Hoy quiero compartir un poco de la Asunción de la Santísima Virgen María y lo que significa para nosotros como católicos. La Asunción, sen celebra hoy el 15 de agosto, y es un evento significativo en la Iglesia, ya que conmemora la asunción de la Virgen María al cielo en cuerpo y alma. Esta fiesta destaca el papel único de María en la historia de la salvación y su estrecha relación con su hijo, Jesús. En este dia de la asunción de la Santísima Virgen María los católicos están llamados a asistir a misa para honrar este evento especial, y que manera tan especial de que estemos aquí rezando el rosario de 54 días que termina en octubre, y octubre es el mes del rosario, que los animo a seguir rezando diario.

Welcome back to day 7 of our 54 Days Rosary Novena. I'm your host, Maritza Mendez, and I'm so thankful that you are here to pray with all of us in the podcast. A warm welcome to everyone who is joining us for the first time.
Today, I want to share a little about the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary and what it means to us as Catholics. The Assumption is celebrated today, on August 15, and is a significant event in the Church as it commemorates the Virgin Mary's assumption into heaven, body and soul. This feast highlights Mary's unique role in salvation history and her close relationship with her son, Jesus. The Assumption is a holy day of obligation, meaning that Catholics are called to attend Mass to honor this special event.

Familia, me gustaría compartir algunas actualizaciones para esta temporada. Uno de mis mayores desafíos para mí ha sido incorporar video para nuestro podcast, pero en esta temporada 11 estoy grabando las intenciones para cada episodio. Hello Family,
Welcome back to day 6 of our 54 Days Rosary Novena. I'm your host, Maritza Mendez, and I'm so thankful that you're here today to join us in prayer. For those of you who are joining for the first time, welcome to this beautiful family of prayer.
Family, I want to take a moment to share with some exciting updates about Season 11. One of the biggest challenges for me has been to incorporate video into our podcast. But as we come into season 11, I'm recording the intention for each episode for the podcast. So please be patient with me as I'm improving my recording skills.
Another new addition to this season is that I will be praying live on YouTube. I won't be following the Novena schedule for the novena, but will be praying the daily rosary mysteries. It is going to be a wonderful opportunity to connect with you live.
We also have some exciting interviews lined up for our podcast. This season what I did is that I reached out to other Catholic Creatives on Instagram, so at the moment this week we are scheduling the interviews and hopefully start to do our recordings next week. So please do stay tuned for them.
So overall for this season, we're expanding our reach through various social media channels, and through other Catholic creatives.

Welcome back! This is day 5 of our 54 Days Rosary Novena. I'm so grateful that you are here today to pray with all of us in the podcast. A warm welcome to everyone who is joining us for the first time.
Before we start our prayer, I would like to encourage you to invite your family and friends to join our novena. It’s never too late to start, and on our website, you can find a copy of the prayers. You can download the PDF along with a schedule for the next 54 days.
I'd like to invite you to submit your prayer requests on our website. In a couple of days, I'll start mentioning your names on the podcast. Here's how it works: I read your emails, I reply to your email, and let you know on which day your first name will be mentioned. During a season, I typically get about 3,000 emails, and many of us share similar prayer requests.
All the intentions mentioned in our podcast come from our listeners. While I do mention people's names, I don't go into the details of their petitions. Additionally, I address and respond to emails in the order they are received. So, please do submit your prayer requests.

Bienvenidos de nuevo. Este es el dia 4 de nuestra Novena del Rosario de 54 días. Estoy muy agradecida de que esten aquí para rezar con todos nosotros en el podcast. Bienvenidos a todos los que se unen a nosotros por primera vez.
A medida que continuamos con nuestra novena, hablemos sobre el orden de los misterios para nuestra el rosario de 54 días, que es un poco diferente del rosario tradicional. La novena esta dividida en dos partes: los primeros 27 dias se rezan en peticion, seguidos de 27 dias en agradecimiento. Seguimos una secuencia específica de los misterios gozosos, dolorosos y gloriosos, asegurándanos que cada conjunto de misterios se recen durante nueve días.
Durante las temporadas anteriores muchos de ustedes solicitaron al adición de los misterios luminosos, en la novena de 54 días. En las primeras 9 temporadas, seguimos fielmente los misterios tradicionales que fueron dados en 1884. Sin embargo, respondiendo a sus solicitudes, hemos añadido los misterios como los misterios de luz. Estos misterios fueron introducidos por el Papa San Juan Pablo II el 16 de octubre del 2002.
Estos misterios están centrados en eventos claves del Ministerio Público de Jesús, incluyendo: bautismo en el río Jordán, las bodas de Cana, la proclamación del reino, la transfiguración, y la institución de la eucaristía en la última cena. Papa San Juan, Pablo Segundo, introdujo estos misterios para ofrecer una meditación más completa sobre la vida de Jesús, además del rosario tradicional.

