Hi all!
We're ending our 'life-update' series of podcasts with this episode, primarily for two reasons.
The audio has been a nightmare to record with two kids being 67 miles away from a microphone and forgetting they have to actually speak into it.
Being mentally challenged when it comes to actually commenting on a game and what's going on.
That last one was a killer. RIght after we recorded this episode, we *attempted* to do a live stream of Doors 2, with Geek joining through Discord. And saying we 'attempted' to record was being incredibly gracious.
When I opened the recording to work on it, I realized that the audio from the game wasn't captured at all. That occurred during the first Doors episode we recorded a while back, and I literally had to re-create over 90 minutes of audio from the game that took a few years off my life.
Even worse, Geek's trash microphone was cutting in and out of Discord. He also was yelling into the mic, which sounded like a bunch of white noise half the time. Luckily it was on a different audio track, so I could simply remove it from the show, but then...
Both Alden and Wish were literally brain dead during the recording. Beyond reacting do what they were seeing on the screen, nothing was being described, explained or explored. Plus, shouting at Geek half the time made it just as confusing for the listener who didn't have a video to work from.
And I figured all this out after I had created a pretty cool intro using the AI voice of David Attenborough and the rain effects that come from the beginning of the game. Spend a day on it, and opened the source audio file looking to work on it. I gave up after ten minutes.
SO, we're going back to Alden and I having a conversation and playing a game together so that if he completely checks out mentally and just grunts at the visuals on the screen, I've got you covered.
And that episode is already recorded and done. I just have to produce it, which should be infinitely more easier than that garbage recording I was confronted with last week.
Anyway, hope you're enjoying yourself and getting ready for Halloween. And if you're in the US and have registered to vote, VOTE! 🇺🇸

Btw, our Discord has devolved into about three people sharing memes. Alden visits to see who he can play with, so if you seen him there, spam him with emojis. You have my permission since he never reads these.

Hope this episode finds you well, and we'll be back on regular schedule next week.
I know, I know... these aren't the 40-60 minute episodes you're used to, and the podcast isn't titled 'Alden's Amazing Life Review', so I can understand why you're confused.
But, Alden is still playing Roblox, and has been playing a LOT of 'Fight for Survival', which we will probably do a review of pretty soon.
But here's the deal... if you want something more than streaming games and actually an episode in the style of what they used to be, I'm going to have to open up a Patreon to justify it.
If there's not enough people willing to donate, then we're sticking with updates and the occasional review when time allows. Wish it were different, but offline responsibilities are priority and spending 30-40 hours a week on an episode is something that I just don't have time for at the moment.
But if you’d just like to watch, check out the AARR YouTube Channel. We stream every weekend.

Hope this episode finds you well, and be sure to answer the poll about going to Patreon. :D
Wow! An episode turnaround faster than 10 months! I would be proud of me since no one else will be. 🙂 We’re recording another episode either today or tomorrow, but this was last Saturday since Tyler and Alden tried out the mods. They *kind of* worked, and got me to leave putting mods on manually and just use Modman with all its crashing… but at least it has profiles.
By the way, do you play Cookie Clicker? We’ve only ascended once and we’re up to nonillions of cookies. It’s insane. Oh, we’re also collecting cats in Battle Cats, but Alden doesn’t play it anymore. He’s more interested in building maps in Geometry Dash and watching other people work on YouTube during his downtime. He’s also built a Flood Escape 2 map that he completed but I don’t think anyone is playing.
Beyond what’s here, Alden and I have been going on Flag Wars servers and attempting to wipe out the entire team and make them quit. I know, it sounds bad, but you have people who are like 417 level and need to touch some grass and see what Earth is like outside. So we feel like we’re doing a public service when we’re decimating these “pros” with snipers and 300 bullet machine guns. Come find us and you can join us in domination.

Man, this place is super dusty. Where are the light switches?
Yep, it’s been 10 long months since we put anything up on the podcast. I guess when it came to overproducing episodes and having 6-8 recordings in the hopper, all enthusiasm for getting it done went out the window… that and getting the house in order.
This time around, we’re doing weekly recordings where we give updates on what’s going on with the both of us and doing our gaming recordings on YouTube as streams. It’s just much easier to document what Tyler and Alden are doing rather than trying to insert a new sound effect every 15-30 seconds. It was fun to do, but spending 30-40 hours on each episode was a bit too much.

