A Spartan's Journey Jan 08, 2018

Show notes

This week I am bringing to you yet another troubled childhood story. But this character is nothing short of a living legend. He is Master Chief Petty Officer John 117.

Master Chief Petty Officer John-117 is arguably the most pivotal and important figure of the human race in the mid-26th century. Abducted at the age of six years old from his homeworld of Eridanus II by the Office of Naval Intelligence (ONI), he was conscripted into the SPARTAN-II program. The initiative was originally designed to quell human rebellion against the Unified Earth Government as the human Insurrection movement neared its tipping point. John endured harsh physical and mental training, survived the physical augmentations required by the program, and was integrated into state-of-the-art Mjolnir battle armor. He was later paired with an incredibly advanced Smart AI known as Cortana. John and Cortana were the culminations of the SPARTAN-II and MJOLNIR programs, allowing a Spartan to safely carry an extremely powerful AI into combat--an advancement that ultimately changed the course of the war.

I feel Like I have been preparing this show for the last 16 years or since the first Game was released. But it was when I saw his story expanded from the console to the movies and you learn of his upbringing, thats when I truly felt admiration for him. John is an Empathic Killing Machine as you will learn.

Batman’s failure Jan 03, 2018

Show notes

Ignoring what he's done in the past. Blindly, stupidly disregarding the entire graveyards he's filled, the thousands who have suffered, the friends he's crippled. You know, I thought... I thought I'd be the last person you'd ever let him hurt. If it had been you that he beat to a bloody pulp, if he had taken you from this world, I would've done nothing but search the planet for this pathetic pile of evil, death-worshiping garbage and then send him off to hell! Jason Todd the Red Hood

Jason Todd was and is Batman’s one failure at least in my eyes. He was the second incarnation of the boy wonder robin. He may have had a hard start in life, and even a harder one in death. Join me and learning how death isn’t always permanent.

This weeks show was requested by my daughter, probably not the robin she wanted to learn about but it’s still Robin of sorts. If you want to request a character go over to my social media and I will gladly do my best.

Able to run at near light-speeds, his powers provide the ultimate caffeine kick: He can run up buildings, move so swiftly he phases through objects, create sonic booms with the snap of his fingers—and never need to order delivery. Despite his speed, Barry can become so obsessed with crime-solving he can still lose track of everything else around him, leaving the fastest man alive constantly running a minute behind.
