them- including blockchain, gigantic kelp farms, and planetary terraforming. We hear why collective mass action is our best hope for change, how Facebook offers the potential for collective action but thwarts us from having the power, and why we must prepare now to act quickly when the next breaking point comes and what stands in the way of committed, collective action.

Tyler Wetherall on Secrets, Story and Identity - E36 Oct 25, 2018
    Show notes

How do our stories shape us and how do we shape them?

In this episode entitled The Stories We Tell in Order to Survive, Amisha meets author and journalist Tyler Wetherall. Together she and Amisha take a deep dive into our understanding of truth, lies, secrets, and stories.

By the age of 9 Tyler had lived in 13 houses in 5 countries and she believed this to be normal. Soon after she was to receive a shock revelation that would shake the foundations of her life as she knew it and her sense of personal identity. She then carried this secret close to her chest until finally writing her memoir. Tyler shares with us the story of her childhood and the circumstances and decisions which led to her unusual upbringing. But more than anything this episode is about the power we have to reconcile our past, and change our future.

"I genuinely believe it is almost impossible to choose one version of the truth, one version of a story that stands alone... I like to think of everyone's different stories all together like threads in a plait, you chose which thread to follow when you tell a story." ~ Tyler Wetherall

David Wood on AI (Artificial Intelligence), Ethics and Technology - E35 Oct 15, 2018
    Show notes

What must we understand today to make good choices about the technologies of tomorrow?

In this episode entitled Sustainable Superabundance or a New Dark Age for Humanity?, Amisha sits down with futurist, technologist and author David Wood. David was among the earliest pioneers of mobile phone software in the days before the dawning of the world wide web. He has worked in mobile and emerging technologies for 25 years, and now acts as an independent futurist, consultant, and writer.

David tells why we cannot leave the setting of appropriate limits and ethical codes around technology to the corporations who produce it, how Hollywood dangerously misleads our perceptions of future technological advances and why we cannot always trust our instincts to guide us in these matters.

Together Amisha and David dive into the ethics and morality of technological development, how to live in a world with no work and what we need to learn today to be ready for tomorrow.

"We will only get to humanity 2.0 by using the very best of humanity 1.0." ~ David Wood

Prabhavati Dwabha on Child Poverty, Education and Philanthropy - E34 Oct 09, 2018
    Show notes

How can one person make a difference to overwhelming poverty and suffering?

"Life is better if you are honestly doing your best to make a difference for another being. If you know that in living your life - however you are - you are also making a significant difference for others who would otherwise have no chance… You live different, you feel different, you are different."~ Prabhavati Dwabha

In this episode entitled Breaking the Cycle of Poverty, Ignorance, and Homelessness, Amisha sits down with Prabhavati Dwabha, a prolific humanitarian who left a career in Hollywood to come to India. She has been working to provide a home, education, love and nourishment to hundreds of 'at risk' children for 25 years.

All the children in Prabhavati Dwabha's care came from very traumatic backgrounds where they were unlikely to survive without rescue. She tells of the experiences that helped her to overcome the belief that one person cannot make a difference in the face of overwhelming suffering. Together she and Amisha speak about karma yoga, the joy of giving and how to fight complacency towards poverty in the place where we live.

"The whole thing if you live in the street in the garbage is that nobody cares - otherwise why would you be there? So if someone comes to where you are and brings a giant watermelon, they care." ~ Prabhavati Dwabha

Jamie Catto on Creativity, Shadows and Panic Attacks - E33 Oct 04, 2018
    Show notes

Where does true creative inspiration come from and how do we invite it in?

"Think of [creativity] as a unicorn. People so want to make money out of their creativity. You end up saddling your unicorn like a donkey to carry your self esteem issues up a hill and it is not its job." ~ Jamie Catto

In this episode entitled One Giant Leap for Permission to Feel, Amisha sits down with creative catalyst, musician and mischief-maker Jamie Catto.

Jamie seeks to serve as a 'walking permission slip' for people he meets, giving permission for himself and others to express themselves more fully and authentically in the world.

Together he and Amisha discuss the roots of suffering and melodrama in our lives, the influence of the patriarchy and how listening holds the key to all that we seek.

We hear Jamie's perspective on the treasures that can be found in the painful experiences of life and how to use our suffering sustainably. He speaks candidly about his experiences of panic attacks, death and suicide, lets us in on his relationship to creativity and the muse and reveals where the true genius ideas come from.

Together Tiu and Amisha discuss life, death and serendipity. Tiu tells stories of taking quantum physicists into the forest to play, going out on daily missions to find wonder and spreading 'pronoia' by putting love notes in cereal packets - as well as the profound personal tragedy that led her into this work and how to access our light while facing darkness.

"I am of the belief that you can choose to have a lens which sees awe as well as the ordinary, and when you do you can see things that are around us all the time as magnificent sources of marvellousness."~ Tiu de Haan

Sacha Stone on Self Actualisation, Activism and Sovereignty - E31 Sep 18, 2018
    Show notes

What is true human sovereignty and how can we reclaim it?

"The true sovereign is the living man and the living woman of the living soil, we tend to forget that." ~ Sacha Stone

In this episode entitled A New Earth Beyond Our Personal and Planetary Borders, Amisha shares a moment with former rock musician and founder of both The New Earth Project and Humanitad, Sacha Stone. We hear about his personal journey from early life as a war child, via a career in rock music and deep spiritual enquiry "in the solitude of poetry", to his present work in the world.

Sacha speaks about the entropic and harmful nature of many of the dominant systems of our civilisation and some of the alternatives that are emerging through his work and that of others. He tells how we can and why we must break the patterns of our cultural, intellectual and social programming.

Sacha challenges mainstream beliefs and perspectives with his views on time, economics and human potential, revealing plans for the emergence of free energy and immortal humans within our lifetimes.

Roma Norriss on Parenting, Listening and Relationships - E30 Sep 12, 2018
    Show notes

How can changing the way that we approach parenting create a brighter future for all of us?

In this episode entitled Birthing & Raising a Better World, Amisha takes time to connect with birth worker and parenting consultant Roma Norriss.

Roma believes that parenting is the most potent form of activism available to us, and that if just a single generation of children have their emotional needs met, we will see a very different world. She shares stories from her own journey as a parent and explains how we can actively support our kids to stay with their feelings and use their body's wisdom to heal.

"When parents respond to their children with connection, we will see adults who have a lot less hurt to act out on, and it's that hurt that drives us to plunder our planet's resources and make off-track decisions and fosters greed and consumerism and lack of consciousness around the planet. So when we are building humans that are less damaged, we are going to start seeing a world that is less damaged, and I really don't think that is going to take a long time." ~ Roma Norriss

Kriss Akabusi on Human Potential, Success and Happiness - E29 Sep 06, 2018
    Show notes

How can we identify and embody our greatest potential?

In this episode entitled Living Your Best Life in Every Moment, Amisha sits down with Kriss Akabusi, who has been many things including a soldier, an Olympian and a TV personality. He is now working as a coach and training as an existential psychotherapist and counsellor.

We take a deep dive into Kriss's life story, uncovering the choices and twists of fate that shaped his remarkable life and career. He shares his journey from a children's home to the Olympic podium, how his time in the army influenced his meteoric career in athletics and the mysterious out-of-body experience that gave him a glimpse into a bigger reality.

"I didn't make the first team in anything at school when it came to sports - which shows me how important the mind, spirit and emotions are to getting the best out of the body. I don't think that you can get the best out of the body unless everything else is aligned." ~ Kriss Akabusi