Sorry for the long break, and we’ll see you in another episode fairly quickly. I’m working on last Sunday’s episode tomorrow. 😀
At this point, I have to treat these podcast episodes like music album releases. They take a long time to produce for one person, and I just can't churn them out fast enough. So, consider them quarterly installments from this point forward until something changes in our collective schedules here. 😁
Anyhoo, we're back with our 50th episode! Alden and his best friend Wish join a couple of our cohorts on Discord (Jester and TiMO) to try and beat Doors for the first time. I join in as well, though I kept my expectations at rock bottom (I had never played before this episode recording).
Beyond the game, here's what's been happening with us:
Oh, and Alden's soccer team is 0-8 going into their final two games. Alden's been doing decent at goalie, but a good portion of the team is completely new to soccer and they've been getting beaten pretty bad. Still, they attend practices, have fun with each other and make the most of it.

Thanks for checking out our podcast and mucho gracias to everyone who's been consistently listening to our shows... even if we're totally lame and don't post every month.
Hope this finds you well, and I hope you have some restful holidays coming up. See you!
Greetings from the hot state of Texas!
This release will be a short, review only episode, with the bigger one coming later in August. This one didn’t require thirty thousand years of production, though my microphone cut out right when we started recording. As such, you’ll see me boosting the audio in post-production and hear me hitting our stupid Yamaha sound board with a pool noodle just to get it working properly.
In the meantime, we go through reviews… kind of. At the time of the recording, iTunes was doing its usual glitch-fest and decided to randomize all of the reviews we’ve ever gotten, all the way back to 2019! We went with it and reflected on our time during the COVID-19 pandemic, as well as a few reviews we had never seen before. Hopefully if we do this again, we won’t run into this sort of nonsense.
So, a brief upload before starting production on a rather involved 2 hour gaming session with Alden and his friend Wish (previously Romo). Looking forward to swimming through that soup of ‘what are they talking about?’ kind of thing.
And while you’re trying to listen to me talk through a tunnel on this episode, feel free to click on the link below for some random banter about memes, fan art and a tree bot that we occasionally water from time to time:

Thanks again to Jester's for giving us an image to post for our review episode! I’m still waiting for you to try an AI image generator. I think our Discord will be saturated with experiments when he does.
Thanks for listening, and we’ll see you in a few weeks.
Well hello there!
We've successfully figured out a way to release an episode shorter than six months. In involves recording the entire thing and then doing 40-60 seconds to edit it every day. The end result is an episode so overproduced and filled with sound effects that I could probably post 20+ clips on social media. Hell, I don't even remember what the beginning of the episode even sounds like at this point.
But rest assured, you're going to get plenty of Item Asylum play-by-play in this episode. Whether it's Jester rambling about everything and anything to Romo speaking thirty feet away from the microphone, we have you covered. Oh, and YouSawNothing and Tyson join with two dollar microphones crammed into their armpits as they shout over everyone during some pretty active game play.
One last thing... the sound effects you're going to hear in this episode are taken from a wide variety of games. The audio clips are also from a wide variety of movies and TV shows. As a result, I've probably put this podcast in jeopardy with the sheer amount of copyright violations I may have committed (I really don't know). But I'm sure Jester yelling 'COPYRIGHT' over and over again has cleared me of any wrong doing.
By the way, if you've been listening to this podcast for the 3+ years we've been publishing our stuff and you still haven't joined our Discord, you're doing yourself a disservice. Click on the link below for some endless (but temporary) happiness and joy:

PS - Our apologies to Tyson for not allowing him to sign off. I didn't realize we had forgotten him in our haste to wrap up the show. We'll give him a proper signoff the next time he joins us.
Well, well well... it only took six months to get this episode done! At this rate, we should hit 100 episodes by the time Alden is 24 years old. That or I can make a million dollars and start doing this full time. Or get an entire production team to make it happen. Maybe both?
Anyway... in this episode, we get into Silent Library, STARR tests that are currently happening for reading, math and science (which Alden is rather stressed about), essays about trampoline safety and substitute teachers, teaching Alden to pursue his interests and the end of Battle Cats (yep, Alden's done with it). Then, we meet up with Romo and play a few rounds of Flee the Facility! Apparently, I can't find a computer to hack to save my life (literally).
We're still active on Discord whenever Alden isn't completely immersed on his Switch with the newest Mario Rabbids. If you If you want to take a peek, you know what to do:

