Celaena takes a day trip to honor the memory of her parents. While out in the wilderness, we get a pretty gruesome reminder of her time in Endovier and her deadly skills. When she gets back, Chaol is there to provide comfort and chocolate cake. Meanwhile, Dorian is frantically searching the library for any hints regarding his magical lineage. We get a brief history lesson on the Fae, magical affinities and the founders of Adarlan. Celaena throws Chaol a sweet birthday party before spilling the beans on her nighttime activities.
Cassian needs a distraction at training after his spicy nighttime visit with Nesta. What better distraction than sparring with Az…while shirtless! Nesta gets a front row seat to the hottest show in all of Prythian. Meanwhile, we get utterly robbed and we will never forget it. Gwyn and Nesta discuss the Dread Trove and Nesta’s training. After an enlightening stroll down the stairs, Nesta comes up with a brilliant strategy to get the priestesses to sign-up. And it works!
After Elain speaks up to volunteer to find the Dread Trove, a big secret is revealed! The Inner Circle is expanding and we are all a bit confused. Cass and Az talk about their soon-to-be new roles. It's seriously the cutest thing ever! After that, Cass decides to repay a debt to Nesta. Lucky Nesta! Plus Gena makes her “ACOTAR Debut” as she calls it!
Chaol has an odd briefing with the King during which he is told about a mysterious threat to Nehemia but given no details. Meanwhile, Dorian is still struggling with his outburst in the hallway and tries to blow off some steam in the fighting ring. Too bad his sleazy cousin finds him. Roland is definitely up to something. Afterwards, the gang all run into each other at the traveling carnival. They meet a creepy old witch who has Celaena scampering away. After a brief meeting with Mort and a troubling nightmare, Celaena ventures outside the city to observe a somber day.
Nesta is battling her (im)mortal enemy yet again…the stairs! She gets to 1,000 this time which is pretty impressive to us. As always, Cass is waiting at the top of the steps for her but she is in no mood to spar with him. She is, however, in another mood all together if you catch our drift. Unfortunately for poor Cassian, he gets a bit too excited and we run into some major miscommunications (UGH)! Everyone is summoned to the River House where we get a lot of troubling and somewhat odd information.
Join us for our 100th ACOTAR episode! Full disclosure, we are still in awe that ya'll have stuck with us this long. We take a trip down memory lane and share your favorite moments from our past episodes. Then we jump back into ACOSF where Nesta has a brilliant idea...but will anyone sign up for it? Elain visits the House of Wind and it goes even worse than we all expected.
After a hot minute away, we are back with a COM episode where we discuss steamy eye contact, gas lighters, and dancing. The tension in the air is climbing higher. OH. And @breathlessbooks is here again for some added spice.
Get hyped everyone! This week we are joined by none other than the CE Ricci (@authorcericci)! To make it even better, Gena (@breathlessbooks) joined us for this incredible episode! We talk about CE’s upcoming releases, the steamiest scenes she has written and her unparalleled skill in naming her characters. You’re going to love this one!
We were going to talk Crown of Midnight and then we didn’t….
Nesta continues her training with Cassian and learns the importance of stretching. She also learns more about Cassian’s past which makes her realize she has been a bit cruel to him. Rhys and Cass have a very clandestine meeting with Eris in the Spring Court. Cassian faces his greatest foe yet, seasonal allergies! The House is the true MVP by supplying Nesta with an endless supply of smutty books, hot bathes and chocolate cake. Finally after a particularly heated dinner encounter, Nesta helps herself recover…repeatedly.