S11 Day 4 - Luminous Mysteries in Petition Aug 12, 2024

Welcome back to day 4 of our 54 day Rosary Novena. I'm so grateful that you're here to pray with all of us on the podcast. A warm welcome to everyone who's joining us for the first time.
As we continue to this journey together, let's talk about the order of the mysteries for our 54 -day Rosary Novena, which is a bit different from the traditional rosary. The novena is divided into two parts: the first 27 days are prayed and petitioned, followed by 27 days in Thanksgiving.
We follow a specific sequence for the joyful, sorrowful, and glorious mysteries, making sure that each set of mysteries is prayed over the nine days.
Over the course of our previous seasons, many of you requested the addition of the Luminous Mysteries. In the first 9 seasons, we faithfully followed the traditional mysteries given in 1884. However, responding to your request, we have added the Luminous Mysteries, also known as the Mysteries of Light. These mysteries were introduced by Pope St. John Paul II on October 16th of 2002.
They focus on the key events of Jesus' public ministry, which includes: the baptism in the Jordan river, the wedding at Cana, the proclamation of the kingdom, the transfiguration, and the institution of the Eucharist at the Last Supper. Pope Saint John Paul II introduced these mysteries to offer more comprehensive meditation of the life of Jesus in addition to the traditional rosary.
On our website, you'll be able to find a schedule which now includes the Luminous Mysteries along with the PDF of the prayers. The link will be listed in the show notes.
Day 4 - Luminous Mysteries in Petition

Blessed Mother, on this feast day of St. Jane Francis de Chantel, we pray for all the people who have been forgotten, for in-laws, for those grieving the loss of a parent, for parents separated from their children. We pray for mothers, widows, and wives. We ask for her intercession and grace to support and comfort all who endure these challenges, bring them peace, patience, and perseverance along with strength,

Antes de comenzar nuestro rosario, quiero compartir algo que ha esta en mi corazón últimamente: el Catecismo de la Iglesia Católica. Es un resumen completo de lo que creemos como católicos, extraído de las Sagradas Escrituras, los Padres de la Iglesia, la liturgia y la autoridad docente de la Iglesia. El Catecismo nos ayuda a profundizar nuestra fe, ofreciendo claridad sobre las enseñanzas que guían nuestras vidas.
Por ejemplo,tiene respuestas a muchas preguntas que enfrentamos en el mundo de hoy, y unas de esas preguntas son ¿cuál es el propósito de la vida? ¿Cómo debemos vivir de una manera que refleje nuestra dignidad como hijos de Dios? ¿Cómo navegar los desafíos morales con gracia y verdad? Y el Catecismo aborda todas estas preguntas y mucho más.
Incluso si hemos sido criados en la fe católica, siempre hay algo nuevo para descubrir y entender más profundamente.
Leer el Catecismo también puede fortalecer nuestra capacidad para compartir nuestra fe con los demás. Cuando estamos seguros de nuestra comprensión, podemos ser mejores testigos de la verdad y el amor de Cristo. Los animo a que se tomen un tiempo para explorar el Catecismo, y espero que enriquezca su fe y profundice su relación con Dios.

Welcome back to day 3 of our 54 Days Rosary Novena. I'm your host, Maritza Mendez, and I'm so grateful that you are here today to pray with all of us on the podcast.

Before we begin our rosary today, I want to share something that’s been on my heart, and that is the Catechism of the Catholic Church. It’s a comprehensive summary of what we believe as Catholics, drawn from the Sacred Scriptures, the Church Fathers, the Liturgy, and the Church’s teaching authority. The Catechism helps us dive deeper into our faith, offering clarity on the teachings that guide us.

For instance, it addresses the many questions we face in today’s world, such as: what is the purpose of life? How should we live in a way that reflects our dignity as children of God? How do we navigate moral challenges with grace and truth? The Catechism addresses all these questions and much more, providing us with a a solid foundation on which we can build our lives.

Even if you’ve been raised in the Catholic faith, there’s always something new to discover and understand more deeply.

Reading the Catechism can also strengthen our ability to share our faith with others. When we’re confident in our understanding, we can be better witnesses to the truth and love of Christ. I encourage you to take some time to explore the Catechism. Let it enrich your faith and deepen your relationship with God.