As always, thanks for listening to the show and we hope you are doing well. 👍
I guess we're at a 'once a month' pace of sending these out, which is fine. With Alden's school in full-swing, there may be time to do additional episodes... but no promises. My terrible track record speaks for itself. 😁
In this episode, we talk about Alden's friend who seems to be going a bit nuts, Battle Cats seeding, our new dog and finally, a third venture into everyone's favorite game... Tower Defense Simulator with all the new updates, graphics and frustrating nerfing that the developers seem to be doing with every tower unit they scrutinize. Special thanks to Tyson for joining and playing with us for another episode!
Finally, we've been popping into the Discord every so often. Yes, there are the usual postings of 'dead chat' and non-activity, but dems da breaks. It usually consists of Alden asking if anyone is on voice chat to get a game going, and that's it. I started a Battle Cats channel and have been posting some custom game videos there. We'll see you in a month or so. Hopefully sooner than 30 days. Post interesting (but child friendly) memes in the Discord to remind me to publish. It helps. 😁
Oh, and by the way... a nice little 'Heya Hiya!' to Oli Down Under. Thanks for listening to our show every so often. Hope you are doing well. :)
Well it's been a LONG time hasn't it? :D
The explanation is simple. Alden was simply enjoying his summer break and I was busy making sure he was enjoying summer break. We did actually record two other episodes but I haven't had any time to produce them (see the above about being with Alden on summer break). So, there are more coming. But for now, know that we're back and we'll be releasing more episodes in the near future.
And I know we haven't been hanging out in the Discord as much, but apparently the time zones for Australia and Dallas are not compatible with one another. That and we only seem to be able to come on at 8:00 pm at night to game for 30 minutes. But hey, at least we message back.
Speaking of which, why not pop by our Discord for five minutes and never come back to it again? It's fun! 😁👍

Thanks for being patient with us during our 16 billion year hiatus. Hope you enjoy the episode, and we'll see you in the next millennia!
Hi all!
I was really thinking about publishing this episode a couple of years from now, given how long you've had to wait for this one. But good news! It's coming out today, and future episodes will be only featuring some aspect of what we do (reviews, daily updates, game reviews, etc.). I won't try to lump them into the same episode anymore, since this one took me NINE CUMULATIVE DAYS to edit and a whole month to find time to work on it. I think I'm done with mega-episodes like this. 😁
As this was recorded in February when Alden was sick with a cold (not COVID-19, thank goodness), we talked about all the birthday parties he had been going to, top 10 facts about Victoria, Australia, his new found powers of being a Discord admin and a bit of Battle Cats updates here and there (since Alden wanted to keep it short... 😅)
We also went through Pet Simulator X, a game that Alden and I played quite a bit of a couple of years ago. A lot has been updated in the game (for better and for worse) and we explore it all. Well, I talk a lot about it and Alden does all the playing. You know... the usual way we do things.
You can play Pet Simulator X right here: https://web.roblox.com/games/6284583030/EVENT-Pet-Simulator-X
Special thanks to LuvsMinecraft for joining us on this episode and giving his perspective. I also have a special easter egg for him at the end of the show that I'm not sure he'll like or not like... but we're going to find out! 😎

We hope this episode finds you stellar and magnificent. Know that there are people who care about you and appreciate what you do.
Please take care of yourself, and we'll see you next time. Adios! 👋
Hi everyone! 👋
Well, I tried. I know a lot of you are wanting episodes every week, but there's always something stopping that from happening. Whether it's Spring Break or yours truly going haywire with all the production sound effects and features in every episode, there's always a culprit. We'll get the hang of it sooner or later. 😁
For now, Alden and I try out the endless number generator known as 'Clicker Simulator' in this episode. We're joined by two of our friends on our Discord (Tyson and Sunstripe) as we continually hatch eggs and generate 1.45e16 clicks per second with our atomic event pets that resemble microwaves and portable furnaces. If you're completely confused, you'll have to either play the game or listen to the episode for it to make sense. 🤪
You can play Clicker Simulator right here: https://web.roblox.com/games/7560156054/Clicker-Simulator
We also revisit our Battle Cats lineup, since we go three weeks per update. It seems we completely forget all the progress we make and have to look at the game to figure it out. In fact, we're waaaaay beyond what this episode details and will probably spend a good portion of Episode 44 going over things like Heavenly Tower, the old Merc Storia collab and the 100+ leadership flags we now have. All the same, we'll get you up to speed on things.
Finally, we cover things like Tongue in Cheek ice cream flavors, what it would be like if Alden took over a Target Store, and all of your lovely, lovely reviews... even if we can't read them properly.
Be sure to come find us on our Discord channel. One of us is always hanging out, and who knows... you might just game with us on our next podcast! 👾

Heya hiya hello-hah!
This episode is really two podcasts in one. The first part talks about our recent trip to Universal Studios and what we thought of all the rides. The second part talks about our featured game, Roblox NPC's are becoming smart! (recommended by Tyson_Something (Thanks! 😁)) and how we were digging the interactions we had with Carl.
The whole thing has more sound bites, music overlays, transitions and weird, off-the-wall inserts than any previous episode, clocking in at a whopping 74 minutes. I think I definitely overproduced it a bit. Well, maybe a lot. Maybe a whole lot. Maybe I completely nerded out and spent a whole week on it. Definitely possible. 🤪
Anyhoo, we do our usual coverage of Battle Cats, reviews on Apple Podcasts, and all your emails from the previous month (big thank you's to Tyson and Shannon for writing in). We even talked about our first Discord member named Sunstripe (who has the only real Australian accent that we know of). He also podcasts like we do, and you can find his content over on Spotify. Check it out when you have some time... especially if you like the Warrior Cats novel series by Erin Hunter. 👍

Hey there! How are ya? 😁
We're getting ready for our family vacation in February and I REALLY needed to get this done and out the door before that happened. That's because I'm usually running around at the last minute getting things I forgot to pack (ponchos, extra masks, etc.) and producing a podcast would be at the very bottom of the 'to-do' list.
Anyhoo, this episode gets into my 52nd birthday celebration a couple of weeks ago, which Super Uber Rare cats would make good names for kids, and Alden's basketball teammates and what I think of them as their coach. We also get into the never-ending saga that is COVID-19 and how we had to get tested... AGAIN. Seriously, this pandemic is exposing how incredibly dumb humans are with taking pro-active measures and thinking about the bigger picture... which I'll be contemplating as I'm double masked on a flight to Florida next week.
Oh, and we review Tower Blitz too. 🤪 In a nutshell, you should stop playing Tower Defense Simulator and give this game a try... especially if you like sniper towers with FULL AUTO capabilities. 😎
And finally, we have a Discord! We're experimenting with it, but you can join by following this link.

Here's the rundown of all the audio samples we had in this episode. Be advised that some of these include naughty language bits and should be avoided if you're not allowed to listen to that ****. 😅
See you next time! 👍
Hi everyone!
I've been really busy around the house and haven't had time to record with Alden. He's been exploring some new games (Tower Blitz being one of them) and waiting for me to wrap up my biz before starting another episode up.
In the meantime, here's an episode from a few weeks ago when Alden's friend Srihan came over to spend the day at our house. We start off with a Q&A session where I asked both of them various questions about random stuff (ex: who would win between the Hindu Gods vs Greek Gods, top 5 toys you could get for free, who would you like to punch in the face without repercussions, etc.). It was a lot of fun to listen to. 😁
We later found out that Srihan couldn't play any video games while he was visiting (which both Alden and I thought was horrendously stupid). So, he agreed to do a play by play while Alden and I tried to get caught up with our stamp collection and golden flag conquest in Super Mario 3D World. Srihan made the most of it, we were partially successful and enjoyed the whole session.
So apologies for the delay... it's my fault again. Unless I start up something like Patreon and quit my job and do these full time, I'll just continue to release them when time allows (and Alden keeps pestering me about getting one together).
Hope this episode finds you happy, healthy and staying clear of COVID-19 (though it's damn hard with Omicron... our next door neighbors' entire family was exposed to it during the holidays).

FLAG WARS! ⛳️ It's basically a 'Capture the Flag' type game that was a remake of StickMasterLuke's version (maker of 'Natural Disaster' btw) that's everything you want out of a team-play FPS. I enjoy it because it reminds me of my old gaming days of Quake, Counterstrike, Unreal Tournament, etc. Alden just likes the 'Spaz'. 😁
The run-time is a bit long on this episode, as we covered three full rounds of playing AND included some trivia about Brazil (for those of you listening from the region). We learned a lot and had a lot of fun recording this one.

Hi there! Another two weeks and another episode is done. I might as well just make these holiday themed episodes since I seem to get one done every time one comes around. Next month (January 2022) will be my birthday! 🎉🎂 In this episode, we review Polyblast, aka Polybattle. Well, we said Polyblast so many times that the developers need to reconsider a few things. Maybe some guided missiles (which they just added), mortar weapons and oh, I don't know... SOME GUNS OR ROCKETS ON THEIR UNSTEERABLE, TWITCHY, USELESS HELICOPTERS!!! 😤 We also introduce listener-suggested songs for background music. Hopefully, I got those right. What's weird is that I've heard all of them before (with the exception of "Permission to Dance' by BTS. The instrumentals were cool though. Keep those suggestions coming! -----> If our review of Polybattle got you interested in the game, you can learn more at: https://polybattle.fandom.com/wiki/Polybattle_Wiki And play the game at: https://web.roblox.com/games/4716045691/STINGER-MISSILE-POLYBATTLE -----> Feel free to give us a review on iTunes or email us your game suggestions and/or Roblox stories at alden (at) aldengaming.com. Helllooooo!!!!
We had another one of those long delays from publishing an episode due to Thanksgiving break, things breaking in the house, giant serpents on the walking trails, cold weather, warm weather and other lame excuses.
We recorded this episode about three weeks ago. So when we refer to Veterans Day, it's going to seem a bit like a time warp. We do have another episode coming up that's already recorded, but I have to sit down and post-produce it. I'm getting to it... promise. 😁
Anyway, we cover the usual with school, Battle Cats and all the boring stuff going on with me at the home. Then we get into Tower Defense Simulator (one of our favorites) and try our hand at the revised version to see what's changed since we played it a year ago.
As always, feel free to give us a review on iTunes or email us your game suggestions and/or Roblox stories at alden (at) aldengaming.com. We'll take time to read them on the air. And if you're into reading like Alden is, here are the books he's checking out this week.
See you next time, and thanks for listening!
Hi all!
We're still surfing the 'golden oldies' section and revisiting Wizard Tycoon 2 from an earlier online broadcast on YouTube and Twitch. We both enjoy it for the team building, wands, brooms and potions you can get while you build up your castle.
And now, a story of betrayal... 😔
So here I am, starting to build a castle in Wizard Tycoon 2 with my son Alden, having a good time... when all of a sudden, he leaves the server I'm on to go play with his online friends. It ended up being another game, but did he came back to play with me? NO. He goes and plays on ANOTHER WT2 server with someone else! I was so depressed that I took it out on other teams we were competing against (and made the most of it by experiencing two different games) 😁
We also get into school, all of our featured units in Battle Cats and go through some new reviews. If you'd like to give us a review on iTunes or email us your game suggestions and/or Roblox stories at alden (at) aldengaming.com. We'll take time to read them on the air.
And if you're into reading like Alden is, here are the books he's checking out this week.

Helllllo everybody!
We're a bit late with publishing our 'post-halloween' episode, as we just recorded another podcast this evening. Nevertheless, we get into our costumes, how we terrified small children everywhere in our neighborhood and get into the goings-on happening at school. Oh, and Henry Stickmin too. 😁
And for some weird reason, iTunes temporarily removed a bunch of our ratings and reviews over the past two years. At the time of this recording, we thought we had done something wrong... but apparently it was a glitch. Or, we're dumb. Both could be true.
Either way, feel free to give us a review on iTunes or email us your game suggestions and/or Roblox stories at alden (at) aldengaming.com. We'll take time to read them on the air.
And if you're into reading like Alden is, here are the books he's checking out this week. And btw, we aren't paid to put these here. This is just a courtesy to encourage others to read too. 👍
See you next time, and thanks for listening!
Hi all!
This week, we get into Piggy, Book 2... based on a suggestion from "lol" on our Anchor Q&A. We had some other games to check out, but this one was an impromptu choice to roll with.
It's a game we've played before, but was fully updated with a new chapter and different game options last year. And while the title of this podcast suggests that I ruined the entire experience for my son, I encourage you to listen to our 'conversation' and come to your own conclusions. 😁
We also get into a bit of school, the usual Battle Cats updates (and we have a ton more updates to share from this episode coming up) and what we're looking forward to next week.
Hope this episode finds you well, and please stay safe out there.

By request, we dive into the world of Minecraft! ⛏
Alden and I have been playing on Minecraft for just under two years and have been gaming on it for a while. We've created roller coasters, mine cart tracks that extended for 6000+ blocks, etc. In this episode, we just open up a new world in Standard mode and narrate what we are doing at the time. So if that doesn't sound interesting, I'll cliff note the whole thing for you:
We also share school updates, some amazing Battle Cats pulls (two of them!) and get into the latest reviews. Oh, and THANK YOU FOR SENDING YOUR EMAILS!!! 😁 I just answered all of them this morning and will be reading them off next episode. Very much appreciate your game suggestions.
Hope this episode finds you well, and please stay safe out there.

You suggested, and we listened (and played). We took a review suggestion for the second time and had a bit of nostalgic fun with Weight Lifting Simulator (as we played it long ago). Lots of interesting stuff involving rebirths and new levels, along with Alden getting his 'Super Cyan' glow as he moved up the strength ranks. Overall, a decent game, but it's definitely a clickfest.
We also talked about our COVID-19 scare, new nicknames for some of his friends and classmates, and read your reviews as we flirt with the idea of doing a Minecraft episode. And oh yeah... stacking furniture in Hello Neighbor too. :D
Hope you enjoy the show!

All last week, Alden was browsing for a few new games to play after his Bloxburg experience from last week. He stumbled upon Doomspire Brickbattle and started playing it a LOT. I could hear him giggling and laughing from the upstairs media room when I was down in the kitchen taking care of after-dinner stuff. Needless to say, he likes it a lot. 😁
We cover the game, how many times I take a rocket to the face, read a couple of reviews and give some after-school updates about his new Art Ensemble he's getting involved with.
Also, here are some books Alden recommends. He's read all of these in the past week and really enjoys them:
And remember, please review the podcast on iTunes if you have some time. We do read them off every episode. I'm wondering who's going to be the #200 review. 🤔
You can also email us at alden (at) aldengaming.com if you have any game suggestions or ramblings to share.
Hope you and yours have a safe and relaxing weekend!
Alden insisted I call this episode 'Bloxburg is Dumb', and I have to agree. It was one of the most underwhelming experiences we've ever had playing a Roblox game.
No offense to the game developers or the fans of the game... but it sucked. It felt like someone's student project in Roblox Studio with pay gates applied to everything. It was trying to monetize us constantly. It also forces you to travel huge distances for literally nothing while asking you to pay money to improve your mood, your health, etc. Neither of us thought we were playing the *actual* game. It sucked that bad.
So yeah, don't bother with this one. We have no idea why it's on top 10 lists everywhere. It blows.
We'll have something better next time around.

Email us your game suggestions (NOT BLOXBURG) at alden (at) aldengaming.com
You can also leave a review on iTunes. We like reading them on the podcast if they are kid appropriate.
Bye!
We're nearly a week away from getting back into things with Roblox (hopefully). Until then, it's one more episode focused on Alden's updates and his love of books. It's mostly me going into detail about everything he reads and how much he's read (which is a LOT). If you have book suggestions, do send them my way. Until then, I'll be raiding the local library for new adds.
Be sure to send us some suggestions for games (Roblox or otherwise) as well as your favorite book reads to alden (at) aldengaming.com. If you're feeling up to it, feel free to give us a review on iTunes and we'll read them on the podcast.
Btw, is there any other podcasting site that does reviews? I didn't see them on Spotify or other 3rd party sites. 🤔
Until next time, I hope you and yours are staying safe and happy during the pandemic we're going through. See you later!
This week, Alden and I get into his experiences with going to in-person school in Texas during COVID-19 Death Season. He goes through a typical day, his 'nutty' best friend and farts occasionally. We read off a few reviews that have come in for the past week as well.
We also have a new email address! You can send in your topic and game requests as well as any questions you have to alden@aldengaming.com. This account is monitored by me (Alden's father), so keep it clean or your messages will be banned to a silent life in the Spam folder.
Hope this finds you well, and thanks as always for listening!
Yep, you heard right. I finally convinced my son to start recording again and talking about Roblox, Battle Cats, Minecraft and amazing review names like TacoPoopBlast. 🤪
Alden should be back and streaming on Roblox in a few weeks, but we'll have a few audio-only episodes coming up where we talk about gaming, school life, and random topics in a jar. If you want to add a topic or leave a review, please do so and we'll read them off.
Hope you and yours are staying safe during the pandemic.
I was trying to figure out some Roblox games that Alden's friend Srihan (who doesn't play video games... he's more into nature) could play with him. So, we fell back on some of the classics Alden used to play when he was much younger.
So, we're featuring both Natural Disaster Survival and the newly redesigned Epic Mini Games.
Btw, I neglected to turn on both microphones, so you'll hear me and Srihan talking in the background very softly. You'll also hear Alden's voice easily pierce your ears at different intervals, but that's a kid for you. :)
Hope you enjoy it!
My son often looks at what his Roblox friends are playing to get started with new games. Blox Hunt was one of them. It's an interesting approach to a hide-and-seek game, where you can disguise yourself as an object (and run around when you get caught as one).
Besides defining what a hider and a seeker was (over and over and over again), we did manage to both be seekers at the same time. Were we able to find all the hiders before time expired? You'll have to watch to find out. :)

Here's another favorite of Alden's that he's been playing a lot of... Deathrun. Since I'm terrible at the game, I spend more time describing the waiting area than I do the actual gameplay.
All the same, he shows no mercy when he's the trap master, and almost survives a solo performance towards the end. Hope you enjoy it. :)

We're finally on YouTube! While our podcast has been going on for about a half a year, we finally made the transition to streaming video. But man, those files are gigantic to upload.
You can view our new channel here:

Anyway, we get into Legends of Speed... a really fun game with a lot of easy game play and dynamics that keep it interesting. My son is still playing it at the time of this upload. I think he's at Level 78 or something.
Enjoy the video!
PS - My son wants to give a shoutout to FGTEEV, though I don't think they care much. :)

From last week's nightmarish experience with the Zomboss slide, we totally lose it and keep playing the highly addictive Broken Bones IV. Some of it is explaining the game, while the rest of it is marveling how our Roblox characters crush and break nearly every ligament and bone in their bodies. Hope you enjoy it. :)
Not too long ago, a glitchy but very humorous game was on Roblox. The physics were off, things would crash and break apart without warning, and many of the vehicles were usable at best. All in all, we had a blast playing it.
Fast forward to this week, and the original authors of Dr. Zombie's Slime Slide have corrected a lot of those glitches. While Alden and I enjoyed revisiting the game, it didn't have that same sort of glitchy magic we were looking for. In fact, this is the first game where we can't remotely recommend anyone trying it.
But hey, form your own opinion and try it here:

As always, thanks for listening, and give us a decent rating and review on iTunes and Spotify. We do read them, and wait till we have critical mass before showcasing them on a future episode.
Enjoy your week. :)
This is easily the longest podcast we've every recorded, all for a single game. Balloon Simulator was a Roblox game we explored at length, with color commentary from Alden all the way through. It's worth noting that Alden eventually became a godzillionaire after just playing the game for two days.
Hope you enjoy the podcast!
We're back for a series of brand new episodes of Alden's Amazing Roblox Review! But, before we get into the games, Alden had his good friend Srihan K. over who was visiting from Richardson, Texas.
Alden and Srihan talk about Srihan's favorite activities, his love for karate, the kind of food and drinks he likes, and other topics. We also get into Alden's recent eye injury and talking about garden plants. It's a variety of topics for our first time back. Hope you enjoy it.
We were off for a week (it was Daddy's fault), and we're back with Speed Race. It's a bit of a deceptive game, where it rewards you with speed but you'll likely finish if you take your time. It's breakneck pace was pretty fun to play, and it was monetized to the max. It was kind of sad.
Bonus is that you hear Alden meowing like a cat for no particular reason, and a new ranking for games in the form of grunts.

We're taking a break from reviewing Roblox games to find out what y'all have been writing about us on iTunes. Most of you have been very kind, but the majority of the reviews left us wondering. We do appreciate the honesty though!
Feel free to leave reviews in the future, and we'll be more than happy to include them in a future podcast, be they bad or good. It's just fun to hear what others have to say.
Have a good week!
WHAT??!? Not a Roblox game??? Yep, we're going off the reservation and showcasing a simple online game that we've gotten quite good at. It's Hole-IO, where you basically have everything fall into you for points. As mentioned on the podcast, find the parks, swallow the smaller buildings within the first minute, and you're set to dominate.
If you have future game recommendations for us to review, you can send your suggestions to robert@dallasdesignsprints.com.
Thanks for listening!
Have you ever played a Roblox game that blatantly defies the laws of physics? Well, probably all of them. But THIS one allows you to control a cubical boulder that grabs skyscrapers, moon landers, bridges and smash other boulders. That's right, it's Boulder Simulator.
Alden and I have been playing this game for a few months. Pro Tip: Once you can get to the Moon to get your "m's", do it. You level up much faster and there's less competition.
Hope you enjoy the show!
Alden and I give Car Crushers 2 a go, and mostly end up trying to crash into one another by the time all was said and done. There was a lot to explore, and I think we may have gotten to a small percentage of what the game had in it.
Overall, this was a very well done game... but hardly anyone to play with anywhere. Need to make those billion dollar vehicles more accessible than they are today me thinks.
While uploading this episode to start the new year, I just discovered that Roblox took this particular game offline for review. So you can't play it, and you'll have to suffer my person explaining the details of the game. The only redeeming part of this podcast is when my son somehow jettisons me off the world a couple of times.
All the same, welcome back... and enjoy the show. :)
I couldn’t peel away Alden from playing his Nintendo Switch with his friend from next door. So, here’s a quick 2 minute segment wishing you and yours a happy holiday.
It's Sunday morning, and we just finished eating the blueberry pancakes we made for brunch. While I'm cleaning up, I hear him yell "DAD I'M A BILLIONAIRE!!!", along with a lot of singing and chanting. I roll up with my computer, and we both end up recording our first impressions of Billionaire Simulator. In case you ever play this game in the future, remember... always get a store manager. Alden will be shouting this at you while you play, even when he's asleep at night.
We're taking it live again with Blox Adventures, a stylistic looking obby game where the breathtaking graphics are probably lost on my son. The thing he's fixated on is how to get down those darnfalnaggled fan shafts without breaking apart 30+ times. I tried those out too and was getting equally frustrated. So we do a relatively light overview of the game without too much depth. I will say that the shadow trail and trainer ball is infinitely annoying. Seriously, how can someone figure out where they're going in an obby when their path is obscured. Btw, that's Dad complaining. Alden's still trying to get past the air shaft.
Alden was seriously having issues paying attention to the podcast while playing "Work at a Pizza Place". It's probably the most edited version of the podcast to date. We're going to have to figure out how to get his attention so he doesn't zone into moving virtual boxes into pizza supply delivery trucks. There's always hope next episode.
We're back after a two week holiday break (that's the official version... truth is we taped a couple of shows but Alden wasn't into it). We're busting out with Slimulator, another variation of Bee Swarm, Pet Simulator, etc type of game. Alden will make sure you understand every person on the leaderboard in the game. In fact, he goes through literally everything he sees while playing the game (which seems to jog his memory better).
Alden and I are sick with seasonal colds. If you can make it through hearing sniffles, coughing and the grossness of wiping boogers on the couch, you'll enjoy this one.
Alden invited his friend Zoe onto the podcast and we ended up talking about her favorite game Minecraft. Yep, it's not a Roblox game, but the cute factor is off the charts on this short one. I type short, because it looks like I have a short in either a microphone, cable, or audio intake device. Going to have to investigate before our next episode. Enjoy this one in the meantime!
With a failed recording at hand, Alden and Daddy had to improvise to get this episode out the door. The end result was a recording session over vegetable soup, talking about Hide and Seek Extreme. We even recorded bonus footage of a fart beat. Yeah, we were being silly.
Since the first version of Flood Escape still has appeal AND gets a considerable amount of traffic to this day, Alden decided to feature it in another live podcast. He drifts a bit on this one, so his review will probably be a bit spacey. Enjoy!
We're experimenting with this episode and having Alden talk about Flood Escape 2 while he's playing it. He's a little distracted at times, but a lot more animated. This is also a fart-free episode, for once.
In this episode, Alden reviews one of the originals of Roblox gaming madness - Epic Minigames. We cover our favorite maps, how we work as a team, and more farting. Also, there's a secret that he doesn't want his mom to know about in this episode. Keep it between us, okay?
My son's heavy deep into Pet Simulator on Roblox. GravyCatman's to blame (partly), but he's been having a lot of fun with it. We talk about how Alden's been helping me out as a noob, and other aspects of the game he likes. Also, farts.
In our very first episode of Alden's Amazing Roblox Review, Daddy interviews Alden on Bee Swarm. The good, the bad, the informational. I might try to interview him during a game next time. :)
